Similar issue happened to me. BUT they accused me of rape and kidnap and also gave the dude my number and he was harassing me 😭. IT'S ALL recorded on dashcam, Can you connect me to this guy's lawyer pls? 🙏
"So further fraudulent passenger reports like this, will cause you to be deactivated". They have concrete evidence that every single complaint were lies, yet they stand firm with their threats of unjust deactivation. Unbelievable. Good for him for suing. We should all follow his lead.
Just happened to me I drive a black lincoln limo they complained my motor was knocking and I was swaying left to right. It was a homeless family living in best Western what a bad joke! Lyft sent me down a crappy back street with numerous pot holes and man holes 4" s above the paved surface. Such nonsense. All for a lost 6 bucks!! Fuc lyft
I've sued Lyft 3 times in small claims. They didn't show up all three times. I've collected on two of the cases and am in process of collection on the third.
@@MrBirdman123 I used a lawyer that specializes in collecting. I don't know what she did.I just worked a deal out with her and let her do her thing. Every state is different. Find a lawyer who specializes in collecting in the state the case was in.
I worked for Lyft for 7 yrs 140, 000 rides with 5 stars rating. A woman reported that I assaulted her, which is the ultimate lie. They deactivated my account.
I was accused of making racists comments and that I assaulted the rider. The rider beat the hell out of my car because she wanted her 10$ back. Lyft deactivated my account permanently with in a few hours without so much as allowing me the chance to prove my innocence. Some guy named John. I just bought a dash cam. I filed a police report and I'm looking for camera footage from businesses in the area, so far I can't find any. My God I'm a 59 year old grandmother. I've never sued anyone and I could use some help.
I was deactivated from Lyft for discrimination against a man because of his orientation. I live in Palm Springs CA and went through the entire gay pride month 🗓 in Palm Springs 🌴 ☀ 🌵 🌴 and zero complaints. I had almost 1900 rides and over 300 above and beyond ratings. I was a 5 star platinum driver. I have a dashcam to dispute any claims yet they refuse to allow me to defend myself. Here is the kicker.. I am a gay man. So tell me how this makes any sense???
I, too, have never had a drop of alcohol in my life as well! The sad thing is there's absolutely no consequences for a passenger that accuses a driver for whatever, EVEN IF there's video proving otherwise. Uber/Lyft know which passenger it was that made the false allegation, but because they wanna protect the privacy of the riders, there's no way you can know for sure who it was and what they said to get you deactivated. That's some BS! For as long as these two ride share platforms have been around, you would think they would know that people will make up stuff to get out of paying a fare, and you would think they'd already have a fix for stuff like that. How about first verifying if the allegation is even true or real before placing a drivers account on HOLD or whatever?
my friend has over 10,000 trips with lyft over 8 years of work in NYC and one long job a new passenger falsely stated to lyft that he made a comment on a minor in the car, he was immediately deactived and Lyft wont listen to his side of the story.
Michael can also mail a copy of the judgment to Lyft's Legal Team. The address is on the website under Terms of Service and Privacy. I took a company to small claims in which I purchased a spa package that they refused to fulfill because they were going out of business in 1 week. I criticized them for selling me the package fully knowing that they were closing. They refused to refund, they ran me around with phone calls and many letters, but once I won my court case, I send a copy of the summary judgement to their legal team. I got an email a few days later confirming that they were issuing a check. So, Michael, send your summary judgment to Lyft's Legal Name, the legal paperwork. Doesn't matter if it's sent by the court, you send it, too, along with a letter requesting payment be fulfilled and reactivation.
This same thing happened to me...I am still currently deactivated by Lyft. The only difference is that I believe the guy that was in my car was about to rob me because he was hiding in the back of my car and I almost hit him by mistake when I put the car in reverse. It's been 8 months of trying to convince Lyft to believe me but they won't reactivate my account. I called their safety support but they couldn't care less about my safety.
