I would like to think that it was either Nate or Nora's wedding ring falling onto the floor depending on who gets shot. That's what I would like to think even though you find Nate or Nora's wedding ring on them
i heard he was originally supposed to use a unique 10mm pistol instead of the .44 mag and they forgot to remove the sound of the casing in that scene when they made the change
@@the-letter_s dude I’m mad about a lot with Fallout 4. I have so many hours must into that game and I’ve spent so much time playing it but I just complain the whole time about everything. How stupid the writing is, how stupid the dialogue is, how a lot of the Fallout atmosphere has been erased, the settlement building mechanic being shoved down my throat, the RPG elements being absolutely gutted... yet I still have hundreds of hours of playtime sank into it. It really is the ultimate love/hate relationship
@@jacobleukus6930 I have the same thing. I love exploring the Commonwealth and the combat gameplay is great fun, but the story and writing are so lacking in comparison that no ending is that satisfying for me.
@@drinfernodds exactly and they aren’t even lacking just by comparison they are just lacking overall. The game just straight up doesn’t have good writing
56:05 I think what happened is that Mantis accidentally witnessed the Mysterious Stranger outside of VATS, creating a paradox which fundamentally destroyed all the 1st person Fallout games on his PC.
Bethesda do seem like the sort of development company that would manage to make one bug that breaks all the games running on the same engine on one person's PC
Jokes aside who was that guy? I’m familiar with NPCs used for some sort of singular function, like the narrators for FNV, but this guy seems strange. Kinda creepypasta-ish the way it crashes your game and uninstalls your files.
In Fallout 3, if you immediately go straight to Mr. Burke before talking to anyone in Megaton, then rat him out to Lucas Sims which causes Lucas' death, pretty much every conversation in town will change when asking about him. This doesn't happen if you've spoke to anyone before talking to Mr. Burke.
When I first attacked victor I thought he said "D*ck suck, boom kill." Realized later he actually said "Next stop boot hill!" I was 14 or something gimme a break
fun fact/tip: In New Vegas during the "They went That-a-Way" quest, when you reach Novac you need to kill or help the ghouls in the Repconn test site for Manny Vargas but if you enter his room and read his terminal it will progress the quest AND give you some evidence for Swank to help you kill Benny It's not even considered a crime
@WINRetrogaming98 my first time doing it I actually boxed the guy in the first fight. But the 2nd and 3rd I went below the belt. A 1 hit ko and the last fight went about 5 or 6 rounds
In fallout 2, you can find a tragic the gathering card set, and it gives you 50$, but if you wait, and go to gecko, in the harp, you can play a ghoul, and win more decks. Edit: if you’re wondering where to find one, there is a set it Vic’s shack, in the desk.
@@fkcrewclips2852 no, couriers and followers were safe in Caesar's lands as long as Caesar was alive. If the legion win the battle for the dam, and Caesar is alive, the followers at the fort are permitted to leave and return to the NCR safely. However, if Caesar is dead and the Legion wins, then Lanius has them all killed, as they had defamed Caesar
Dunno if this is common knowledge but in the lake with the crashed B29 on the floating platform you can find the wasteland survival guide that is the only one I’ve found but there is probably more that spawn
Usually found first in Lone Wolf Radio since its so close to Goodsprings, but they are def not in places that you normally go during the main quest line. The floating platform is probably next, since it's such a unique location.
The writers ability to pull at your heart strings across the games is incredible to me. Herbert and Argyle's story definitely mad me feel bad for the both of them. And the The Survivalist terminal entries from Honest Heart brought me to genuine tears.
Kellogg's gun was originally going to be a unique 10mm. The change to a 44 revolver happened late in development and they just forgot to remove the sound file for the shell.
I just binged watched all four of these today, lol. Another really cool feature that is really rare in Fallout 4 is that deathclaws can throw cars at you. I don't think I've seen it mentioned in any of these videos yet, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
@@HelheimMudkip the macho man throwing veggies at his enemies is something I really wanna see lmao “Oooooooohyeeeeeea the macho man knoooows if you eat your veggies you might be as strong as me, randy savage the macho maaaan. But we all know that won’t happen hahahaa cos if there’s one thing the macho man knooows is that NO ONE can beat randy savage in the ring! Ooooooohyeeeeeeahh!!!!”
