rob love I will pray for you and pray for me as well, I find it hard to offend people but if we love them as we should we need to do the hard thing and talk to them about Jesus. Jesus is our strength brother.
I know this was six months ago, but I have a method you could start off with when trying to tell people about Jesus, and you don't have to do any talking. So basically, just write down some bible verses on a sticky note and tape them on sides of buildings, or around your neighborhood. It is a great way to slowly start getting comfortable spreading the word of God. I am doing this myself. I am an introvert, so it is sometimes hard for me to get the confidence to talk to people about God. I hope this helps :)
My son feels he is saved by his baptism when he was 12 and is living with his girlfriend now. I pray every day that God opens his eyes for true repentance.

Been praying hard for my brother who've been blinded with that doctrine. Water baptism is an outward expression that you've been "spiritually" born again. When you cry to the Lord for forgiveness not only because you've sinned, not only because you don't wanna go to hell but asking for forgiveness for the breaking the heart of the One who loves you more than anything. Ray, I think the issue with this guy was not that he didn't take sin seriously but that he thought his asking of forgiveness and being a better person is what saved him, rather than purely the sacrifice of Christ. Did he leave the conversation thinking he simply wasn't reading his Bible enough?
I think it because he didn't know how he knows there is an after life, when he was asked if it was a good person he said yes and he was hesitant answering simple questions!
@@RDCFemmes However, when Ray asked him, "What can you do so you don't go to hell?" He responded with "Ask for forgiveness and try to be a better good person." -- that shows his real issue, works righteousness.

I think the tests may have been wrong and she needs a second opinion. Some of the things she does to herself make me cry. We need all the help and prayers we can get.
We need to be reminded of God's goodness and holiness, and the magnitude of our sin: to seek to do that which is right in Him, rather than bring Him shame. Jesus is what's best: seek Him!
He said my Lord and savior Jesus Christ, he was saved already when Ray approached him. If you confess Jesus as Lord and believe in you heart God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved .
There are many people who proclaim the name of Christ yet aren't saved. Christ warns of this false assurance,so does other area of scripture. So produce fruit that is consistent with repentance [demonstrating new behavior that proves a change of heart, and a conscious decision to turn away from sin]; Matthew 3:8 “Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Keeping the commandments seems to be essential for those who live in heaven. Some seem to think all we need to do is ask for forgiveness and we are saved. I believe in righteousness by faith, but doesn't that mean that God saved us from sin now?

We are all sinners because society teaches us to. That's why jesus said "father forgive them as they know not what they do". Jesus died on the cross for our sins. Hey Ray and all my brothers and sisters. I’ve been really struggling with assurance of salvation and I really need help. I believe Jesus is the son of God that died on the cross to pay for my sins in full. I believe he rose again, and I believe he is the only one that can save me. I’ve called on him to save me and forgive me but I don’t know if he has, Ive turned from my sins and I don’t have any desire to go back to them such as pornography, swearing, hatred, lying etc. I still struggle with sin but I don’t want to sin. I’m really worried because I know that if Jesus doesn’t save me I will go to hell. Like I said I’ve called upon Jesus to save me and it says in Romans 10:13 that whoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved. So does this mean that I’m saved or something else. I’m really confused about what it means to believe and trust in Jesus as my saviour could anyone please explain because I cant take this confusion anymore. Thank you so much any reply would be appreciated God bless
From reading this it sounds like you are. If you have confessed that you have sinned, repented and trust in Christ as lord and saviour you're saved. You may sin as a Christian but u won't love your sin, you would quickly confess with genuine sorrow and repent . And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. Philippians 1:6

@@alikassouh844 Trusting Christ as your Savior is believing His word & everything that has been done so we don't go to hell. The devil is all about mind games, believe Jesus's word over his. Whenever I have a doubt I fight back by believing scripture eg. When I start to worry a verse like " Do no worry about your life..." I believe that over what is making me doubtful. When the Lord says you're saved or His & you're within a category of the verse believe Him because he said so & cannot lie.
The same way you'd do so with anyone else, like Ray does here, love being the first step, start a conversation, see where they are spiritually (if they believe in God, heaven, where do they think they're going after they die), show then that they are sinners and cant save themselves but that they need Jesus alone.