I got permanently deactivated in less than 24hrs in June 2023. A rider told Lyft I threatened them with a firearm for not tipping. Only issue I had with someone was that they were vaping in my car without my permission. They also tried to say I had multiple violations which was a lie. I'm still going through a back and forth with them.
Same! You as a driver are getting ahead of them trying to report you. I call immediately after a rider is rude if the ride ends up completed. There was a rider who came to my car last weekend who started off completely rude, and he was literally going 1min up the street. He was probably frustrated that no one was taking him based on his 4.77 rating. It was literally just him and he opened my passenger door. I said, "Sir, if you don't mind, can you kindly close the door since its raining and cold outside. I'm happy to roll down the window to speak with you." He slammed the door and said, "Forge it." I'm like, "Ohhhh-kkkk." So I sat there to wait out the 5min timer, and he came back to the car wondering if I would take him. I said, "I'm happy to take you but you started off the conversation rude and in a bad mood. I don't know if its the rain or you were waiting a long time to be matched with me, but your not going far, so there is no reason to be disrespectful. But its up to you - you can choose to get in or choose to wait for me to cancel so that you're matched with another driver. And your behavior was caught on camera because everything is being audio and video recorded." He closed the door LOL! That was my answer.
Lyft currently deactivated me as of june 19 2024 for going against their safety policy. Lately i been having app technical problems its slow and frustrating
@@sergioSMTMC1 what’s your email address? It was false reports against me and unfortunately I had no dash cam. Countless tips and compliments on myself and my professionalism. 4.99 rating.

@@LyftcracksupportI got deactivated this past Tuesday with a false accusation. I know exsctly who it was and what they said about me. I have been trying to get a reply back from Lyft for the last 4 days and nothing. What can I do?
I was deactivated by Uber because my car smelled like a skunk after my wife came home from the pot farm she works at. I had accepted a ride not knowing she left it smelling and picked up a rider I let the passenger know it wasn’t me it’s a shared car and he still reported me. I have a dash cam I don’t know how to use keeps customers basically honest so far. I just said the truth I’ve never had an open container in the car and it is a shared vehicle. They let me back on with a warning that still didn’t apply to me.and also I’m allowed to transport teens because I am a good driver.
Im suing lyft now in the state of washington for deactivating me after 5 false claims by passengers. If I win, they will have to pay me for all the driving time I missed for 2 years, since I filed the lawsuit. I want them to pay me gross. Which is about double. It would be nice if I got compensation, but I mostly just want my account restored.
I don't have dashcam evidence of the 5 false claims, but neither does lyft or the passengers. It's my word vs theirs. They are making a claim that I broke the terms, they have to provide evidence of their claim. "Passengers said x" isn't evidence because passengers are financially incentivised to lie and get their money back.
Anytime you have questionable customers you need to contact them the company immediately after these incidents because if you don't this happens. Got to be proactive because these things happen.
There are many other issues! Drivers needs to unite and fight against these wrongdoers! In every state we must create an independent union unrelated to UBER and Lyft staff! In California, all the prices went up due to inflation except UBER and Lyft who lower their prices from January 1st. The list goes on! This why we need to create an independent union in every state and work together!
Very good idea. How to get started with a union for independent drivers? I'd driven taxis in many cities and when Uber came, Uber in two cities San Francisco and Baltimore MD, I knew for sure that "getting transportation workers together is impossible".
Drivers let's make our own app and screw uber /lyft . We all having same issues. Very cheap people cannot afford even $5 for a trip . I been doing for 7 years. I am so happy for you bro good job . We all drives should sue them have a sold profile this guy
Once your 30 days up you go to the sheriffs main office with your judgement claim hand them all the paperwork the sheriff office will contact lyft let them know how much and they have 7 days to pay or sheriff will show up to lyft office and collect the amount owed
I want to sue. They deactivated my account because someone said I was driving under the influence. But I wasn't. They deactivated me and won't respond. I want to surrender for lose wages. I don't even smoke weed or illegal drugs. A total Christian. Where do I start.
