Coming from a family of runners, my condolences to the family, yes and he was doing what he loved. What a beautiful sign he left behind for alittle comfort his cross amazing, my prayers for all.

When the parents described going to the hole where their son was struck and finding that cross that they gave him...I lost it. May he RIP.

You helped your baby Mama!!! You were a good mother to him. You made a lot of things possible, your son loved you. Hold that close, you most definitely helped your baby💜

Being new to Florida I try telling my mom her grandkids can’t be outside playing in the Florida rain and she literally tell me that it’s fine and now look a young man loses his life

I know somebody who was hit by lightning twice the same day and lived. That’s tragic

Parents teach your kids about the danger of lightning and what to look out for. Even if its sunny. If you can hear thunder . You can get hit by lightning.

I remember when I was a kid, my phys Ed teacher was struck by lighting while walking to her car, leaving school. She survived, but her face was always red it messed up her nerves florida lighting ain't no joke. Our house was struck by lighting twice.

In my country Guatemala, we're aware that when you have something medal or gold chain ...or even making contact with metal it's so dangerous when there's a rain or thunder. Metals attract electricity/strike. RIP baby boy! 🩵🙏🏽🩵

Folks need to look at he radar in weather apps to see if there is any severe weather in the area before doing outdoor activities. If the sky looks purple it's a good indicator there is electricity in the atmosphere and lightning. Even if the clouds appear distant the lightning branches in all directions. Last year I was at a park sitting in my car and suddenly out of what seemed like nowhere it sounded like a bomb went off over me, the tree at been struck by lightning and prices of the tree limbs were falling down. I am fortunate because my car took the surge and the hitch wiring fried. I am so glad I was in the car otherwise had I been outside next to the car I may not be here to write this.
