***** another tip: when you recall them they won't take any more damage on the way back including if they come back to raiders at your door. So basically you always get your stuff as long as you call them back alive!
Want to survive? Than make sure your vault doesn't look like 0:30 People are having a hard time at Fallout Shelter because they are growing to fast. Yeah sure built a giant vault in your first hours, while you're at it you might as well build a giant sign with "please screw us royally" written on your entrance. Keep your vault compact the first days and strengthen your defense. Train your dwellers and collect weapons and armor. If you're lucky you get a legendary dweller and a weapon or two from your first lunchboxes.
+Edward Zhang I've being playing this game for a while, I've started again 7 times and I can say compact is better. Yeah you may stabilise but eventually you'll fuck up because more rooms and less dwellers = waste of power.
Also, never have more than 2 pregnant people starting off, or at any point for that matter. It's only really safe if your resource bars are almost always filled up completely.
Joey Deguelle exactly save your self alot of anxiety of going through a vicious cycle, if you train your dwellers to have at least 6 base of that stat ASAP. assuming you 3x stack and upgraded at least once it'll take 1 day to get a highly efficient workforce.
It's hard to take you seriously as a positive vault builder when your vault is in shambles, your dwellers are all hating you, radiated, at half health and starving. Seriously? You're vault is half dead and your putting out tips on how to create a successful vault?!
I didn’t even take tips and I have a fully success full vault whit a power armor , dogmeat , A fricking laser mini gun (which is much better than a normal) , And A Mr Handy , So , And I Onoy Had 2 Deaths , And It’s Very Easy , Only Have A Problem Whit Electric stuff and Water , But I Have Many Stim Packs And Rad-Aways , So I’m Okay I Guess, Also , I HATE GLOWING GHOULS.
Why take tips from a person with minimum production, 10% happiness, A tiny ass vault, and has obviously never played fallout and doesn't know anything about fallout. There is so many things wrong with video 😂
+Alan Lightner it matters because special is the stats of the game. S=strength P= perception E=endurance C=charisma I=intelligent l=luck mainly if you don't know what these are you don't know how to play the game right..this guy probably never played a real fallout game.
+Alan Lightner the player should care because it can save you. When a person shows up at the vault and he wants to know where to put them, not knowing the letters lead to: food, water, electricity shortage, happiness shortage, and no orginization. So knowing what S.P.E.C.I.A.L means is important....
Radio towers are the exception, it's better not to merge that room. I have like ten single radio tower rooms, when I wake up in the morning, those ten rooms all have new dwellers and it's great
I did the same thing, put a storage room and a radio tower on the far right next to each other on the far right (you know, the space to small to hold a 3 room merge)
+Eon Chaos Order wow, that is indeed very helpfull. i have a 3x storage room, and everytime some accidents happens it freaks the shit out of me couse no one's in there :D
Put as many maxed out lvl 1 dwellers in wasteland with 20 stims each and make sure their weapon is 15-23 dmg and go to date and time then skip ahead 1 day and check back then skip ahead one more day then check back keep repeating until they say they can't carry any more then skip ahead day by day until they come back and you will get lots of caps junk and weapons and outfits and they will likely be lvl50 when they return (p.s and no pistols and bb guns aren't good scrap them or sell them) also every 7 days you will receive one lunchbox .
Actually, if you fail to rush a room, the happiness of all the dwellers in that room drops significantly which can hurt ongoing production speed, so there IS a risk associated there. On the other hand: succeeding will raise their happiness a lot as well. Also note, when dragging and dropping characters over utility rooms that are already at maximum dweller capacity for that room: the number that shows up could become a "+" or "-" number. This means if you place this dweller into that room, they will swap with another dweller and either increase or decrease the room efficiency as a result of that swap. Lastly: when a dweller is exploring the wasteland, the recall time is actually HALF of the exploration time. Otherwise, GREAT video man... keep up the good work on the game!
***** Matt, you can organize dwellers by lvl, special (S,P,E,C,I,A,L), happiness, status, and job. Just click on it in the dweller list. Keep clicking on the special stat to scroll the special you want to organize it by. The dwellers are unhappy because when you don't have enough water, they start taking radiation damage (red bar that appears in the health bar). When you have insufficient amount of food, they take health damage. When you don't have enough power, rooms shut down. You can take the radiation away with radaways (produced by science labs). Hope this helps and great video.
