Highest recorded water level since records began in October 1990, measuring 2.816m at 11am on 30 Dec 2015. Video was taken around 2-3pm that day. Previous highest level was 2.78m in 1997. Measurement is taken from Craignavie Road, opposite the Curling Pond.
The Falls of Dochart are a cascade of waterfalls situated on the River Dochart at Killin in Stirling (formally in Perthshire), Scotland, near the western end of Loch Tay. The Bridge of Dochart, first constructed in 1760, crosses the river at Killin offering a view of the falls as they cascade over the rocks and around the island of Inchbuie, which is the ancient burial place of the MacNab clan.

Wow ! I visited Killin last week when on holiday in the area with my family. Falls were nice and gentle then. A truly beautiful place. Will definitely return next time we're in the area.

Just seen this remarkable video. Stayed there many times visiting from Yorkshire but only ever seen the falls tumbling gently over the rocks. Amazing.

Nice place to live although I imagine you must have to accept the sound of rushing water constantly. Only been once, in 2015. I was sick of my job so I went and got a new Abarth 595 and gave the job up to go exploring Scotland with my girlfriend. I had a 4x4 before that but the Abarth coped well enough with the winter roads. Happy days.

I've lived within 500 yards of the Falls for 40 years Andrew and while that isn't as many inches as yours, its always been Perthshire for our addresses and deeds. We were in Perthshire until 1975 when the Local Government (Scotland) 1975 split us from the Tayside region - we were included in the Stirling District of Central Region. This changed again in 1996 when we moved to Stirling Council. Perthshire still exists today as a registration county - hence why we locals use it for our addresses, deeds etc. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stirlingshire en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perthshire We're now in the Stirling Council authority area, with a Falkirk postcode. We have never been in Stirlingshire. Maybe if I had said Breadalbane that might put your mind at ease.

Walking, Hiking and camping used to be free in Scotland as passed by the Scottish Parliament until they licenced Loch Lomond and Trossachs Park to charge people for camping in the area they control thus taxing the people of Scotland for the Freedom to Roam, the area they control get's bigger every year. Time it was stopped and give us our right to roam back. Freedom for Indigenous Scots.