I have a lot of respect for Ray, but I don't think he's right to label this kid a "false convert" before this meeting. The kid said that he was trusting in Christ for his reason for getting into heaven. That is the ONLY thing that matters. Anything beyond that is works....our works will be counted at judgment day for the rewards we are to receive or not receive in the Kingdom. However, there will be many who enter in without many works....one being the thief on the cross. 1 Cor 3 addresses those that are in the Kingdom but suffer great loss of reward. Are we only saved if we read our Bible everyday? If we faithfully omit sin from our lives? No, we are saved by the blood of Jesus alone. If you couldn't get saved by simply asking for salvation, then the thief on the cross story would not be in the Bible, as well as the stories in Acts where thousands of people were saved each day.
Helpful points there Ryan. This man's first answer sounded ok, but then when Ray asked what could he do to avoid hell, he said "Ask for forgiveness and be a better person" which indicates he wasn't trusting in the sacrifice of Christ alone to get him to heaven. Which gave it away he wasn't truly a believer. PS: It's not by "asking for salvation" but it's by trusting that Christ paid for your sins (as you rightly said earlier in your comment). :)
It is possible to still end up in hell when you claim to have trusted in the lord as your saviour, in fact Christ warns about many who will say "lord lord".. claiming to have known him but never truly showed any fruit of repentance. We are saved through faith but our fruit is the evidence of God having saved us. “Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. Matthew 7:21
@@ws7009 In John 6:40 Jesus explains what Jesus means by doing the will of my Father: "For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.” It's not about these people not being good enough, it's that they were trusting in themselves to save them, and not Christ alone. What they said in the next few verse makes this clear - “Did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?” They had done plenty of good works. It wasn’t that they hadn’t done enough good deeds, it’s that they thought their good deeds could save them, rather than simply trusting in the sacrifice of Christ paying for all their sins.
@@ws7009 To do the will of the Father in Matt. 7:21 is to believe in Christ for eternal life, not to show fruit to prove that you're saved. (John 6:40). Fruit can only be cooperating evidence that we are saved, but we do not need to have fruit in order to be saved or to have assurance that we are saved. Fruit is only a measure of our maturity and growth. If i have faith and seemingly no good works or fruit what so ever, I can still know for a fact that I am a child of God because my salvation has nothing to do with my obedience or good works. My assurance comes 100% from the promise of God that IF I have faith in Christ alone who paid the penalty for my sin then I have eternal life. because God always keeps his promises no matter how much I decide to obey or disobey him. I believe the Bible teaches of false converts, they do exist. But its never because they dont show fruit from their claim to have faith. They're false converts because they don't understand the Gospel and believe in Christ alone for their salvation.
And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
This is the gospel; the point of the commandment is to show us where we have erred. Where there is no law, sin has no power. When Adam (1st man) sinned, every man after him was born and shaped in iniquity because it is natural for us to disobey God. So God could not allow us to live in that state and so He drove man from the garden because he (man) had access to eat of the tree of life, and if he did we all would be living in our sin for all eternity but God is loving, kind, merciful, patient, compassionate, forgiving and long-suffering because He doesn't want us to live in that state, separated from Him, as our sin does that. He is holy. So He (God) sent His word (only Son) that became flesh, who lived for us and kept God's word and commandment because our sinful selves could not keep it. He died on a cross willingly for our sins because our sin required a blood sacrifice. He was buried and God resurrected His body to give us the new life by the Spirit of Christ. Now all we have to do is to repent of our sin towards God, believe on the work of Jesus and trust (use faith) in Him and obey His word, which is to deny ourselves, take up our cross daily and follow Him (in baptism, talk and walk, not works). We are to now love God through His Spirit with our whole heart, mind, body and strength and love our neighbour (fellow men) as we love our selves. We cannot earn salvation by any means it is the free gift (grace) of God as we believe on His only begotten Son, Jesus the Christ. So now in Christ we are free to worship the Father in Spirit and in truth, because the Son has set us free from the law of sin and death by faith in Him, not works. We are now a new creation (born again) as we put on the righteousness of God which is in Christ Jesus daily. We are no longer slaves to sin and death when we put our faith in Jesus because He is the victory for our new life in God, for us to become children of God. When we accept this simple truth by faith we now have a new life forever in Him.