I only have 4 dwellers with high strength in my 3 room power generator 3 wearing army clothes and the highest strength wearing the army officer So they have a good boost to strength and all of them have hunting rifles and just killed raiders easy
I know this is 1 year ago... but if you still didn't get it, then here it is I think he is demonstrating the failing vault as your then, he will try to change it up into good one
***** Thats a shame I really like the game but for now i just hope they come out with an update sooner rather than later so it works well with all devices.
If you rush at a higher population, later in the game(50 dwellers I think), there is a thing called Radscorpions, and it drains power faster than three three-roomed max levelled powerplants, and it has the ability to CRIPPLE your vault, not worth it, do not rush until you have weapons that do at least 13 or more damage, people this guy has barely any experience with the game, the comments will teach you more!
Hey here's a tip - I've tried this game doing it fast and slow paced and I found out recently that going fast paced is gonna seem really cool and fun at the start, but the next day you're going to have dead bodies lying everywhere. However if you go slow paced, even with two raider attacks, you're gonna survive. Also you should not build so many buildings at one go, yes merging rooms is great but don't build too many because it increases the demand for power and you're gonna face proble3ms soon enough so you should build just enough for everyone to be working happily. Uh and another thing the charisma of the person is not really for the speed of reproduction in the living quarters, but its actually for the radio studio later on, to attract new dwellers. and Endurance isn't for storage rooms just saying its for exploring, luck as well, so if you have a guy with a lot of endurance and luck , pack him with stimpacks , radaways , armour and weps and he'll go on for days. Of course don't give him all your resource though... actually your account is much more fortunate than my current one because I have suffered 3 raider attacks, and my best weapon is a shotgun with its accuracy ranging from around 10-12.. errr here's a tip - don't send them out yet. focus on your vault first hahaha
"10 Tips, Tricks & Secrets to get more Caps, Dwellers & Rank Up Fast!" LMAO you literally just repeated what the tutorial shows you at the start of the game. Good one.
if you have 3 buildings together it still makes 3 med packs same as 3 separate. the advantage is that you do not need separate dwellers in each building , you have them all together so you have your best and worst working together rather than best and worst in separate rooms
I love this game it's so addicting! I have 74 dwellers and I'm training 3 people to get max stats for them so they can do extremely well in the wasteland! So far they have 10 strength and Agility!
shamoothewhale1 Also if you send your dwellers out with radaways and stimpacks they will be able to survive for much much longer, I sent one guy out with 35 stimpacks and radaways and he's been out in the wasteland for 2 days now.
A few more tips. 1. Stimpacks; LOTS of them, when sending dwellers into the wasteland, always give them as many stimpacks as they can carry (25) and some radaway. but keep some stimpacks in the storage, in case of an incident, it's better to use stimpacks, than wasting caps reviveing them. (Each stimpack restore 50% health, so don't wait till they only got 1% left, just heal them when they are around 50%) 2. Plan the "night shift"; When you are "away from the vault" (when the game is closed) the dwellers still train and those in the wasteland still fight, so if you are going to sleep or othervise know that you aren't going to play for some time, place as many dwellers in training rooms as possible, and look at how you dwellers in the wasteland is doing, it's better to call one who still got 5 stimpacks back, than having to waste caps reviving him in the morning. 3. Quick equip the best weapons; I have 2 legendary weapons, and I never give them to dwellers who is going into the wasteland, I give them to dwellers in rooms, that is hit by an incedent, or when when raiders attack, instead of having to find and drag the dwellers with the weapons each time, and then waiting for them to moveto the room.
Disliked. How are you supposed to give us tips, tricks or secrets when you don't even know SPECIALs and "learning this game"? Also, my happiness in the vault is 75%.
BEST possible thing to do is invest your time and caps to build up their stats as soon as you get 25 dwellers for at least for the essential strength, agility, and perception rooms --others is optional. building up to 6+ base stat per group of 6. process takes 1 day per group to have highly efficient workforce (assuming room is 3x stacked and upgraded once). save as much caps as possible for each room before scaling up! save your self a lot of anxiety from vicious cycle of overcrowding, comes dwindling [resource], then procreating more dwellers to run production, ultimately repeat until everyone dies or you get a break down
Haven't read all the comments so don't know if this is listed. In the beginning if you get equip quests for outfits or weapons and you already have dwellers with weapons or outfits equipped, take them off and put them right back on, you get credit for the quest.
