It is so unfortunate that this series did not get more funding. Exceptional work. Passionate fans who clearly wanted this to be something other than just a concept. It almost makes me wonder if they could've worked with one of the many total conversion mods out there for FO4 or FONV to get the work to continue.

I have stumbled on this 7 years after it was made from a comment left on the new Fallout trailer. I must have been hiding under a rock or something, this 3 part Pilot was awesome. Everything was spot on, loved the little details like the S.P.E.C.I.A.L book on the floor of the nursery, the vault signage, the Vault itself, the posters, the outfits and the actors were great. What a fantastic job, shame it didn't get any further. Well done to everyone that worked on this, you should all be immensely proud of what you created.

its not about netflix buying it, the fact that this series/movie doesnt exist yet, is blamed soley on bethesda, they dont want any series or movie to be made on their game that doesnt match up to standards of what their game is. As far as I know the maker of the game has over the years received many opportunities to make a movie or series of the game, but has declined all. hopefully he accepted one, and they are currently in the middle of making a series, capturing all the aspects of fallout

This is amazing. This captures Fallout almost spot on! -The old time sounding music -The extreme detail, even to just leaving the SPECIAL book for us to see -The Enclave were crafted perfectly in this show, extremely villainous but professional. Quiet. ( they are my favorite group to fight , no one has ever focused on them too much so thank you! ) -The opening credits alone! :D And finally -The tone and story off the show , a lot of other people who tried to turn this into a show never connected it to the game too much with anything, it was just the waste land but no real Fallout game connections, This show connects to the games with Vault 15 ( mentioned in Fallout One ) The Enclave, and the serious setting, I love it all :D Please keep Making more :)

This was an absolute masterpiece. I am so sorry your Kickstarter didn't go as planned. You 100% deserve to make this series because it is amazing and it retains the feel of the games so well. Super congrats to the prop department for nailing all of the little intricacies of the Fallout world. *claps* You all rock.

Literally everything about this is spot on yet again. The props, the setting, the location. I would even say that the vault set is maybe more realistic, the amount of space in a vault would be a luxury. The Enclave location was also very good (though external flags maybe need adjusting to the Cowpens Flag), that woman with the cigarette was very 1950s, exactly the sort of thing one would expect from The Enclave.

While I loved these short film, it got a lot wrong in terms of canon. Vault 15 was the origins of the Khans, Vipers and Jackals in the west coast. Also, the Enclave had no presence in the California area after 2242, so unless this took place in a different vault and different timeline, then it would make more sense. That much is contradictory. Especially because the last human Enclave President was killed by the Tribal in Fallout 2, again in 2242. The props, the attention to environment detail and vault life was impressive. But the story itself is full of holes.

If so, that is such a cop out and lazy approach to original storytelling. if they couldn't take the time to craft their own story line and setting with this film series, what sense would they have for a full fledged pilot. I respect the effort they put into this, and I actually enjoyed all three parts. But it's irrefutably lacking in the writing side of things.

The decor, easter eggs, outfitting is so spot on and so damn satisfying! The acting might be a bit iffy at times, but for a fanmade series? Pretty damn impressive! Great job!

i agree for a fanmade series this is awesome. however i do think with much buddget,director, more time, etc. just the foundation is clearly there for something truly amazing. and for the most part this really shows what a fallout series could be. there were a few slightly cringeworthy moments though which took me out of the series for a second but yeah like i said i think lots of things need to be worked on. but again the foundation is clearly there.

The fact that this pilot has very little views is criminal, this is definitely one of the best fallout fan films I've seen so far, the visuals and setting are just beautiful, the story and acting are decent but not without a few obvious flaws (but the emotion does come out of the characters without words, which can be hard to pull off), but all in all there's a lot of potential here, and it baffles me that this isn't getting more attention.

I don't understand you people saying this was a cash grab and they got "a shit ton of money". I just found this series today and checked the kick starter page, which was started March 14th, 2017 and self canceled on April 8th 2017 because they "secured alternative funding". They raised all of $2,323 from 52 backers, which wouldn't even come close to covering the cost of what they already released. It's been over 4 years since this video came out and only 68k views of a 14 minute video, so they didn't make much money from RU-vid adds either. Why do people have to leave hateful comments when this was just as good as Nuka Break.

