I wonder how many times Shanice and Darius get asked why they never made "You're the One I Need" a legit/real single back then? It would have EASILY been a massive R&B/radio hit and an awesome slow jam. But if the song was actually recorded for the show, there's GOT to be a full 3-4 min version out there of it. If it exists, they (whatever label or studio owns the song) need to release it as a single still today.
only thing i can guess is that back then everything was so record label regimented that they probably couldnt work out an agreement with her label and the show. Also it be hard to market. Now adays they would just put it on IG and it would blow up...

I literally has to come back to this every single time, just to hear them vocals from Shanice and Eddie, this should’ve been recorded for real, they sounded so good together, their voice complement each other’s nicely, the 90s R&B sound was so smooth, soulful and unmatched.

I was shocked and amazed by it too. She killed the remake of the song loving you it's easy because you're beautiful. She really sounded amazing on it and she still sounds til this day.

I love the joint Darius and Shanice did together, first time I heard it I knew someone had to do a full version of it. Soooo I doing it right now, R&B is my life and I remade the beat and everything from scratch. Now I just need a female vocalist. Anybody here that sings and lives in Orange County?
