The best thing about Fallout is they can do whatever plot they want. As long as the world and lore are obeyed, you can make your own characters and stories. This can be a big win if they show respect.

Retro futurism is my favorite style ever. Simon Stalenhag is a great example. Fallout always had it in spades it’s why I love it so much.

I'd seriously watch a playthrough series of Eric playing through Fallout: New Vegas. He would enjoy it so much.

Two creatures I really want to see in this are the Deathclaw and Mirelurk Queen. I also want to see what they do with new disgusting vault experiments.

I'm utterly convinced the Nolan brothers plotted this out ahead of time. First Christopher Nolan makes a movie about the creation of the nuclear bomb. Second, Jonathan Nolan makes a satirical action series about the aftermath of a nuclear holocaust...

I think a lot of people don’t know that Jonathan Nolan co-wrote some of Christopher Nolan’s best films (arguably). I have faith in him in telling a great story in the Fallout universe!

They really nailed the looks of from the games, hopefully the story and writing is good

The short intro to Fallout 4 does the best job of explaining the world because your character's playthrough starts from right before the bombs fall. It looks like they're incorporating that tactic with Walton Goggins' character and his flashbacks.

Basically after WWII our universe followed the 'microchip' tech tree, developing computing and connectivity, making everything smaller, faster, more powerful. Whereas the Fallout universe chose the 'nuclear' tech tree. So everywhere we'd have a microchip or electronics, they have a small nuclear reactor, cars, tv's, computers. With expected results re: 2:26, death, destruction, mutation etc. One company, VaultTec, decided to capitalise on peoples fears to build massive underground shelters to save humanity from a potential apocalypse. And when they locked them in, suddenly they've got a series of control groups, so... it's very rare there's a Vault without some sort of horrific social experiment attached. It gets very dark very quickly.

Each game is both a different time and place after the bombs fall (Oct 23, 2077): Fallout 76: West Virginia area, 2102 Fallout 1 & 2 - California/Nevada, 2161/2241 Fallout 3 - Washington DC area, 2277 Fallout: New Vegas: Vegas area, 2281 Fallout 4: Boston area, 2287

Ya'll's reacting to the show would be pretty cool. It's an awesome game series oozing with style and personality. Has a blend of retro-futuristic, art deco, 50's/60's pulp-fiction designs and culture but also has a sense of dark humor.

Holy cow did you guys not realize that Walton Goggins plays the voice of Cecil in Invincible?? Also his best work that made me respect him was in Hateful Eight by Tarantino.

Seeing Ella Purnell as a lead character again in a new show makes me wish you guys react to *Yellowjackets* It's a really nice show about soccer girls, camaraderie, and friendship. No cults, murder, and cannibalism at all.

As I’ve been playing Fallout 4 and Fallout New Vegas a lot recently, this looks so cool visually. Im excited for the series!

It’s good to see Michael Emerson back in another Jonathan Nolan series after his amazing performance in Person of Interest.

The thing I already love about this show is that yes there is visual effects usage, but a lot of this looks practical in nature with CGI making it look even better. That's how a film like The Creator was done. They shot on location and then did everything else after. I think this show looks like it did some similar stuff and the production design so far is top notch. Coming from the brother of Christopher Nolan I'd expect nothing less.

The world of Fallout stopped culturally (design, style, music and such) in the 1950's, but post WW2, they went all-in on nuclear energy, which led to some crazy technological advancements, much quicker than in the real world. The bombs fell in 2077, so they had about 125 years worth of crazy advancements before everything ended. The style of the world is this fun mix between the optimism and kitsch of the 50's, and some truly dark humor with lots of gore. It's what makes the Fallout setting so iconic. The series *looks* really good, and looks like they didn't forget the humor. I really hope it will be good.

I have played Fallouts 1, 2, 3, 4, New Vegas, 76, and Tactics, and I can't wait for this show.

Jonathan Nolan hasn't disappointed yet as a creative mind in a tv series. This series is going to be good.

The main thing about the fallout universe is that it deviates around the 50s and transistors were never invented so their tech advanced but is different. Their history is also different past the 50s, and the atomic age aesthetic stuck around in this timeline

Eric if you love Michael Emerson have you watched Person of Interest? He's great in it .

This trailer is incredible, I like many of the actors involved, I can't wait to see the series and of course see you guys react to it. I already know that Eric will love the CX404 (the dog's name).

gosh cant believe im seeing a vault dweller suit , a yao guai , a ghoul , a radroch , a power armor, the prydwen and the vertibird in live action. but back to the prydwen considering it was destroyed in one of the endings does that its rebuilt or is it a flashback

Not even the biggest Fallout fan but this looks solid as hell, definitely checking it out.

