This marks the return of the Dawson and Combs theme, which was introduced in O'Hurley's third season. This was also used during episodes of the early years of the Richard Karn era of the show. This was still used on Harvey's tenure of the show.
I don't ever remember a game show host bringing their children on stage with them or even showing anyone like their spouse or any other relative at a live showing.
For me, no one beat Richard Karn with Louie & John tied for 2nd place. Steve,of course, is one of a kind. Dawson creeped me out big time with his having to kiss all the ladies. Not all welcomed that. Back then rejecting him might have caused people to tell the female target, "Don't be silly!" Glad times have changed.
