Billy Carter is "light drinker." The moment it gets light out, Billy starts drinking- LOL. I can't believe Mr. Dawson got away with that quip. Hilarious.
Neat episode, kinda wish Richard woulda alluded more to them being related as the show went on but nonetheless. Thanks for posting. As a sidenote too, in this episode it was possible to win in 2 questions in this episode if taken all the way.....woulda been interesting to see that happen, and how they'd have handled that (I assume breaking up fast money maybe? like the current version has done if the game was swept in 3 before), also wonder how often that woulda been possible in the first 2 and a half years...before going to 300, makes for an interesting scenario to be sure.
Oh my gosh!!!! I cannot believe that he got away with the joke about Billy Carter and his "light" drinking. In fairness, Billy was only a public figure because of the one term presidency of his brother at the time. That joke would have been better directed at Senator Ted Kennedy. Nonetheless, it was still hilarious.
Until 1979, only 200 points was required to win the game. It later got bumped to 400 points in 1984, but returned to 300 after Ray Combs' version started.