Not sure if this has come up, but during the quest Come Fly With Me with Jason Bright and his brotherhood. If you manage to sneak your way through the entire facility without killing a single ghoul, you can find them all inside the rocket bay awaiting launch when after you clear out the nightkin.
Isn't that how the Quest is suppose to go though? I thought they always met up there, ready for launch. Then you get to choose whether it goes well, or doesn't go so well.
@@CallMeMimi27 Normally same, but after hearing about how you can complete the Brotherhood of Steel quest to murder the VanGraffs, by failing the VanGraffs "doorguard" quest (don't pat the guy down with the bomb and he does all the work for you) I thought I could get the ghouls to kill the Brights, but this happened instead.
56:00 the fact that the quest “not of this world” pops up right as the strange NPC hauls ass away from you is super spooky too. Uninstalled all your games… sounds like a great start to a creepy pasta. But it actually happened. Lmao
Wow, I am blown away finding that doc Mitchell has different dialogue when you take the vigor tester. High or low stats with any attribute and you get a unique piece of dialogue. Without videos like this one it's difficult to learn this stuff by just playing the game uninformed.
Point Lookout was the best DLC for modern Fallout. It has a lot of potential to be a bigger expansion, yet it is loaded with unique vibe and lore, very Lovecraft/Call of Chtulu style and fooken Maryland mysteries.
Boone's story is just so sad, despite me going on a murder spree throughout the wasteland Boone killed his wife so she could not be slaves and still kept a letter for her dead wife.
There's ways to get the big boomer or any weapon u want without killing. 1 - hit the npc, then shoot their arm and the weapon drop and holster your weapon to cancel combat. 2 - Steal their ammo, use some door to enter and come back to npc and steal his weapon pickpocketing. 3 - Steal npc ammo, then shoot him, holster weapon and pickpocket their weapon.
Random thought: I hate when RPG characters are like "you don't look like you belong here", or something along those lines. Bitch, I'm in a full suit of X-01, I belong anywhere I fucking please
About the homerun achievement, i also believe there is a kid in diamond city that says that their favorite thing to do is to run the bases or something like that and they will be running around the bases.
13:37 Fantastic Never seen him join with the Legion! I don't think I've been back to HELIOS after finishing that quest. 14:44 He says he doesn't remember begging. Or, who was begging. Because of chems? But the Legion outlaws all chem use, don't they..? Okay. My next playthru is gonna maybe be a Legion run with high INT. Me and Fantastic are gonna have a fckn intense convo
48:04 Just for the sake of saying it, props to the team of modders recreating Fallout 3 into the Fallout 4 engine. The Trapper's Shack is recreated into the Point Lookout mod for Fallout 4 down to EVERY detail INCLUDING the mini bottle of Quantum. It was the first place I headed to once I downloaded the mod into Fallout 4 and it's absolutely perfect. :)
I think it’s also hinted that Deacon was looking into Vault 111 before the sole survivor was unfrozen, and if you go up the hill behind vault 111 there is a small camp with a railsign.
This is the channel i never found but needed in my fallout-content deprived life.... thank you for continuing to provide content from my favorite series!!! i hope there will be another fallout game release that may take the community for a loooooong ride
Hey TKs-Mantis! First of all, thank you for your videos! As a "former" Fallout 3 addict, your videos contains lots of intersting stuff and background stories I've never heard before! I myself spent hours to play Fallout 3 back then and it's still catching me every now and then, to watch some youtube videos. So glad I've found yours :) One of the main reasons I keep watching such videos on youtube is, because I've found also some very, very interesting glitches in Fallout 3 back then, which I've never saw or even heard mentioned in any video in all those years. Well I could be all wrong and just missed them, but anyway I would like to share - the maybe most interesting one - with you guys and it would be awesome, to see it in your next video. First of all, I used to play the german version on the PS3 and also please excuse my gramatic errors, since english is not my first language. Having two companions simultaneously: Usually if you already have a companion and asking another one to join you, they will decline. However, if you're able to run away fast enough from your current companion (until he is out of sight) and ask another one to join you, they will. As an example, Fawk the Mutant is very slow. While having him as your companion, stand outside about 200 meters away from the main entrance of the museum of history. Take off all of your armor, clothes and guns! Then run to the main entrance as fast as you can. Enter the door and go upstairs to the 9th circle. Run straight to Charon, the Ghoul companion, and