It’s not a different actress voicing Lois. It’s always been Alex Borstein. She just changed the tone and delivery over time.

Lois has always been voiced by Alex Borstein, pretty much all the voice actors delivered their lines with different voice tones in the beginning.

Every voice actor has been the same in the main family except Meg in season 1 was voiced by Lacey Chabert instead of Mila Kunis

3:55 this is a thing with alot of long running cartoons the earlier seasons the voices are slower and laid back then later becomes more faster and high pitched as the show goes on. But yeah its the same voice actor

The only voice actor that I know they replaced was the woman that voiced Bonnie, Joe's wife. She left the show when the wheelchair jokes got a little too hurtful. There were a lot of disabled kids that really liked Joe. In the earlier episodes Joe was really cool and he wasn't limited by his disability.

@@TheZoenGaming Yes, I remember that episode. Peter threatened Lois, implying the he would replace her, and mentioned Lacey's name: Lois immediately gives in. But I didn't get the joke: I later learned that Lacey is the person who originally voiced Meg. I think there was another episode where Brian and Stewie travel to the future and are looking in on their house as parts of old episodes play, and the clip is from Season 1. Brian or Stewie says that Meg sounds weird, and the other said something like, "Yes, like she's about to make a big mistake in her life." Not a direct quote. I don't know if Stacey quit or was let go.

You'll recognize her from "Mean Girls," "Party of Five," "The Wild Thornberrys" (where she voiced the main character Eliza), and she is now considered one of the queens of the Hallmark Channel. She has starred in over a dozen Hallmark Channel movies.