I wonder if someone like this would answer the questions the same if they didn't have a Mic and camera pointed at them, and if the conversation was more open, rather than one questioner and one answerer. I think both those elements may effect the conversation. I am a Christian, born again, but I wonder how I would come across in a format like this. It would be easy to become defensive, the one sided question-answer is almost like being pulled over by a police officer.
Coming face to face with our sins is if not worse feels like being pulled over by a police. I don't care how much love you show, sin-talk is uncomfortable.
God doesn’t judge you on all the bad things you did throughout your life. Once you repent you start like a clean sheet with God. The devil knows your name but calls you by your sins. Jesus knows your sins but chooses to call you by your name.
@1:17 Ray is saying that this man is not loving God with all his heart mind soul and strength (which we are supposed to do). The irony is, neither is Ray nor anyone alive right now. You can't. That's the point. Your salvation isn't contingent on loving God with all your heart soul and strength, it is contingent on your faith in Christ which will produce good works. We need to stop getting things reversed here, theology matters.
I've noticed that I've gone from loving God and so thankful that I am saved to being afraid I'm going to hell because I sin, even though I know we'll always sin. I don't want to sin and ask for forgiveness and then I panic thinking I'm going to go to hell because I messed up. That has now become the focus instead of Christ. I should love God and want to please Him because I love Him and not do these things because I'm afraid I'll lose my salvation and go to hell.

Im sorry Ray, i truly believe you have a zeal for truth and scripture but you preach a works based Gospel.
@@austinbrown2283 To require anything in addition to faith in Christ alone for salvation is a works based Gospel. are over 200 verses that state faith alone as the sole condition of salvation. Baptism is the first step that every believer should take after being born again. but it is a righteous work that we do in obedience to God. To add our righteous work to the gospel is to say the Jesus' death and resurrection were not sufficient enough for our salvation. Jesus' death and resurrection alone paid our debt in FULL. Acts 16:31. john 3:16. Galatians 2:16. Eph. 2:8-9. Romans 4:5 Romans 11:6. These verses may seem to indicate that it is faith plus baptism but scripture makes it clear that we cannot earn our way to heaven by works so we know that have to have a different interpretation. Mark 16:16 says, “Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who does not believe will be punished.” Notice the sentence he concludes this verse with. But anyone who does not BELIEVE will be condemned. Because the basis of condemnation is not unbelief plus those who are not baptized, but ONLY unbelief. Acts 2:38 says, “Peter replied, “All of you must turn away from your sins and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then your sins will be forgiven. You will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”” idk what translation you're using but this verse does not say "all of you turn away from your sins" it says "Repent" this word means "change you mind". its a synonym for Faith. Change your mind about who Christ is. baptism is just a way to make your decision public. Acts 22:16 says, “So what are you waiting for? Get up and call on his name. Be baptized. Have your sins washed away.” Paul is talking about baptism being a condition to have fellowship with God NOT to have salvation for eternal life. Romans 6:3-5 says, “All of us were baptized into Christ Jesus. Don’t you know that we were baptized into his death? By being baptized, we were buried with Christ into his death. Christ has been raised from the dead by the Father’s glory. And like Christ we also can live a new life. By being baptized, we have been joined with him in a death like his. So we will certainly also be joined with him in a resurrection like his.” This is a reference to Spirit baptism NOT water baptism. Galatians 3:27 says, “This is because all of you who were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. You have put him on as if he were your clothes.” The verse right before this, verse 26, completely refutes your point about needing to have been baptized to have eternal life. and second. this verse is talking about spirit baptism NOT water baptism. its talking about Having the Spirit because of our union with christ that only comes through faith alone. Colossians 2:12 says, “When you were baptized, you were buried together with Christ. And you were raised to life together with him when you were baptized. You were raised to life by believing in God’s work. God himself raised Jesus from the dead.” Once again this is talking about spirit meaning by FAITH alone in Christ for eternal life each believer is identified as having undergone the same burial and resurrection as that of Christ. this is the PICTURE conveyed by water baptism. water baptism is simply the outward symbol of what has already happened to this person inside. no good work adds, proves, and brings salvation. 