Modding community is alive and well for this game even after all this time. This was my first fallout game and i was absolutely blown away with some of the community made content when i recently downloaded it on pc

It's funny.. even tho im not from north america, i feel genuine nostalgia about it, being brazilian almost all of our media and propaganda comes from the U.S., dont know how to feel about it, but song like these, and take me home almost makes me come to tears.
Would make for a good game of Russian roulette: You open such a playlist with no track list, and throughout the total of songs, Johnny Guitar may suddenly appear, but you never know when.
@@LilBiscuit1 Especially when you're packing over 250 pounds of laser weapons, power armor, chems, misc.200+ year old military gear, grenades, mini nukes, and have ED-E and another @$$ kicking companion with the same equipment as you.
I've always felt that this soundtrack was just too short. Though I guess quality over quantity. Also, this was the first Fallout game I played. We have the ultimate edition and our old PS3 can barely run it but it's still amazing.
My PS3 was like the little engine that could, but I'll be damned if fallout didn't blow my fragile mind. I started gaming and the in the early PS2 days And my older brother had a PS1 with a lot of classics. When a friend of mine told me to pick up fallout he tried explaining it to me. I was playing Bioshock at the time and I was like wow that sounds right up my alley and he started mentioning the mechanics and I was like "yeah that's all in Bioshock it'll be just like Bioshock." I had no idea. I'd never played an RPG that allowed so much freedom, it was usual on-rails stuff like FFX and The only open world I got to mess around with was GTA so the idea that I could (nearly) off all the named NPCs was foreign af.
I played this soundtrack on an extensive roadtrip through the US and Canada a decade ago. Ever since this soundtrack gives me an unquenchable feeling of Fernweh.
This music is so great, but when you're listening to Johnny Guitar for the 5th time in half an hour you wanna do Benny a favor and finish the job for him
@caseyburgers3535 nah man, when you play new vegas for 3000+ hours switching the radio doesn't do anything, ive made a 500 hour playlist of songs that fit the style because of this reason. You clearly haven't played for 6 hours straight 🤓

Fun fact; Big Iron is 3 minutes 57 seconds, which CAN also be. the caliber of the "Big Iron" the .357. (Edit: the Big iron is not a 44. Its a Colt Single Action Army. It may be a coincidence that the song and caliber match but the big iron can be chambered in other rounds, Thanks Kobiimac5131) Edit again, Christ I didn't want to start a war. Its a god damn coincidence?
Oh god damn how I used to hate Johnny Guitar when it came on at first. Then later I fell in love with it and it became my favourite song in the whole game 😂😄
Johnny Guitar was my first favorite And it remained so the entire time I played the game for the hundreds of hours. Since at last played the game nearly 10 years ago now 😬 Begin Again and It's a Sin to Tell a Lie have taken my top spots lol. I guess I just like all the sadder songs in the game.
I'm listening these songs and broke down crying, how nostalgic... I really miss that time when i didn't feel so overwhelmed by life and i just could zone out and enjoy an amazing game. It is also amazing to check the comments and seeing more people sharing my love for the game 🖤
As you go forward, you'll learn to accept those negative feelings and grow to be content with life. That's when this game and others will shine again friend
I swear, hearing Mr. New Vegas saying the most wholesome stuff after killing a bunch of legionaries that Caesar sent to kill me, being almost death, seeking for a shelter on a hardcore playthrough is the most soothing thing ever The radio wouldn't be the same without his charisma and charm
Hey, New Vegas. Have you ever said to somebody you loved em when it wasnt quite true? Sure yah have, but you shouldnt, because its a sin to tell a lie 😎
@@firewall42 *I can see that.* Speaking of which, I'm on my second Dark Souls III playthrough, this time with Skyrim music to make the repeated experience more pleasant. Needless to say, I cherry picked the Skyrim tracks that I like. Why play Dark Souls III again? For the trophies! I might "quit" trophies by the time the PS5 hits though...
i like how the two radio stations painted a picture of the two drastically different lifestyles the mojave had in store for people. one is the sound of leisure and decadence, the other is the sound of seeking and surviving. both are fun to shoot geckos in the head to too.
Each song brings back memories of a simpler time in life, wishing I could go back to that time & relive in those moments & cherish every minute of it. Definitely took a lot for granted then just wish I could go back & change everything.
the radio that only plays music in new vegas is quite possibly better than every single one with a host now i want to stroll along a desert highway, shotgun in hands, these songs in my ears
FNV had the best wasteland roaming songs. Other fallouts had better songs for chaotic gunfights but this game was the best for feelin like an apocalypse desperado wandering to the next town and the best job.
@@bumblebee7547Dion is good, and fallout 4 has its own aesthetics but F:NV just was tied together so well with the music. I played back around launch as a kid. Had 3 first, blew my mind when I saw another lmao. Jumped on that shit like a whore on crack. Love this shit still 10+ years later.
@ That whistle was fun for the first couple hours but every time it came up while walking I had to turn it off. It's hard to explain creepy crawly sounds like a good way to describe it yes
Loved the soundtrack for Fallout 3 but never played New Vegas, of course it would also have a gold medley like its predecessor! I can't believe it took me this long to hear this great soundtrack.
Came across this playlist feeling very shitty and it made me feel a lot better. Even though most of its artists are dead, they left something beautiful behind. Thanks for uploading it
@@grolthIf I remember correctly, I was searching up fallout ost and not one was not riddled with ad's. Honestly youtube hates people who are just here to listen to some tunes while working on 3d, drawing or anything where you aren't glued to the screen
@@tediz8280 Um... most ads in videos are put there by the uploader so they can make a little bit of money off of their work people are enjoying for free, not RU-vid.
@@yourewallsareveryconvenien8292 Yup. I just looked up his story after making this comment and it looks like a lot of good talent that made NV ended up leaving.
