Jordan Trengove's life turned upside down after sharing his partying activity on Snapchat, which led to a girl named Ellie joining him and his friends. The post changed his life forever. Ellie, whose real name was Eleanor Williams, made false allegations against Jordan, accusing him of Rape, GBH and other crimes. This led to Jordan's imprisonment, where his mental health deteriorated. Eleanor went on to accuse five more innocent men of crimes such as rape, grooming and human trafficking. Her lies were eventually exposed, and she was found guilty of perverting the course of justice. She was sentenced to eight and a half years in prison.

What ever happened to this..."It is better that ten guilty persons escape than that one innocent suffer. as expressed by the English jurist William Blackstone in his seminal work Commentaries on the Laws of England, published in the 1760s." -- When I was convicted (of an assault i never did), I suggested to my probation officer that I thought you were supposed to be innocent until proven guilty. I got told that was an "American saying". and that in the UK the police exist to "arrest and convict"!

I'm so glad she was found out to be a liar. My wife kept crying assault...once rape...resulting in me being arrested multiple times. She eventually got me convicted of an assault i never did, on a day I was on heavy pain killers due to having a cracked rib from a previous family argument. The justice system in the UK is just wrong! It doesn't work and is completely open to abuse (mostly by women, it would seam, whom everyone are afraid NOT to believe. I thought the truth would help me! Now my life is a nightmare! How do we fix this system?

Total feel your pain my friend, got convicted of an assault by my ex partner as well using a tirade of false allegations and self inflicted injuries. Was defending myself from a crazy person for years and like you thought the truth would prevail! Turns out the zealous approach from the police and the courts are there to push convictions not investigate the truth. We need more people like ourselves to push awareness of the abuse of the system out there and start to get the system to at least recognise how prevalent it is. Deepest condolences to you and wish you all the best.

Despicable that a young lads life was ruined (and he'll have a smudge on his name forever regardless of being proven innocent) due to a silly little girl.

We always believe the victim as things used to be the other way round. Maybe we should emphasise "innocent until proven guilty". Look at all the celebrities that have been accused and found innocent but damage is done.
