That Christopher Columbus cutaway was a reference to Mr. Peabody and Sherman. It was a segment on The Rocky and Bullwinkle show. I used to watch it on Cartoon Network when I was a kid. 😂
@Martin.Wilson I'm not a boomer I'm a millennial and the only other cartoon you mentioned that I know of is Dudley Do Right and Rocky and Bullwinkle I have never heard of the others.
Before Cartoon Network it used to be shown on Nickelodeon, usually it or Looney Tunes would be the last kid thing to come back when cartoons basically stopped at 8 PM before Green Acres and all them old shows like Get Smart. They also had Aesops fables and Savoir Fare or however you spell that rats name that was on Rocky and Bullwinkle show too, talk about wayback machines...
