I made translation with google translate for sonora. Link is on my channel's banner. Download and read readme first. And share this translation with others.
In Russia we have a lot fanats of old fallouts (This games most favorite in Russia), and most of new fanats respect classic fallouts and plays mostly Fallout new Vegas, nobody loves Fallout 4 and Fallout 3 in Russia. I am apologize for my English I am almost forget this language
Greetings @Warlockracy! I loved this video so much and was so surprised by the lack of Fallout: Sonora content on RU-vid. I made an easy installation guide with an English Translation and have since started a full playthrough! Thank you for inspiring this dream! I will give you a shoutout!
Those 3D talking heads really are beautiful, great works of art. The vanilla ones were claymation models, apparently. Possibly my favourite material used in stop-motion, a style I already like. The rippled textures and jerky mehanical movements lend themselves well to surreal horror and fantasy - or endearing man-and-dog animations, if you polish it round and smooth enough. 🧀 Imagine Talos the bronze titan slowly rotating his dreadful, lifeless visage to stare upon the characters in Jason And The Argonauts, but recreated with modern CGI. No, not the same. And, of course, the shrieking skeletons. And the six-armed statue from The Golden Voyage of Sinbad. Ah, too many to name. I remember playing an old game that you can't get anymore outside of torrenting called Magic & Mayhem (Or, in some territories, a name that involved Mage Wars). It had a great voice actor narration and all the character models and cutscenes were claymation. The frame rate was like a legless pisshead climbing up the stairs at 3:00 in the morning, but something with that kind of charm deserves a remake and not to be lost to the ages. The kids these days need some more claymation joy in their lives. Thses are the hard-hitting issues that only occur to a man on the toilet.
@@IcantAIM-wiz yeah. Imagine playing the usual Fallout 2, then popping into Mysterious Farm (on a quest, ofc). And then, the second you fall in the tunnels below, the screen darkens and Underrail main theme pops out.
I love that they included the Flagstaff Natural History Museum, and the dinosaur they have on display in the lobby of the museum! That's so great attention to detail! I lived in Flagstaff for several years, I'd love to explore an isometric Flagstaff Fallout whenever the translation becomes available
As a musician who seeks great influence out of atmospheric scores more & more lately, I am really impressed how closely they managed to capture the desolate & ominous essence of Mark Morgans creations. If I wasn't told who created the soundtrack for Fallout Sonora, I would have easily thought that they hired Mark for those amazing compositions. Even though I have no skills in modding or game design, projects like these really inspire me to maybe learn about it or maybe even study it in the future. Because I have countless ideas for fallout fitting lore & stories in my mind. I even written scripts how to make fallout 3 for example a real rpg instead of a shooter with rpg elements. Im not really much of a gamer, merely a person who appreciates love & passion put in a project. Which was visible in Obsidians/Black Isles fallout games. Im also very grateful that so many modders & game designers are out there keeping the spirit of classic fallout still alive to this day. It would be an honor to be a part of a dev team some day to pitch them ideas for stories. This project looks really promising & I will definitely try it once its in english. And I hope that they find suitable voice actors to do the excellent talking heads animation & looks justice. Also, Subscribed. Btw you have a great narrating voice.
Just gotta let you know man, I am a huge fan of your work. It is crazy how underrated your channel is, you produce such high-quality content and I love every video you produce. Thank you for pushing these out to us bro.
Got to say: this mod looks a pretty damn cool combination of the best of Fallout 1 and 2, even with the flaws the video points out. I would love to give a spin some time.
I love this channel so much. Your voice is very entertaining and I love the games you cover. Really appreciate the eastern perspective and insight and obscure game coverage.
Fallout 1 & 2 modding community: We made a full game with an entirely new setting, factions, original, yet lore-friendly storyline and hundreds of sidequests Bethesda Fallout modding community: Wow PiP scopes
I discovered this channel with this video and have binged a majority of your videos for the past day. Your content is superb and I look forward to seeing more. Keep on keeping on.
i love your youtube channel im slowly watching all of your content. thank you for sharing stuff i would never touch in an epic format i can enjoy :) keep it up.
It's amazing how a modder manage to completely embarass Bethesda when it comes to integrate a modded fallout game of his own, seamlessly into the lore of F1, F2 and FNV.
I updated my english translation for Fallout Sonora. I removed most of the bugs. I tested it by gameplay and it works really good. You can download through link on my banner.