It’s probably to prevent from having to pay medical benefits, Is this happening only to full time drivers? And are this service suspensions affecting the pay of medical benefits?
I was deactivated today for the second time from lyft because of a false report. My very last message to lyft. I told them moving forward. I cannot recommend any new drivers to drive for lyft. I just can't.
Dear group, many people post “to reactivate your Uber account permanently text or call such and such , they ask for name, phone, email affiliated with Uber account. is this real , can they reactivate, or it’s kind of scam ?
This is so wrong from lyft. All lyft has to do is look at the proof from Michael. But I get it, lyft wants to get rid of drivers who can think for themselves. They want drivers who will accept all ride requests.
I'm having a problem with Uber Eats.. I was deactated for 3 months and I'm deactivated again.. They say my drivers license is revoked but it is not.. My driving record is perfect and my license is stamped safe driver..
I got deactivated today for “discriminatory” remarks in person, then an email that said that I texted discriminatory remarks (make up your mind Lyft) to a rider. Neither of which ever happened. I asked for evidence, I got nothing. I’m a 5 star driver, never had an issue. Then this happened. I’ll be contacting a lawyer.
I'm looking for lawyers to deal with both Uber and Lyft, may years couldn't find one willing to represent me, there are dime a dozen lawyers to take accident cases but none will take my case, if you find one, let me know. Good luck.
My brother lyft account deactivated last week, no reason . My brother got lost items in his car when hes bring hes phone to passenger . Passenger give him cash tip but passenger didn't know he have to pay lost items fee .when take $20 from passengers banks. Passenger asking to lyft why take $20 from my bank account when i give him cash tip then lyft customer support deactivated my brother lyft account. Then letter passenger contract with my brother and also talking to lyft support and explain about cash money but lyft don't want to understand its keeping deactivated 😔
I was accused of being intoxicated and I take medications that I cannot drink anyways if I wanted to last week I went to the emergency room because I had severe stomach pain and they diagnosed me as having an ulcer. They deactivated my account and I'll get back with me within 48 hours.
I’m ready to sue Uber. I just need to know what steps I have to take. Uber just deactivated my account again for the second day in a row after reactivating me yesterday due to false claims by riders for refunds. The trips they said my deactivation were due to were trips I had previously needed to submit photos to be able to drive again. I submitted the photos each time, and proved the riders to be liars….and they still deactivated my account. I’m ready to sue Uber now.
Hi, I was deactivated today after their investigation and I have 2 videos that I would like to share with you to show you my unfair deactivation. I am going to take legal action against Uber. So I’m not sure how we can discuss this farther.
Similar issue happened to me. BUT they accused me of rape and kidnap and also gave the dude my number and he was harassing me 😭. IT'S ALL recorded on dashcam, Can you connect me to this guy's lawyer pls? 🙏
I have recently started using a dash cam, what do you prefer, starting and stopping after each trip to keep trips separate, or keep cam on continuous for each shift that day. Thanks
Lyft is also currently threatening me.. I'm a 5 star driver with 1.3 yrs experience with them but I've had some stupid customers as of late get into my car drunk acting up and make complaints about me but my rating is still 5 stars and very good.. They also keep sending me $3 order which if I take will make less than $10 an hour... So since I keep declining all these trash orders they are threatening to deactivate me..
I was deactivated for discriminatory Behavior which basically means telling your passengers no no you can't have eight people in the car no you can't have an open container in a moving car no I cannot take your kid to school by himself no I cannot break the speed limit to get you to work because you're late all of this can be construed as discriminatory Behavior
I think Uber need to be investigated cause I seriously think Uber is taking more than the 25% out the original fare they charging the riders. I done had riders on many occasions tell me that Uber charged them one price and what Uber paid me was half or a few dollars more;
I’ve got the exact same situation AXCEPT with a gov installation etc. Holy sh I’ve got so much a better case I’ve just realized omg my case is tragic compared to him wow
I’m glad he won his case but I don’t believe his story for nothing lol Something seems to be being left out. I’d like to see the video with the joke but 9 complaints is a lot. Moral from this story is that you drivers need a dash cam and we should be able to sue passengers for faulty claims that lead to deactivation.
