The phippines is surrounded by the sea. My wife over there and family. Cant wait for my wife is with me. It’s sad to see typhoon coming there all the time.

Baguio came thru without a scratch. I'm on irasan western hillsides facing SCS alls quiet only brown outs. Verry little rain last night n this morning. I can view entire lingayen gulf from my patio. Alls clear hundred islands look safe secure as do dagupans power plant. I saw lights across d bay last night n early dis morning from San Fernando la Union to dagupan n everything in between. God was good to us. My nephew in pampanga Angeles not so good his roof blew off severe flooding

Does anybody know how the people in Angeles are doing? Haven't been able to get in contact with my friend for 2 days.

Agencies like Coastguard don't need to wait for the LGUs to request their help. LGUs already have been battered by the typhoon, its officials sleepless and traumatized by the typhoon plus the responsibility of taking the community people's welfare on top. Their help is greatly needed in clearing and relief operations.

Boring news coverage is GOOD NEWS. Means that the disaster preparedness was adequate to mitigate the effect of the super typhoon. But all those styrofoam in Marikina do not seat well on me. Mayor, I hope next time, invest on starch-based food packaging. But still distributing cooked food in evacuation area is better (in my opinion) that giving uncooked food package in layers upon layers of plastic.
