Theory on why Snip Snip replaced her finger - it was originally programmed as a medical robot so the primary programming still took precedence and taking care of her injury was top priority. To me, "golden rule, motherf*cker" is the moment when Lucy has fully adapted to the wasteland. She hasn't given up who she is, but is learning what has to be done to survive. It's an integration of being both a Vault Dweller and a Surface Dweller. FYI, "bomb town" is Megaton.
The "golden rule" line was for me the most satisfying single line in the whole series, the culmination of a kind of moral-education contest between Lucy and the Ghoul. (I teach ethics for a living, and have contrasted that contest with the fatuous conversation of the residents of Vault 33 about how to reeducate the prisoners. Have them read Kant? Seriously??)
What's very interesting is that Chet is literally the biggest person in Vault 33. He even edges out Davey (the older fellow with the moustache), so the dichotomy of Norm (the smallest person in the vault) with Chet makes the pair look even more hilarious and mismatched together, and really plays into subverting tropes. What else is also really good (and I think you both caught it) was the framing when The Ghoul was watching the movie. Pre-war Coop seemed to be talking to Post-war Coop that he was now 'ugly and strong' but had lost his dignity. The show is really so well done with how shots and scenes are framed and presented.
Not sure if you picked up on it during the reaction but Rose McLean's pipboy open the vault from the outside. Also the brother said the computer detected no life signs for 2 years
the drugs that prevent ghouls from turning is a new thing the show added. But it does fit into the lore. The best take I've seen on this addition is that ghouls that retain their mental capacity will continue to do so until...eventually....they start to go feral. Might take a decade, might take a century. But once you start to turn, the drug can keep it at bay indefinitely. As long as you keep taking the drug. Roger said he lasted 28 years "after he started showing". So he might have been 100 years old, but only 28 years on the drug. We know Cooper is over 200 years old, but we have no idea how long he's needed the drug. "A long time" is all he's said.
I don't think it keeps it at bay indefinitely. It seems like Roger took all those vials recently and it was no longer working for him anymore. I believe at some point it will take more and more vials as the ghoul's mind degenerates till the vials do nothing.
You should definitely watch some things with Matt Berry in. I'd really recommend What We Do in the Shadows (he's in the TV series though the film is good as well) and I really like Toast of London as well.
I think that Lucy will always "give a sh*t". She will become more acclimated to the surface world, and in a sense hardened, but still retain a central core humanity.
"Golden rule, Motherf***er" best line in the series. The ghoul in bomb town, you must be thinking of Fallout 3, in the first town you encounter, Megaton, there is a ghoul who works at the bar. His name is Gob. He is a nice guy. Most of the ghouls you will meet are feral, but later in the game you do find a community of the non-feral ghouls. The ghoul you can have a relationship with is Fallout 4, the mayor of Goodneighbor. His name is Hancock. There is also a settlement of ghouls in this game as well.
like i said his backstory is the most interesting thing about this show, but also the fanfare they throw at us, for example, try and spot their character builds, can you guess which is their main stats? i llove the ghoul, but man the actor playing the BoS squire nailed his, like i didnt see it at first but when i did i love that char now too.
I thought I hear him say, "2 month worth." Then the guys in the store said, " 60? Yeah, we have that." If that's right, it seems like he needs one a day. But I could be wrong. 🤘🤔🤪

As a long-time fan of Fallout, it occurred to me after watching several reactions, that the 3 main characters are PLAYERS! Everyone who has played the games for many hours, will probably recognize these player 'tropes' of Fallout... LUCY is the NOOBIE. She has just started the game & she's just getting to know how the world works... LEVEL: 3 MAX is a MORON. He thinks he knows everything. Max has been getting to khow how things work for a while now, but he hasn't really seen the dark, underbelly of this world... LEVEL: 25 The GOULD is a KILLER. He has seen everything. From the top of the buildings, to the untold horrors under ground. The Gould has used every weapon & he has crafted his own guns, & even makes his own ammo. Even if he has TEETH for bullets. The GOULD is a wasteland MASTER!::: LEVEL: 80+ That's the way I see these characters, because I have been ALL of them! 🤘🤪👍 I Hope ya get it, & ya like it, too! 🍻
Norm is 5-1, and Chet is 6-3. I honestly thought Chet was taller since he towers over everyone in this show, but I keep forgetting that actors are usually pretty short, in general. (I'm 6-2, which is why 6-3 doesn't seem that big to me.)