Uber an Lyft did it to me as well, Uber 3 min trip woman in Waco TX said I touched her inappropriately which was false, Lyft said I discriminated against them which was a lie yet still deactivated was a platinum driver on both platforms a year at both with excellent reviews and deactivated permanently from both including now can't drive for door dash cause of Lyft deactivation
Man I’m going through this unjust deactivation now smh I hate them and have removed the app from my phone . In my car they said failed identity lol but the kicker is I’ve been a driver on Lyft since 2019 🤷🏽♀️ make it make sense smh
If you are in Philadelphia I am going to start a class action in PA against lyft and Uber for wrongful deactivation they basically believe the riders over you
On the under age transport. Its interesting because right now the company is not responsible as drivers are independant contractors. There is legislation in process that will hold the company liable like a taxi service. Maybe Lyft and Uber will change thier tune about car seats and minors.
@@sergioSMTMC1 Similar issue happened to me. BUT they accused me of rape and kidnap and also gave the dude my number and he was harassing me 😭. IT'S ALL recorded on dashcam, Can you connect me to this guy's lawyer pls? 🙏
Before, when there was few drivers on the platrorm, whether taxi or food delivery, and they needed more drivers, they were giving priority to drivers and compensating them very well with promotion, and they used to take little from the base pay for themself, because of that many people quit their job and join them, because they think tbey will make that much money all the time, when they got too many drivers on the platform, they start using drivers like slaves, they remove promotions, and they decrease the driver compensation for trips, they charge the customers too much as base pay, but they gave the driver a little from it, since the customer pay a lot for a trip, or food delivery, he will not pay much tips, or he will choose not to pay at all.
MICHAEL CAN YOU PLEASE SHARE THE LAW FIRM WHO REPRESENTED YOU??? THIS IS VERY SATISFYING TO WATCH. I FEEL LIKE I HAVE WON THIS CASE. THANK YOU MICHAEL AND BRAVO 😊
@@thegamepz No I never said that and by the way I like The Rideshare Professor's videos. This video by Sergio features Michael who stated in the video he did his own small claims suit himself in Pennsylvania. I hope that explains everything.
Hi Sergio! Need your help if u can. I drive Lyft in DC area. Last week on 7/10 my account got hacked when I was going to pick up the person. After that my account was logged out. I opened multiple support ticket but did not hear anything then I took the call appointment on 7/12 and the lady told me that someone from Support is working and will come back to me. But nothing until 7/17 and I took another phone appointment and this time the guy told me that he is opening the ticket again but again no luck. I lost around $810 which were pending to deposit on my account on 7/10. Please tell me how can I get these stupid Lyft support act on this and got my earning? Thanks Sergio!
Dude jeez let him talk and finish his thoughts before you interject your opinions and shit talk about uber/lyft, I’m only at 8:24 mark and its already super annoying. I watch this show here and there and see u do it to that other guy too. I know its your show, so do whatever, it just really annoying. Edit: Ok, it got better, so kudos there! I know its all passion, so my bad. Thanks for what u guys do btw.
