Here’s how we celebrated my husband Luke’s 50th birthday. That night we decorated and we decided to do a thankful wall for him this year just to show him how much we appreciate him. He works so hard for us and I think at times he feels like we don’t see him or not appreciative of all he does for us. And he’s been really really tired kind of struggling and so I just wanted to do something so he could see that we do notice all he does for us and how much he loves us. I set it up right by the front door because I want him to see that every time he leaves the house is just a reminder of how much we are thankful for all he does for our big family.
The dinner turned out, absolutely amazing. It was so so good, and, like my husband said the biscuits were really really good. Some of them were a little flat and I think it’s because I tried to double the recipe, but the first batch was absolute amazing and here is the recipe for the red lobster Cheddar biscuits:
Biscuit ingredients:
2 cups of Bisquick mix
One cup of shredded sharp cheddar cheese
3/4 cup of whole milk
1/2 cup of melted butter
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1 teaspoon of garlic salt, mixed with parsley
An additional 1/4 cup of melted butter to brush on the top of the biscuits once they’re done and then parsley to garnish before they go into the oven
Directions:
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix together, use the scooper place throughout your baking sheet and then sprinkle with the dried parsley. Bake in the oven at 375° for about 10 to 15 minutes. Once the biscuits are done pull them out and immediately brush them with melted butter. Let them sit for a couple minutes and serve.
Next up, we open presents, and my husband really liked everything that we gave him. And yes, sometimes I’ll give him things that don’t make sense but to me I’m thinking like well. He could use it so this would make his life better, but those are times when I realize me and my husband think differently and so now it’s an odd running joke, that sometimes mom gives things that nobody in the house understands but her. But it really was a nice time and he does love ice cream with his cake and then Brendon to end the video had me cracking up every time I watch it I just died laughing he is just so funny.