Any word on if there's been any translations finished on this yet? It looks and sounds fantastic! Also, I'm torn on whether I'd want this talented mod maker to enter the indie game dev scene or just remain in the modding scene
You dont upload enough to be annoying, some of what you make is of great interest to me, and the conveyances are of the superior quality I've only seen since the open democratizing, and access, of entertainment media. Subscribed, and thanks for sharing what you create
Too damn good review! It’s a pity that I’ve played Sonora some time ago and it appears to be the old version or so since I have noticed a lot of new stuff in your video. Thanks!
"What is this? Fallout Tactics?" You won't see me complaining (although I will concede that F:WW is way better than the table-top "wargame" included with the Tactics. Not in the least because it's actually finished and playable). A few notes (not entirely sure if I'm 100% correct on these, though): 1) The line about imitating research in the cyborgs' camp reads more like actors imitating scientists in the movies - as in NPCs should walk around, blurt out random lines, et c. in order to sell the player on some sort of work being done in the HQ; 2) The line about "kulaks" is written in broken Russian and reads more like either a low Int option or the guard trying to answer you in broken English (and while I see how it may be read that way, it just feels too much out of left field, all things considered). It would read something like this in English: "Me speak language of fists (or kulaks). Watch and be amazed, native!"; 3) The mobile base, AFAIR, firstly figured in the really early script draft wherein BoS and the offspring of the Overseer from FO1 teamed up to make lobotomites, be evil and do stuff (I'm quite glad that that version didn't get through, truth be told). That's where you got the art with attacking lobotomites and renegade BoS paladin charging for the rescue. This idea was later supposed to be re-used as a special encounter as the base of the Master's army remnants.
The crazy part is how LITTLE bloddy mess trait with Spanish have effect on game. I literally skipped so potentially many content for +1 agility trait and got so full fledged playthrough . So i just sneaked through spanish city robbed and literaly did nothing killed no one understood nothing left and never came back. They just lose to the brotherhood even if you do nothing to them. P.S sorry for my english
It would've been totally badass to see the player character loot an AN/M2 aircraft machine gun from one of the B-25 Mitchells and fashion an M2 'Stinger' out of it. It even has a high rate of fire. Not like a minigun, but hey we can't all be superstars it's the 1940s.
Not gonna lie, watched a few of your videos and they're giving me Civvie (and to a related but lesser extent, Ross) vibes, what with the snarkommentary and tangents about stuff slightly related to the games, but a different take on that style. Also not gonna lie, I wholeheartedly accept this channel into my life and it needs more non-Fallout viewers.
The "Terrier" Missiles are actually ASROC launchers, anti submarine Missiles, also the Gearing class didn't carry two, just one in the center. But hey it's just a video game, just a little bit of autism over Cold-War miltary stuff. Same goes with the funky Fallout 1-2 AK. Could be a later model with the same class name as well.
Всегда приятно увидеть качественный контент на английском от русских (но это не точно). Спасибо за видео, именно ради такого контента и стоит учить иностранные языки Its always a pleasure to see a quality content from russians(i suppose) on english-speaking part of the RU-vid. Thanks for the video, content like that is a good reason to learn foregin languages.
Are those custom talking heads? I've never played the older games through so none of these look familiar to me, but if they are custom, goddamn them's some dedicated gopniks Edit: I watched further, my assessment of dedicated gopniks was correct
I was hearing Tucson all the time. So I was waiting when he will visit Tucson. It was actually Two Sun which is based on Tucson. So, I guess I did hear it right 😂.
13:22 - Yeah, you need Better Crits to one-shot most other critters other than rats. For some reason, the rat crit table has lower instakill thresholds. I've seen some mods fix it but hey, feels nice crushing those heads like a paper bag.
45:34 In my playthrough I had two permanent human companions (well, Barkley was permanent until he was ordered to shoot me, but still). I did play a very charismatic character though (10, as long as I kept my shades on).
As a mexican from the state of Sonora i totally like this, if bethesda make one game on sonora atleast put in on Hermosillo or Nogales so i can kill some rad-alacrans and some mutant-tarantulas Edit: also eating tacos of carne asada but with 2 rads lol
@@Callaxes No actually, just Mexico. It goes back to the 1462 Say Cringe Things About The Other Country agreement between Australia and Mexico. Some time in the 1600s (Not too sure about the date sorry), Mexico pulled out of the agreement due to The Incident but Australia is still forced to hold itself to the agreement due to international courts.