Here’s my tip (for you) about increasing happiness. *give them full health and no radiation (health is that green bar and radiation is that red bar, both under to that dwellers name) *make them reproduce *have successful rushes *have good amounts of food, water, and power. *if you have a radio station/room, turn the vault option on You’re Welcome 😉!
Ceasar Gamotin the radio studio will increase vault happiness even if it isn’t set to vault. Turning that on just makes it stop calling dwellers from the wasteland
I had 60 dwellers and then I got attacked by Radscorpions and I lost about 23 dwellers then LITERALLY right after the attack I get attacked by mole rats and I lost all my dwellers :/ and I was doing really good :( now I only have six left
N0 l are you serious u had 60 dwellers at least one of them must of had a weapon and a raider attack radscorpion attack are extremley easy to win esspecially mole rat attacks either your lying or your just really bad at the game
Some tips to people starting. not in order. 1. (Actually the golden rule) SAVE YOUR CAPS! Caps are crucial from upgrading the Vault door and the other rooms. In case your Vault members die, you'll have enough to revive them (I made this mistake too many times :( ) 2. Upgrade your SPECIAL As you know Vault/Dwellers will have stats more or more across the board like S will be higher or S/A/L will be higher than the rest, etc. When you get high enough, build the SPECIAL rooms so you can train individual stats; note the higher hours will take longer (ex 1 point is on hour). Each stst determines health, loot, attacks, and vice versa. i recommend your train one stat then move on to the next. 3. Keep whatever rare/legendary gear/weapons you get from quests then equip them. Some do massive damage and will pair greatly with members with a high A. 4. At some point you will unlock the Nuclear Reactor, they are easily better than the power room. albeit worth a lot more caps, the reactor decreases the limit before your power supply runs low. More power, be sure to equip outfits with decent to high S. others may be a bonus but reactors need high S. 5. KEEP MR. HANDY. Mr. handy is the best for when you're not on your phone or console. The key thing is that he collects resources so be sure to assign him to floors with both rooms like power room/medical bay, etc. He'll keep collecting resources when you're not able to and keeping vault happiness from depleting. 6. Keep a legendary Dweller(s) on Quests and the Wasteland. Currently me legendaries are Mr. Burke and Bittercup. Burke has the Power Armor and Bittercup looks normal. Once you have a legendary or more, you can send them on quests and wasteland without having to spend hours and hours of them doing work then dying in the wasteland; can be great vault defenders as well. 7. SPECIAL Strength (decrease time in S rooms, open lunch boxes and lockers, increase damage output, increase capacity) Perception (hit chance in combat, decrease water production time, find abandoned buildings, critical attack crosshairs contract and move slower) Endurance (health points gained per level up, resistance to radiation at max level; 10 and outfits that go passed 10 reach radiation immunity, resist damage) Charisma (improved fertility, decreases time in radio station) Intelligence (reduced med bay timers, heal/help people in wasteland, increased EXP gain) Agility (reduced timer in diner and garden, retreat with taking less damage) Luck (decrease chance of rush failure, increase amount of caps earned when you collect resources, increases critical bar fill up rate, amount of loot found)
If you click the word "SPECIAL" at the top of the personnel listing, repeatedly, it will scroll thru the attributes. This makes it easy to find the attribute more efficiently. Oh, BTW -Rushing rooms is not about the % it's about luck attribute; before you rush a room, change their clothes to be higher luck.
There isn't just 3 incidents. There's 5. 1. Radroach Infestation This can occur randomly, or as a Rush incident. This is mostly harmless, and it qualifies as an enemy. It decreases Dweller and Mr Handy's health, and if you have equipped your dwellers with weapons of damage over 20, they should die instantly. Hint. Keep a few weapons around at the ready in case this happens! 2. Vault Fire This is a simple one. It occurs randomly or by rush fails. Dwellers begin putting the fire out with extinguishers and Mr Handy has one, too. The more people helping, the quicker the fire gets put out. If the fire has nobody stopping it, it will grow and spread to nearby rooms. Hint. A merged room can put out the fire quicker because it has more Dwellers 3. Raider Attack This one is more harmful. It will occur randomly, and cannot be the result of a rush. Raiders come to your Vault door, and begin smashing it. Depending on your vault door level, it will take a certain amount of time for them to break it open. Once it's open, they will go room to room, stealing resources. Mr Handy and all Dwellers in their current room will fight them off. You can tap on a dead Raider to collect from him. Hint. Keep Dwellers at the door to act as guards! 4. Molerat Infestation These are pretty much upgraded Radroachs. They infest and room touching dirt randomly, and can not be the result of a rush. They are pretty much Radroachs, but they steal power. Hint. Keep a few weapons around at the ready in case this happens! 5. Deathclaw Attack This is the worst one, and the only I've never experienced. Upon this, it's like Raiders. He goes to the door, breaks it down, and goes room to room. But he only kills, and with great efficiency. Hint. Keep a load of Stimpaks and Guns in case he comes along!
