Awesome thanks for reviewing my submission! Loving the series so far. since we cant naturally transition into a ghoul already i opted to throw it into the ghoulish perk. With FO76 adding playable ghouls soon I'm excited to see what the transition will look like. Keep up the great content!
Playing as one of the control vaults pushing out into the wasteland or as the descendants from a crazy vault experiment with powers trying to find unravel the mystery of it sounds cool.
My preferred one among them is Scott's idea of the player being an overseer, quite unprecedented for us to start on top instead of having to slave away, it almost plays out like a faction management game, like... Rimworld or something, I like that set up. A thought I had about it, which I wanted to share, was in reaction to the concept of "taming the wasteland", in my mind I reacted with this immediate knee-jerk thought: "you cannot tame the wasteland, that's naive. Things are more complicated than that, you're not alone out there, the problems haven't gone away" and hey, you know what? Maybe that could play a role in the story, as a narrative development. Maybe a key point could be a substantial raider group showing up when things are going alright, and setting everything on fire (figuratively and literally), to kind of throw a bucket of cold water at the idea that civilization can be simply willed back into this darkened, wild chaos that has emerged from humanity's worst flaws. Then the story could progress from there, from that challenge that is presented to the player, they wanted to rebuild civilization in the wasteland, parts of it said "no", so how do they want to proceed from here on out? What direction are they taking their group? Are they still building a town to be part of a new civilization anyways? Maybe a fort to endure the storm of countless raids? Going back underground and closing the door, because fuck all this? Maybe they could even give up and send people away to try their luck on their own.