This is a FANTASTIC fan film! How in the hell did I not know about this sooner?! The answer has got to be why this did not get funded via Kickstarter; it just didn't get the widespread attention it deserved. From the sets, to the effects, and the amazing acting, this really was a high quality series. I don't see where @MechanicalCakeTV has done anything else, but if you guys are still out there, please don't give up on the Wasteland! Thank you for what I'm sure was a true labor of love; I really enjoyed it!

They Really need to continue this. I know their Kickstarter was cancelled, but just because it cancelled doesn't mean they have to stop. Many Filmmakers continue their dream and vision no matter the obstacles of finance.

This is honestly the best fan made fallout tv short I’ve ever seen and how these amazing folks didn’t get a backing from someone is beyond me it not only captured the fallout universal perfectly it seems very high production budget and sticks to the lore with great script & acting..... A network or someone needs to get these guys and Bethesda working on something together because this shit was good 🤔

In many moments, this film fulfills, and sometimes even surpasses the original intended emotional and atmospheric qualities that are a fundamental part of the Fallout experience. A+ P.S. I cried at the end.

Wow the passion put into this is tangible. The set design, props, and costumes are fantastic and the vibes are spot on. I really love the vault being a bit dilapidated, it feels lived in and real- it strikes the perfect balance between the preserving the vault aesthetic and feeling congruent to the larger wasteland setting. Honestly I feel like whatever lacks in this series is made up for in sheer earnestness

Bethesda first gives these guys the okay to just "use" their brand, then later renews their own 'Fallout' copyright for television, then these guys cancel their kickstarter because they received a new source of "alternate funding" ... It seems to me like Bethesda may be picking this up and funding it as a legit series! Maybe testing the waters for a movie...

Although it's not perfect this has a lot of good qualities for a show. There are some editing improvements that could be made and some acting could be a bit better, but overall it's spot on. The biggest thing to tackle with something like this is making it feel like the franchise we know and love, and although this doesn't have the goofy side of fallout like nuka break or even some of the in game quests it's still done really well. The little details, the music, the outfits, the atmosphere all portray fallout really well despite the minor flaws and at the end of the day that's what a fan made series should do.

This pilot series was better than a lot of movies I've paid to go see. Exceptional! Astounding! I have so many adjectives. Just stellar cast, writing, props, sets, it's a truly remarkable achievement for a fan made movie. I will now search and see if more was made after this, being it's now 2022. Just stumbled upon this and I commend you all for this film.

Wow, so I was late to playing any of the games from the Fallout series. I'm starting with Fallout 3 then moving onto New Vegas and then 4. Trying to get through as much as I can before the Amazon series drops. But as I wait for that, I found this listed on IMDb and came to check it out. What a great 3 part pilot. So much I picked up after putting nearly 40 hours into Fallout 3, so I'm fresh, but picked up on everything they were putting down in this pilot. The creators should be proud of their work, the actors should be proud of their work, the set designers and costume makers should be proud of their work because this was amazing! Well done!

So amazing!! Too amazing not to be a show or movie! The one thing I cannot wrap my head around is your depiction of Vault 15. Vault 15, as we were introduced to it, was long abandoned, crumbling into time, infested with rodents. Then, squatters take over the area, but not the Vault itself, as it had apparently been deemed unlivable. Then Dorian and his raiders took over the squat as well as the vault, until The Chosen One cleared it out, paving the way for the NCR to claim that tasty real estate. What has become of Vault 15 since the NCR grew, who knows, I'd like to think the city absorbed it, like The Strip and Vault 21. So not only how is it Vault 15 looks remarkably nice considering its former tenants and the wear and tear of the centuries, BUT HOW IS THE ENCLAVE JUST GOING TO INVADE NCR CENTRAL and shoot up the place?

It did because the crew took the contributed money and ran. They never promised an episode 2 so they just never made it, even with the HUGE amount of money they got.

@@tomfriendly2412 Maybe you should check the self canceled kick starter page. The kick starter ran for less than a month and only got 52 backers and raised all of $2,323. Check the size of the cast in the credits, that might have been enough buy all of them dinner to celebrate the completion of part 1. They promised to make episode 2 if they raised $150,000, which they didn't. Also, Bethesda renewed their license to make a Fallout TV show around that time.

yeah my first comment was put in half way through this third portion here. now that ive finished it....MAKE MORE!!!! NOW!!!! Omg when he had to dispose of the vault dwellers...the moment he started loading in their corpses was the moment i broke down and cried. way too real. this is beautiful. seriously if no network picks this up ill be furious. you should get into talks with Amazon and see if they would let you make this an Amazon exclusive series. youd make MILLIONS on this series, no doubt!
