I saw that they had New Mexico stickers inside. Out of state residents can get a New Mexico state pass for $220.00 a year. It allows you to stay for free at any NM state park, which by the way have showers, bathrooms, trash service, dumpstations and park rangers, and some even have play parks too. Alot of the parks close their gates at sunset, which I feel is safer than BLM land. If you want water and electric, they charge you $4.00 a night.
@@TacksofallJrades BLM land is short for bureau of land management. It's government owned land that you can stay at for free. If you Google BLM land maps in the USA, it will give you exact locations. Alot of these lands are right outside state parks, but some of them can be out in the middle of nowhere. You just drive in, pick a spot and park there. There are no amenities and you cannot leave any trash behind. It's a good option if you don't have anywhere else to park and camp or if you just want to save on overnight fees. But it is open land.
Thank you Tiny Home Tours and Brian for making such a great video of our family and Bart the overlander! And thank you to all of you who subscribed and will follow along our adventures! 😊
Things are much easier when you are organized. This lady does what I always dreamt of being. Being organized is the foundation for success. Thank you for giving me ideas that I can use immediately to my kitchen organized. I wish you and your family the best and that you stay safe and healthy.
15 yrs ago I had an operation on my hip that left me unable to work but left me in pain 24/7 and taking two types of morphine to cope with it but being able to be there and see my 4 kids and the wife fulfills me so much just to be with them. Would have loved to have been able to have experienced something like what you guys have tho. Take care guys
Your living my dream. I love your beautiful home on wheels. I wouldn't need as much room as it would only be 3 of us. I hope that I can retire to RV living before I get to old to really be able to enjoy it. My only con is the toilet situation lol but its not enough to change my dream. Enjoy life and living it your way 👍❤
I saw a family of 5 in a Class A and it was way better. This can only go 50 mph, not a proper shower or toilet, poor awning setup and TWO vehicles. Not great and super awkward
Amazing….love the whitewashed wood and sky lights, and the slides make it not too squished. And I think likely better than a standard RV, where you never quite know of its quality underneath, or “whatever looks nice and works for a few years.”
I’m building a hummer with a tiny home trailer and I’m having a blast. I can’t wait for it to be done. I’m already living out of the trailer on a farm so I know power consumption, water etc. I have exterior siding to do, solar kit and swapping my hummer engine to diesel. I used the hummer during the freedom convoy with a tent beside and it gave me the idea to build the trailer. A place to call home in any situation.
I feel bad for the kids having to live their parents dreams. I'm sure its fun for the first week, but they're missing out on experiences like friends, parties and social interactions with kids their own age. Home schooling sucks.
Wow, a reasonable, well-made, well-designed setup, and $80k for that seems like a really good deal. You get a lot of space, a lot of practicality, and a lot of storage for a fair price. I almost never see that. Usually these videos feature a $400k overlander that would hold 2 people for a weekend trip. You guys did it right.
I absolutely love your home on wheels! No matter what it cost, I believe it is worth it. Just think of all the memories you guys are making. Plus you're getting a chance to really see this country, from the north to the south, all the changes of weather, and that is priceless. I believe this new home of yours if going to bring your family even closer, and I hope you enjoy every mile you spend on the road. God bless you and keep you, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! 😊
One downside is that the children don't have the ability to make lasting friendships with other children or people. I suppose they will eventually settle down in one location so that the children can build these relationships.
Really nicely done! There is so much natural light and your color selections help to open up the space. The only concern I see is for privacy. Eventually all kids are going to want more of it. Happy travels! 🏞
How much will the rig depreciate over the years? Won't it be difficult if you ever decide to buy a home again having spent your house sale proceeds on the rig? Curious as to insurance costs. Since it is a very solid build is insurance cheaper or more expensive because of it's size etc?
Wish I had this for my kids' motocross race weekends. Been lugging a tent for the last 3 years and although we get by, storms make it really tough to pack up quickly.
Love your Beautiful Home. It's awesome. The kitchen Is Where I'm happy making Real food and Baking from scratch. Thank you for sharing your Home. Happy And safe Travels.. The whole Rig WOW.
I love seeing families thinking outside the box and doing things like this, that truly are for the betterment of their family unit. We've all been deceived to think what is "normal". So glad they were in the financial position to do this :)
@@Flat_Earth_AddyThis 80K mobile house is exponentially more affordable than the 200k+ house my family lives in now. 200k is also on the lower end for a decent house for a family of four. So your point is null.
Good for you guys a lovely close family travelling together enjoying your lives lots of great memories and maybe in afew years the family can purchase another home . From Australia
I see you state you store stuff in your trailer that you said smells. So is your son exosed to that. I can't imagine the work for the wife. Cooking in such a small space. I hope the family doesn't do anything until you all help with dishes. What an adventure for kids. Nice work!
During this phase of their lives this family thought to live in this way ,but maybe after sometime they would like to live again as usual ,within a old-fashioned ordinary house, built on ☺ soil,as ordinary people. But its a fact that , people don't need big houses to reside.A lot of prayers for the video makers from Raawalpindee, Northern Province of Punjaab, lslaamic Republic of Paakistaan, South Asia.
The video was shot in March 2022. But it took Tiny home tours a while to edit and have the video ready for upload! In the mean time our plans changed and we sold.
Looks like a great way to raise a family. Travel around, home school better than sending your kids to a public school. They also be saving a ton of money from taxes and insurances of all kinds.
I love your story, and the priority of being together so unusual for today. Very rewarding I'm sure, and a lovely norm to aim for. Thank you for sharing, God bless!!!!
The interior wood work looks amazing. Love the 6x6 conversion. The only thing I don't like is the small fuel tank; personally, I would upgrade that to at least 100 gal since the truck has low fuel economy and just incase of emergencies.
This is an RV, not a tiny home. A home is a building on the ground, not a vehicle. RV stands for recreational vehicle, an in a vehicle where you can also live full time.