1 Peter 3:21 says, “The water of the flood is a picture. It is a picture of the baptism that now saves you too. This baptism has nothing to do with removing dirt from your body. Instead, it promises God that you will keep a clear sense of right and wrong. This baptism saves you by the same power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead.” Peter is clarifying in this verse that water baptism is in fact not what saves you. Peter was talking about the first century of generation jews who were converting to christianity. Hes saying that it saves them from the temporal judgment of titus's attack on Judah. Does Jesus save every person on earth in the same way? or are there special cases? I believe that the Gospel has always been the same for every human on earth. Faith in Christ's work on the cross alone. How do you explain the thief on the cross? Did Jesus just make a special pardon for him only with faith and not baptism? If baptism is necessary for salvation then why would paul say "I am thankful I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius" (1 Cor. 1:14 )Why would he have also said For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the Gospel - no with words of human wisdom but lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power. (1 cor. 1:17). He would be saying I am thankful that you were not saved..... or that Christ did not send him to save..... which would be ridiculous for paul to say something like that! If baptism is necessary for salvation how could any presentation of the Gospel lack a mention of it. yet that is the entire book of John. Baptism is an important step of obedience AFTER salvation but not a requirement for it.
@@austinbrown2283 As with any single verse or passage, we discern what it teaches through careful consideration of the language and context of the verse. We also filter it through what we know the Bible teaches elsewhere on the subject. In the case of baptism and salvation, the Bible is clear that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, not by works of any kind, including baptism (Ephesians 2:8-9). So, any interpretation which comes to the conclusion that baptism, or any other act, is necessary for salvation is a faulty interpretation. In order to make this verse teach that baptism is required for salvation, one must go beyond what the verse actually says. What this verse does teach is that belief is necessary for salvation, which is consistent with the countless verses where only belief is mentioned (e.g., John 3:18; John 5:24; John 12:44; John 20:31; 1 John 5:13). “He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned” (Mark 16:16). This verse is composed of two basic statements. 1-He who believes and is baptized will be saved. 2-He who does not believe will be condemned. While this verse tells us something about believers who have been baptized (they are saved), it does not say anything about believers who have not been baptized. In order for this verse to teach that baptism is necessary for salvation, a third statement would be necessary, viz., “He who believes and is not baptized will be condemned” or “He who is not baptized will be condemned.” But, of course, neither of these statements is found in the verse. Those who try to use Mark 16:16 to teach that baptism is necessary for salvation commit a common but serious mistake that is sometimes called the Negative Inference Fallacy. This is the rule to follow: “If a statement is true, we cannot assume that all negations (or opposites) of that statement are also true." For example, the statement “a dog with brown spots is an animal” is true; however, the negative, “if a dog does not have brown spots, it is not an animal” is false. In the same way, “he who believes and is baptized will be saved” is true; however, the statement “he who believes but is not baptized will not be saved” is an unwarranted assumption. Yet this is exactly the assumption made by those who support baptismal regeneration. Consider this example: "Whoever believes and lives in Kansas will be saved, but those that do not believe are condemned." This statement is strictly true; Kansans who believe in Jesus will be saved. However, to say that only those believers who live in Kansas are saved is an illogical and false assumption. The statement does not say a believer must live in Kansas in order to go to heaven. Similarly, Mark 16:16 does not say a believer must be baptized. The verse states a fact about baptized believers (they will be saved), but it says exactly nothing about believers who have not been baptized. There may be believers who do not dwell in Kansas, yet they are still saved; and there may be believers who have not been baptized, yet they, too, are still saved. The one specific condition required for salvation is stated in the second part of Mark 16:16: “Whoever does not believe will be condemned.” In essence, Jesus has given both the positive condition of belief (whoever believes will be saved) and the negative condition of unbelief (whoever does not believe will be