It's nice to see that Lois and Peter are nice to Meg in this scene. Also when Meg was playing all those instruments was both hilariously unexpected and impressive at the same time.
This is how humor SHOULD be done. Subversion of expectations - the first part sets up an obvious and funny premise, while the second part completely turns it around. Wish more shows did this more often nowadays.
Family Guy has been ripping off the Simpsons for years. I like Family Guy, but I've seen them copy the Simpsons in jokes and episode plots over and over again. Maybe some of the writers for the Simpsons left for Family Guy years ago. I duno

There is one in German that promises to be an LGBTQ youtuber, and writes stuff like "women are stronger than men" in an obvious attempt to trigger people who are LGBTQ-phobic or misogynistic to click on their videos. Don't fall for an obvious troll like that.
Meg is so talented. There was one episode for scholarship (I think) she did sports and music as well. Technically she and Stewie are the smarties in the family.
In the Simpsons crossover episode she also instantly played the Sax better than Lisa. Those little details are amazing. Meg is a hidden musician genius!
@@kork1035Honestly, Stewie is probably at least as talented, considering all the things he does and the fact that he's still technically a baby. Little dude has been a legitimate child star at least twice.
@@angelacooper8973 This cartoon's sense of beauty isn't really consistent, on multiple occasions they say Lois is hot and Meg is ugly, but she a very similar face as Lois, she's not quite as thin, but is still in much better shape than Chris or her Father. There was also that episode where Peter was being harassed by his desperate boss because she was so ugly not even Quagmire would sleep with her, but she wasn't drawn that much different than women Quagmire would sleep with. "Ugly" is whatever the joke/story calls for.

@@paulgilbert5278 Oh, I have. And I remember well. Back then they actually treated her normal to a degree. Even Lois supported her when the popular kids shamed her by getting Quagmire to "scar them for life". I loved that. Lol. Then in later seasons she became the red-headed stepchild. They just need to drop the act of treating her bogus. She's not a bad character...ulike some others on the show.
I wasn't expecting sex to be the answer to the question "what was all that noise in your room this morning" but I also didn't expect Meg to be a one person band...
Ok...i love that the show was implying that she did some kanky panky in the back of his Nissan centra...but i love the cut to her just jamming out with a bunch of tubas and drums 🤣