Honestly, it is very tough to do interviews since drivers are not used to stick to topics or timelines, watch some of the others and get back to me, thanks for the support
@@sergioSMTMC1 Yes you are right, I’ve never done nor have the slightest idea how it all works (interviews). I haven’t seen all of your videos because of lack of time, but to be fair this is the only ride-share related channel I watch more than once. Just my two cents: - It’s understandable your guesses are going to go off topic, as a freelancer and a driver myself (and u as well), we know it can get lonely out there. It’s unlike any job Ive have had before. I know we pick up people and have convo but most pax will talk/ask about the same thing over and over. What I’m trying to say is we (most drivers) tend to keep our frustrations that came with the job to ourselves (reddit is flooded of drivers frustrations) unlike other jobs with coworkers where we can kinda team up about the frustrations there. So when finally given a platform, drivers are most likely gonna be passionate and go off-topic. - You mentioned that guys have spoken before this interview, idk if you do, but maybe give them a heads up and make them understand that theres a time limit to the show or other reasons. - Lastly, again not sure if u guys do or not already, maybe create a clear and generally written guideline and/or rules of the interview and send it to upcoming guesses before hand (enough time for them to read, understand, and ask questions about it if they don’t fully understand. And if the interview is unique to that particular guess, or if every interviews are unique to individuals, then maybe some create some sort of template that can cover most general rules of any interviews in your platform, then leave out a section where you can articulate to that guess the rules/guidelines he had to follow during the interview. Anyways, I’ve been going too long, thanks for replying and thanks again for what u guys do!
It’s amazing that billion dollar companies are so poor at driver support (The only way they can make money) is THERE DRIVERS!!🤬 Thanks Sergio and Michael
Here is the deal on Lyft as a fact confirmed with support in writing. If a passenger makes a complaint they get the ride at a greatly reduced rate or free. So yes there is financial incentive for passengers to complain. Also I don’t make jokes with passengers, also no religion, and no politics. All smiles and positive conversations.
I am an extrovert, and I like to speak about all topics. Usually, I ask a question like Do you think Trump will win? And let them talk. It makes the ride go faster. I don't feel I would like driving if I had to be silenced. It is like being in a dictatorship.
Yes, I am a victim of wrongful deactivation I was never given the chance and there was no transparency that Uber violated my constitutional right,I was fired from Uber I’m so Frustrated I have 35,000 trips , I maintained zero cancellation 100% pick up rate as Platinum Uber pro, now deactivated for good, no-help no support , how I wish I could have sued Uber for my wrongful deactivation help ❤please
Just got blocked due to a claim i was under the influence... the ride was 1.5hrs long and felt like it went great. My only guess is they are trying to get a free ride at my life's expense!
Myname is oscar driving for uber more than. 5 years I'm was 5 star driving more than 13 thousand redide uber deactivate my platform for no reason thank you very much
I was recently permanently deactivated by Lyft for supposedly making fun of someone's religion (never happened). This followed temporary deactivations for supposedly smelling of alcohol (i dont drink) and for cancelling a ride over someone race (i cancelled because i had an emergency at home and the cancellation took place before the pickup so i had no idea what the passengers race was. I had done over 7000 rides driving PT mostly on weekends during bar hours over a 6 year period and had a rating of 4.95+ and was a Lyft Platinum driver. Fortunately, i also drive for Uber, and since i have a FT job outside rideshare, i wasnt left completely out in the cold. But it still irks me how recklessly these companies just use people without any regard to their well being.
It is time you file a lawsuit in small claims. If we all do that, Lyft must respond to drivers' petitions to have hearings with the accuser and the driver present.
Everything he saying is correct! I deal with this daily and been threatened by uber to deactivate my account. I have video of everything! Luckily I have a CDL and in the process of purchasing a box truck to get back on the road making big bucks.
I'd love to find whoever it was that got the idea to create an outlet for gig workers to seek legal redress for lying customers. Wish this option was around when Lyft suspended me over the false accusations of some dope head. They lost me as both a driver and a customer that day. Oh, well.
Since last year, they turned cold and I noticed it. They have been in decline and going bankrupt. That's the reason they just don't care anymore. Hence, there have been no responses in the last many months. I never had any suspension, nor complaints in my 7 years with Lyft, 5 rating, numerous compliments, and I was deactivated this March after false accusation by pissed off low life. I have gotten responses, though, but just terse and curt, and that they could not put me back on the platform. I am not sure if I am interested much but very much would like to clear my name on a matter of principle.