condemned). Therefore, we can say with absolute certainty that belief is the requirement for salvation. More importantly, we see this condition restated positively and negatively throughout Scripture (John 3:16; John 3:18; John 3:36; John 5:24; John 6:53-54; John 8:24; Acts 16:31). Jesus mentions a condition related to salvation (baptism) in Mark 16:16. But a related condition should not be confused with a requirement. For example, having a fever is related to being ill, but a fever is not required for illness to be present. Nowhere in the Bible do we find a statement such as “whoever is not baptized will be condemned.” Therefore, we cannot say that baptism is necessary for salvation based on Mark 16:16 or any other verse. Does Mark 16:16 teach that baptism is necessary for salvation? No, it does not. It clearly establishes that belief is required for salvation, but it does not prove or disprove the idea of baptism being a requirement. How can we know, then, if one must be baptized in order to be saved? We must look to the full counsel of God’s Word. (credit:: gotquestions.com)
No I do not. The reason being is that in Acts 2:38 when Peter used the word, “for,” in Greek he used the word, “eis,” which can mean “because of”. Also in mark 16:16 at the latter part of that verse the author says that you are condemned for not believing. The author does not say you are condemned for not getting baptized, rather for not believing. If peter was saying that you have to be baptized to be saved, then why in 1 Peter 3:21 does he say we are saved by water baptism, which he makes clear by referring to the removal of dirt from the body. The Gospel is what saves not water baptism.
Exactly, that 1Peter 3:21 says that it’s a picture-as in baptism is a picture of your washed away sins to the world, by repenting and trusting the savior the Lord Jesus Christ. We must not use one verse to build a whole ideology around it especially since there are many others that say we are saved by grace through faith. When Jesus said, “it is finished.” Do you really believe that or is it finished but really it’s not because baptism saves you? Friend, this is dangerous waters believing that baptism saves you as well as Christ. It is ONLY Christ who saves you, not works. You are putting baptism over our Lord Jesus Christ power to save. There are many verses that are say faith is what saves. It’s His grace that is enough. Not Grace plus baptism. If baptism saves, then Christ sacrifice was not enough because it is a work. But since baptism does not save, and is an obedient act to the Lord AFTER we are saved by grace through faith, we are justified by Christ blood. Jesus Christ Himself even says in Acts 26:18, “so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are SANCTIFIED BY FAITH.” Please friend do not put baptism over Christ blood. It by Grace through faith that you have been saved, not by own works so that no man shall boast. We must not boast in people’s worldly efforts such as baptism. This water baptism is a work and if it is truly finished like The LORD JESUS CHRIST said, then there is no possible way that baptism saves us. Besides if we look at context, and scripture as a whole, it is by grace through faith we have been saved. If baptism saved the. Why would Jesus die on that cross. If worldly effort such as baptism saves then why would Jesus suffer for the sins of the world? I would like to ask this question. Is Jesus enough in your life? If so then baptism does not save because you would be trusting in baptism not in Christ fully. Please thinks about this, it is Christ plus nothing that saves. Not Christ plus baptism that’s saves, or else you are putting baptism on the same level of the God who created it.
I feel as though you have the wrong interpretation of Acts 2:38. Again we must not take a verse and build a whole ideology around it. The KJV version of this verse says, “ Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” When Peter uses the word for in greek he used , “eis,” which can mean “because of.” Please let these words sink in. We are baptized in way by the Holy Spirit when we Repent and Believe. In other words we are immersed in Christ forgiving blood and filled with the spirit when we repent and call on the name of Jesus Christ. But on the thought of water baptism saving us is trusting in the works of a human. Not the works of Christ. Please look at scripture as a whole, and be freed from the bondage of thinking that a work saves you.
@@austinbrown2283 here is a Greek version of Acts 2:38, "Pevtro deV pro aujtouV metanohvsate, fhsivn, kaiV baptisqhvtw e{kasto uJmw'n ejpiV tw'/ ojnovmati jIhsou' Cristou' ei a[fesin tw'n aJmartiw'n uJmw'n." this translates into, "And Peter said to them, “Repent, and be baptized-each one of you-at the name of Jesus Christ because of/for/unto the forgiveness of your sins." Notice that a salvation by grace would be violated if a causal eij” was not evident in such passages as Acts 2:38 and your point would be very evident, but it is still there in the Greek version. Christ sacrificial blood is enough. Apart from all this, what made you ask this question in the first place?
