The family of Serhiy and Halyna Drovnuk faced a full-scale invasion in their home in Borshchova, Kharkiv region. In the first days, the village was already occupied by Russian military.
On May 2, 2022, Serhiy was injured due to shelling, and the Russians transported him to Belgorod. Halyna didn't know where her husband was, so she decided to go to Russia to search for him. After some time, the couple reunited and moved to Finland because Serhiy needed proper medical treatment.
After the de-occupation of Borshchova, Halyna and Serhiy returned home. They lost their son in the war, and their house was damaged due to combat actions. Currently, the couple is trying to rebuild their home and preparing for winter.
