This family runs on its stomach and so the swirling events of the day often center on the all important question 'What's for dinner mom?" The whole family is usually involved in the meals and snacks. Even Mo is overseeing Naomi's cookie making and gets to lick the beater from the mixer. (His favorite part 😅). This week we got hit with strep throat so if I'm talking a little funny that's why. Thankful for antibiotics! I was going to try to "tough it out" but I gave up on that when swallowing was almost impossible. Elijah and I were hanging out in the clinic waiting to see the PA who gave us the prescription. It was a bonding moment because we were watching a gameshow together in the waiting room and trying to guess the answers. It reminded me of the old days when we would be at the waiting room for the ENT at Children's hospital San Diego and there would be a pixar movie playing while we waited. But this time Eljah was almost an adult! (We went to the doctor the day before he turned 18.) Anyway, the memorable moments are usually made not just during the good times, but the bad times too. We made lots of memories around the table too, we managed to eat the biggest salad I think we've ever made! It was a hit lol.... we eat meals that are generally inexpensive and (hopefully!) healthy. We are on a budget, but while strictly beans and rice would be the best thing financially, we try to mix it up and keep the food interesting without breaking the bank. #largefamilylife