Focused way too much on this dudes behavior . We are all depraved sinners and the only way to salvation is to be born again and to trust and fully digest JESUS's completed work on the cross ( which is the real meaning of repentence). Its always good news !!! Isaiah 53:6 PTL!!!
@@howardbryant817 hi howard ! Being born again means to fully and completely trust and rely on JESUS alone for your salvation. The holy spirit will enter and penetrate your soul and you will begin to change. Everything will change ! The way u appreciate life, the way u feel and intepret things. Its a supernatural experience that cant fully be explained just experienced the moment u fully trust and believe in ur heart what JESUS accomplished in the cross for me and u ! Look at it this way : think of urself as a 5 year old little kid looking up at his mother and taking her hand to cross the busiest highway with 5 lanes of traffic buzzing both ways. I don't know that Ray's argument is entirely Biblical. Romans 10:11-13 make it clear that "Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame" and that "everyone who calls on the name of the lord will be saved" and before this in Romans 7 Paul himself says that he does what he doesn't want to do and he fails to do what he wants to do all because of his flesh. So Paul himself, who wrote a third of the New Testament was unable to stop sinning. If the standard of salvation is no more sin at all then no one is saved and it would be salvation by works. And yet Also in Romans 6:23 "The wages of sin is death but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord". And what's worse, I don't see Ray actually offering this man a solution. What's he going to do? Reaffirm what he's already affirmed, that he believes in Jesus Christ as his Lord and savior? How does that change his "false conversion"? Is Ray also saying that if one doesn't read the Bible more often than one eats then one is not a Christian? Again, that's the false doctrine of salvation by works. And would he then condemn early Christians to whom the Word of God would have been difficult to access, OR wasn't even finished yet for churches in Acts? This is absurd. To take his logic to it's final conclusion, if you do anything more than read God's word then you are putting that above God. So I must read it more than I breath? It's absurd logic. Ray is correct that the Bible, in many places and in different ways tells us to stop sinning. Jesus even tells the crowds that followed him "be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect" all while knowing full well that none of them could be or do that. And again I agree with Ray, that the reason is that we would come to know the awefulness of sin. But remember the parable of the priest and tax collector in Luke 18. The priest praised himself in his prayer, while the tax collector simple said "lord have mercy on me, a sinner", and Jesus said that the tax collector was justified in His eyes. It's about repentance. I'm not sure what Ray is getting on about or how he would "fix" this "false conversion" but to anyone who stumbles across this and bothers to read it, I'd like to encourage you that salvation is by grace alone, you cannot earn you it, you can only accept it by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, as it says in Romans 10:9 "if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved". But if you believe something, you act accordingly. If you believe Jesus is your Lord, and that He wants you stop sinning, but you know that you can't actually stop sinning what do you do? The remedy is daily repentance. Unfortunately the church, and Ray teach repentance as a "once and done" event but the Bible makes it clear that this is a continuous process that you participate in as you walk out your faith. In Luke 9:23 Jesus summarized this nicely when He said "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me". DAILY. That is the Christian walk, daily repentance before Christ. No, that's not salvation by works, you aren't earning your salvation, you acting in accordance with to your faith. BECAUSE you are saved by faith in the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ you chose to daily take up your cross (repentance) and follow Him. In 1st John 1:8-10 we are told "If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us." We see here that if we confess our sin He is just in forgiving us. Thus, when you come to know the Lord Jesus Christ as your savior, continuous repentance of sin should be the norm. And again James 5:16 tells us to "confess our sin to one another". And remember, Paul, James, and John are writing to Christians! They are telling Jesus professing Christians to repent, and confess their sins, because your flesh is still going to get the better of you. The fruit of salvation is that over time you are sanctified and become more like Christ and less sinful. But this sinning won't stop until your dead unfortunately. Only in the next life are we completely free of sin.