Off the bat this looks 1,000 times better then the Halo game to series adaption. I'm happy with how many details there were from the game. Some things like Pipboy, Nuka Cola, Deathclaws....etc are not in the trailer. But I'm sure they are in the series. Gotta save some eye candy/easter eggs for watching the series. I'm looking forward to this. I wasn't sure when I heard they were going to make it, after Halos flop. Looks good though. To be fair I kinda liked Halo, was it amazing? No.

Something that was cool is that right in my neighborhood they turned an old closed ShopRite into a Super Duper Mart and littered the parking lot with rusted and destroyed cars to shoot there for a little while! Can’t wait for the show to drop and pull a soyjack at my screen when it pops up

Walton Goggins is the voice of Cecil on invincible and sunny burch on antman and the wasp. By far his greatest role is Boyd Crowder in Justified playing opposite of Timothy Olyphant. He is an amazing actor

So far: Radroach, Yao Guai and what looks like a Mirelurk! This looks faithful and very promising!

They used all kinds of energy in fallout lore (fossil fuels which the resource war b/w the US and China is about, there's helios one in FNV that's solar, obliviously the hoover dam which is hydro), the one most discussed is, yes, nuclear energy. More specifically nuclear fusion energy. Currently, we don't have the same amount of progress on fusion as we do fission, but recently we have made some breakthroughs on nuclear fusion energy. But whats great about the games especially the OG ones is the tackling of overconsumption via consumerism, increase in American nationalism (real reality rn), american exceptionalism, and anti-capitalism themes as this America reaches the end stages of capitalism and broaches into fascism, the play on how everyone romanticizes the 50s as such a great time, and over-reliance on fossil fuels that leads to the downfall because really only the rich can afford the nice stuff. And then of course vaults, everyone knows about those and their history. The games play on all of these with sardonic and ironic humor as well as some grounded grittiness. The story definitely plays on the 2nd outcome of Derek Parfit's Reasons and Persons, but there is so much rich lore for the games. It's amazing. The first game came out in 1997, they were very inspired by the Wasteland game.

We’re our timeline and fallout time splits is during the 50’s or 60’s but they essentially never invented the microchip so computers and machines have vacuum tubes

I'd love to see more Yao Guai, Caesar's Legion & the NCR Rangers in a future season. The Power Armor looks so good. AND P R A C T I C A L!

My favorite scene in the trailer was the girl with the fork sticking out of her eye as she sprays shots wildly. I have been there so many times in a Fallout game that I can sympathize, lol.

Given how inconsistent, varied, and different a Fallout storyline can be from itself, I wonder how they'll handle this.

EVIL was such a good show!!! Worth reacting to.. loved the 2nd season.. especially the episodes at the monk temple where they had to stay silent and creepy haunted elevator.. good stuff...creative on how every case was weighed on through psychological vs reality vs spirituality..

Like Eric, never played this game, but the vibe and visuals are outstanding on this trailer. Now, since they seems to be able to get the visuals right on this, I would LOVE to see someone take on the Bioshock series.

A vault dweller can be fat if their vault experiment situation made that more likely, or if they were assigned a desk job, or a role like Historian, where their situation allows them to be sedentary and well fed,

It would be cool for those who did not play the games to do lets-play for Fallout 3 and Fallout 4 and maybe Fallout 76 -- if you can get to them before the show!

Guys you should watch the Fallout show

Honestly going to be interesting to see your reactions to the show since some of you aren't familiar with the Fallout games. Hope the show is good and so far, the trailer is hyping us Fallout fans up!

This is the Oppenheimer sequel.

I did not play the Fallout games, but the fact that Jonathan Nolan is working behind the scenes on this show makes me more excited to watch it than I am about Halo season 2. I'll probably enjoy it more than Halo simply because I'll be unable to tell when they're deviating from the games.

Walton kinda already played a Ghoul in Maze Runner. But tbh that Ghoul looks more like a fallout ghoul than what he looks like in this show.

In the fallout universe transistors never became popular and vacuum tubes are still being used. This is why computers and other electronic devices are big and bulky like they were in the 40s 50s, so it's set in the future but still looks retro.

I played 1 and 2 then lost interest in the game when it changed to 3d, but I'm looking forward to this show. Fallout always was something I was interested in, kind of a Mad Max resident evil type universe. Half life of uranium 235 is 700,000,000 years not 500