He could go after the passenger. He’d have to file against them as John/Jane Doe, then subpoena Uber/Lyft for their information & amend his suit to their actual name once U/L respond. If they don’t respond then I’d ask the court to hold them in contempt & fine them another $14,200/day 🤷🏼♂️
There should be compensation if found innocent. Also they need to warn the customer that if they make a false claim their information will be available to the accused drive so they can sue them.
I got deactivated by Lyft bc I cancelled many times in 2017 They Lyft send me warnings but I was very new didn’t take seriously and they kicked me out of platform till now. I tried many times office/chart but they said it’s final deactivation. What to do to get my account back? Thanks so much!
Took off from Lyft on the first day of the pandemic in March 2020 after driving 4 years in Vegas. When Vegas casinos was still closed in July 2020 I get a email from Lyft saying my account has too many complaints and they were going to deactivate me. LMAO, 7,000 rides, 4 years, 100% acceptance, rating, and a 5.0 rating and I get the activated when I haven’t even drove for five months. Lyft will screw you over, just give them time, they will find a way.
I was deactivated permanently on Uber eats and lost the appeal. I had a 98% satisfaction rate. The reason this happened is because I live in Las Vegas and people staying in casinos order food and we aren't allowed up to the rooms. So they have to meet us at the Uber drop off. 1 out of 10 customers refuse to do this. So I called customer service and then they cancel the order. Because this happened too many times I was permanently removed and now can't pay my rent this month. I'll be $200 short
Hearing everything that has happened to this guy is one of the major reasons why I'm starting my own black car service. I am so over all the low life people I keep picking up that don't give two shits about my $80,000 car nor my personal space leaving trash, food smashed in the carpet, eating and vaping in my car without even asking... The money that these companies are paying us drivers are definitely not worth all that bullshit. We need to be regulated already! I may be moving on to bigger and better things but all the drivers need fair regulation because we are not employees and we are working our asses off for not enough return. Realistically all the drivers are upside down making less money than their mileage. That's not right!
youre exactly right. I just got permanently deactivated from a false accusation and I didnt even care. Ive been taking a beating financially ever since gas went through the roof and I simply kept driving because I like the 'work when I want' aspect. But I needed this deactivation to kick my butt in a better direction. So, oddly enough, the deactivation was a blessing. It forced me to do something different instead of just wanting to do something different.
I am a full-time woman driver in Chicago and got deactivated for racist allegations. Lyft did not allow me to defend myself before they issued a “permanent deactivation.” I contacted a lawyer, but the lawyer did not respond. So, I want to do what Michael did and file a small claim. We must take action against these injustices and get as much money as we can from Lyft.
There needs to be consequences for riders (or even drivers) who make false allegations like that. I mean, if Uber/Lyft is gonna automatically take the side of the rider no matter what happened, then why even ask us? If the rider said it happened, then it happened exactly as they said it did. That's some BS! EVEN IF we have video evidence that says the exact opposite of what we're being accused of, they (Uber/Lyft) ain't trying to hear any of it. But you know who will listen? Your lawyer!😅 So I hope you get paid, Veronica hoyos!
Wow. Being a driver for these companies is absolutely wild. There is basically no regulation and no way to hold Uber/Lyft to account for, let's say, stealing your tips, but deactivation is so serious that the damage can easily justify a trip to Small Claims Court. Good for you, Michael. You're helping all of us.
😅 i think this driver has little bit of issues. However , that issue isn't enough to not to drive as a Rideshare driver just as everybody else . And as a proof of it he did not do anything wrong but followed what they told us to do to a T. And he has full rights to back to its platform. This is almost human rights violation issue that Lyft is violating. What a Shame.
I've been on the lyft for a year, never been below rate 5.0, and I've been keeping the platinum, but I've been deactivating the driver because my face unmatche , passenger complain 😂I haven't heard from Lyft, so I have a dadh. Cam evidence even though I have Daesh cam in my car, and I've been fired unfairly for no reason or explanation