ask him to join you. Since Hawk is still out of sight, he will not recognice that you already have a companion and he will join you. It takes a few more seconds until Hawk is arriving, and from then on, they will both function as your companions. They will both follow you, carry your stuff and follow your orders. Also this glitch used to work every time so I'm still surprised, that to my knowlege, nobody else (100x more hardcore gamers as I ever used to be) ever found this glitch as well. Since my PS3 is long long gone, I have no way to prove it. So I'm kindly asking you and anybody in here, to try it out und make a video of it. If a video already exists, then please share it with me. I have also some more interesting glitches in Fallout 3 to share, but this one is by far the most useful one. So please let me know! Thanks :)
Hey idk if you’ve already covered this or if this is something already known by the community but I think PAM from fallout 4 is a reference to AM from the sci-fi horror book I Have no Mouth, and I Must Scream by Harlan Ellison. AM is a supercomputer that was developed by world nations in order to predict world annihilation. But AM becomes self aware and takes over the world. I find similarities between their names and PAM has a theory around her which sounds like the plot to the book. Ty if your read all that I love your work on these videos🙏
This was such a good video. It brought back some old memories from playing fallout new Vegas and fallout 4. Keep up the good work, I could listen to you all day you make it even more interesting!
Funnily enough, when you go back to the Memory Den to watch Kellogg's memories, Amari has unique dialogue when you re-enter the Cryogenic sequence from his perspective IF, and ONLY IF you came to the memory den to get referred to Nick Valentine.
Y'know, it makes me wonder why the memory of your spouse being killed is what shows in the memory den quest, kinda further cements to me that the Sole Survivor is probably a synth, as if all the other stuff didn't basically verify it.
During the FalloutNV tutorial quest where you have to get Xander root and a broc flower, you can get it behind the downed metal telephone/electric pole. If you continue up the ridge, you can find a small supply cache. If you jump down the cliff next to the fridge you can find a Merc suit.
The Rocket Shed setpiece and the bowling alley one are both quite a bit of fun to mess around with in VR. Being able to directly grab things and interact with them is a game changer in these sort of games in a lot of ways
Love the vid, odd coincidence, I'm playing FNV right now and as you said something about pointing your gun at your companion, I did it to Boone, and the audio synced perfectly.
As a Command and Conquer fan, had to make a small loving correction. Nod is not an acronym, it's just the word. It's specifically a bible reference, named after the place Cain (who leads Nod in Command and Conquer) went to after commiting the first murder. Love your work, and honestly didn't know the two series were connected in any way
I'd already watched all of these, but I didn't have anything else to watch, so... at the end I'm rewarded with a longer clip of Testify than usual. So worth it. I should go listen to the whole thing.
2nd to last fun fact the cars in trees is something trees will sometimes although rarely do when they grow under a car ive seen a forgotten bike swallowed by a tree and lifted maybe 40 feet into the air
I don't know if this been said but if you kill the ghouls in the metro before talking to Herbert he won't have the option to talk about Argile. Also I find the 10 Luck response from the Doc to be the funniest one.
First? But on another note. I’m glad there’s still so many new things being discovered in these old games. Makes me really realize how much effort and detail has been put into the games
It's too bad the Goodsprings Settler always dies, before I can even get to her, because NPCs in this game have health bars weaker than wet tissue paper... Tried to save the settler in Goodsprings Cave, only to run into the same problem...
In fallout 3, depending on if you wear a slave suit, walk up to the slaver in your normal armor, or shoot them up, it all has different dialog and animations, but end up in the same beginning of the the Pitt dlc
Maybe it had been said bafore, but I have 2 things from Fallout in mind. First in Fallout 2 : If you have a weapon drawn inside the city with mutants and humans living together (forgot the name) one mutant wil warn you to put it away 2 or 3 times. If he sees you with it after, he will attack. The saecond in Fallout 3 : somewhere when going to the oasis, there is ants fighting smaller, non-agressive ants. You can help the small ants and even enter their burrow nearby (unmarked location). Inside you can interact with their nest and do something like pumping stimpacks in it to boost the larveas health. Never knew if it changed anything afterward.
Lol I remember stumbling upon the Chinese stealth suits while I was lost in Hoover Dam trying to get out when I first visited the dam after stumbling upon it