Coolclev erstone and that living quarters you cannot get rid of on the top because the game makes you start out with it sooooooooooooooooooooooooo everything is good
Omg thanks this helped me I was on Xbox and I just started I had to assign dwellers to the right room an I didn't understand their special bars and you explained it to me thanks
Here's a proper tip for YOU. Don't build your vault downwards around the default elevator shaft so that all invaders can access the entire vault and run around wherever they please, build large power and water rooms on the second level around the elevator bottom, then go all the way right, and drop a second elevator down, one level, then drop power and water rooms all the way to the left, THEN you can build a third left-most shaft which you can have all the way to the bottom, and another elevator on the center or far right, without connecting it to the top-most one. This way when invaders come inside your bunker they are forced to follow a path through the power and water rooms which are filled by people with S and P which you can load up with guns and good gear to tackle whoever comes in.
i have played this game for 3 weeks straight now, and visiting my vault 2 times a day. Sometimes 1. And so far.. it has been great. It has been between 86-96% no more or less and my vault is huge. I have around 90+ dwellers and all the resources are allways 95-100% full. I keep my 6 wastelanders outside with maximum stimpacks and circle them between vault and wasteland if getting low on health and not enaugh stimpacks. It has been great game so far. But im using HTC one m7 right now and its lagging like hell to me. This game is best for tablets or newer mobiles i bet. But overall.. its good game.. time goes by very quickly and soon i can forget that game and start playing fallout 4 :P
One tactic I've been using is sending my three best explorers out overnight, even if you can't afford the Stimpaks and RadAways to keep them alive. Even if they die, they're probably gonna have more than enough caps to pay you back for revival, plus a load of loot :L
I have 1 tip if you have to many stimpak or radaway waste them all by giving it to your dweller that is about to explore the wasteland and that dweller will survive many hours
when i first started i got a legendary survivor with a sniper. When i let him explore i watched an ad to make him go for 30m and he went from level 4 to level 37
Secret change the time on your device to as many days it takes to get another lunch box then skip 7 days again and again (make sure that you don’t have an appointment set at a time) then get all the lunch boxes. Warning this will eat up your power an stuff so at first skip ahead 1 day at a time until you have all full then do it then when you’re done go back to the actual day. Warning make sure that you write down the day Secret one of the sounds that you hear when managing dwellers I expect you to die (a vr game) uses it.
also rooms that at different stages of upgrade will not connect but once they are at the same level they will so don't tear em down if you make this mistake.
Heads up to anyone who wants to know!! When you get a dweller pregnant, it takes THREE hours till they're ready to give birth, then the child takes THREE hours to mature. Also, if you have babies ready to be born but don't have the resources just yet, you can hold off before initiating their birth. It is, however, difficult to avoid tapping the baby logo. GL my fellow dwellers/overseers!
Another Tip from me that took almost a year to learn about: Every time you rush Successfully, the dwellers inside the rushed room will become more happier. So if you have everything in the game, but your dwellers are not happy, then try to rush. Good part: Gives your supplys and 10% more happiness (when successful) Bad Part: Gives you a incident and 10% less happiness (when unsuccessful)
I make sure I have three rooms merged on the top floor for raids. While the raiders break in, I grab my best dwellers to ready at the entrance. Then, I grab any armed dwellers to assemble at the merged room to finish off the raiders since the entrance guards managed to weaken them.
Also, maybe try using the radio to get dwellers rather than kids. Just watch out for the death claws. And please, start doing that once you are prepared first.
Also by tapping special while searching in the menu with dwellers you can specify what you want so it shows what dwellers are highest in that and if 2 dwellers or more have the same specified special Stat in one of the catagorys the one with higher total special stats also if you leave dwellers out of vault for a week they will be fine may be patched idk
Can someone please tell me why my game every 30 min keeps playing a "dummm dummm dummmm" sound? It sounds evil and like something happening but I've looked and see nothing.
It's this guy called the mysterious stranger and if you find and tap him he will give a random amount of caps the most I got is like 1,500 and the guitar "Waaahhh" means he's gone.