If you're Born again then you have Christ's NATURE IN you! But that's the start.....he she has to RECEIVE God the holy ghost the evidence of SPEAKING IN TONGUES- THE holy ghost is the POWER to Change US inside our spirit for it's where ALL permanent change takes place! I know this person is a Christian before Ray meet him because he believed in Jesus Christ. Ray Comfort doesn’t have the right to check and declare whether people are saved or not. He acts like he is Holy and so much better than them. Come on! Just because someone doesn’t read their bible doesn’t mean that they are not saved.
Just because someone doesn’t read their bible every day doesn’t mean that they are not Christians. I don’t know why Ray Comfort always jumps to conclusions like that. I’ve already watched that video.
It is possible to believe in a god or a version of Jesus that a person has made up. Such as person will claim "I believe in God" or "I believe in Jesus." Even if a person believes in the One true living God that doesn't mean they are born again. The devils also believe in the One true God but they aren't saved. An intellectual belief in God/Jesus and the Bible is not enough. It is quite possible to believe and never have received Christ by repentance and faith, and that is the sad reality of most who will profess to be a Christian. The Bible says "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." Repentance is one of the main reasons most are never really born again. Repentance is more than being sorry you got caught. More than being sorry you sinned. More than wanting to turn over a new leaf or try to be better. It is a changing of your mind about yourself and God. You see yourself a sinner who is doomed and deserving judgment and hell. You see God is holy and righteous and you are unholy and unrighteous. It means you are willing to turn from your sins, receive Jesus' atoning sacrifice and not your own good works and/or religion. It means you are willing to change your life direction and now follow Jesus as Lord. We bring nothing to the table but sin. Since we are dead in trespasses and sin we don't even know we are lost until God shows up and turns on the lights. God has to show us our true condition. He has to show us we come short of the standard. He has to show us we are in eternal jeopardy. He has to show us we have to repent and He has to help us repent. He does everything including saving (regenerating) us. All we can do is believe on Him and what He has done for us. Praise God He for what He has done for each of us. Yet most still reject Him. We don't want Jesus to reign over us. We would be willing to accept some fire insurance but will NOT yield to Him as Lord and Master and no one fools God. He looketh on the heart.
Our Only Hope, this is true. However, it isn’t Ray’s place to decide where someone is going to spend eternity just based on whether they reads their bible daily or not which is what he did. If he said he read his bible daily, then Ray would have thought he is saved. I have watched hundreds of his videos and he is the most predictable evangelist ever. Talking to him about the gospel would be like talking to a tape recorder over and over again.
Matthew 7: 21. "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?' 23. Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!' *So we should help Christians to see if they're doing the will of the Father or not...* 😕

Hello, Ray or anyone that can answer this question. I was wondering if it is bad to want to live in a mansion one day and have lots of money. I was wondering if wanting to have a big house is the committing the sin of greed even if I give lots of the money to charitable causes.
Theodore Fevoros It’s called covetousness. I think every human would like to be wealthy and not have to work and have nice things. I think that’s a human thing and not necessarily a sin. If you seek it with all your heart and it is the only thing that is important to you, is when it becomes a sin. Hope that helps. ✝️
What do you call a person who gives food to the poor? What do you call a person who choose to be faithful to his wife? What do you call a person who chooses not to steal? So what are you?
@@LivingWaters Well that seemed to be your argument. I'm very confused as to what exactly you believe a person needs to do to be saved. Thanks for the response by the way!
Ray Comfort, I love your ministry, but i have one reservation. To non-believers there is a difference in punishment between murder/rape, and speeding tickets. In each of your videos, you say the crime is murder and rape, but that Jesus paid the fine for the speeding ticket.
"It's like being in a court of law & someone pays your fine..." I've also heard him using those comparisons but if you follow him you will understand he doesn't sound like how you've articulated. Jesus pays for speed tickets if he uses that analogy... "you have a stack of speeding fines which are deadly seriously..." *This is the point: some people thinks being a liar is not a serious sin as a murder, lying is a "speed ticket" to an unbeliever. Jesus dying for a speed ticket is supposed to show us how serious the speed ticket is. Everybody knows murders & rapists are going to hell. It's little sins "speed tickets" that have been normalized that are taking us to hell.*
