They'd rather take up jail space for drug addicts as opposed to truly dangerous, violent offenders. It's truly sickening, infuriating... I don't have enough words. The thing that I noticed the most was Landon's demeaner. Interesting how miracles are bestowed on some but not on others. I question by what criteria, "God" makes these decisions. Thousands of completely innocent, young lives are lost every year by no fault of their own. I choose not to believe in an unfair, "God". I believe in chance. The full impact of the fall was reduced by the fact that the boy's arms contacted the ground first. His strong, resilient body plus superb medical care saved him. Happy for him and his family.

I'm so glad he's okay, but personally I find the praying bit a little disconcerting considering gods are supposed to be all knowing and all powerful. If my earthly father stood by and watched me get thrown off a balcony when he saw it coming, and did nothing... until somebody told him he should do something, I would sure lose my belief in him! After I lost my own son, all my religious brainwashing evaporated the same way his precious life did, as well as all the other innocents who suffer.

You wouldn't let your child run into the street because he/she has "free will", but the supreme being can? C'mon. For all of recorded history those in control created their versions of supernatural gods and scripted their dogma to appease our ignorance of natural forces and fear of death. I’m calling horseshit on the forgiveness. Only fools who have an unhealthy relationship with their emotions would do such a thing. It’s okay to be angry, it’s okay to not forgive someone who wronged you, and it’s okay to cuss them out for what they did to you. Forgiveness that isn’t earned is weakness. Also the fact this woman prayed for her son to not leave the hospital in a wheelchair gave me massive ick energy. Maybe it’s because I’m disabled and need mobility aids and use to being told “I’ll pray for you.” Disabled people don’t want thoughts and prayers. We want you to actually help us; push for stricter laws to protect us from discrimination, make places more accessible, stop tearing us like we’re disposable. There is no one more ableist than Christians and it’s why I left the church.

She said she had a gut feeling something was not right! I know that feeling and never dismiss it... act accordingly and listen so one can make other decisions. Life gives warnings. But.....What the heck, only 19 years in prison for attempted murder and had a previous history of malcontent? This man was off his rocker for doing this and needed to be sent away for life. Insane...times we live in. Making that poor baby messed up for life that he has to overcome. I just hope he won't have PTSD from such a lift threatening trauma.

Moral of the story always listen to your gut, I'm native and that's something a few elders drilled into me, your gut is your ancestors looking out for your is what they say and I believe it. I'm glad he's okay but 19 yrs is nothing. That should be death penalty. It's pretty fucked how attackers, rapist, etc will get less time than someone who sold weed or some stupid petty charge that while they should be charged for, it shouldn't be higher than someone like him.

Y'all need to remember that forgiveness is not about the person who hurt you. Forgiveness is about your peace of mind and soul. Without forgiveness, you live with resentment which is like drinking poison while expecting the other person to die. It isn't an easy choice, but for this family, it was clearly the right choice.

@allysastoupa4326
@allysastoupa4326 Год назад
That is a very basic question and I can tell you haven't given much thought so here ya go... God has given us all free will. Without free will love would not be love. God is not a forceful God. He doesn't force us to love him. He gives us choice. Sooo bad things happen because of the sin people choose. Some people are off their rockers and that's because they are sooo far apart from God. But sin is sin. Some are worse than others yes, but all sin is bad. (If you want me to go into detail about "all sin is equal" I can) Is God supposed to incinerate all bad? Because that would mean humans would not exist, none of us can compare to the glory of God and so it plays out. God's will is greater than you can even comprehend. His will will turn our evil actions into glory. He will not control us, but has given us (if we choose) the spirit to see where we and our circumstances may lay in the greater scheme of it all. And that is why it is possible to praise Him through great sorrow, it is possible to forgive the unforgivable. Since we are blind to His greatness, some question God's goodness. Like you just did. But you're just not capable of comprehending God. Otherwise, if His creation outsmarted Him, He would not be great enough to be God. Stay humble. And study what you criticize, before you criticize.
@alwillk

@ally. What a load of crap. Humans existed before “gods” we invented them to explain the unexplainable and to control other people. The great thing about religion is it requires no evidence or proof to support it.
@allysastoupa4326
@allysastoupa4326 Год назад
@@alwillk uhh there is evidence? lol It's everything around you down to the atom. Takes more to believe what you believe. About 1 in 10^229 of an odd, actually. Or did you not take any science or statistic classes. My guess is not, Al. It's actually really entertaining to hear how people think their arguments are so impelling and then the science they support with their whole eternal life points to the answer they so begrudgingly can't accept. Yes, people can make up stories. But you know how rumors are spread? A piece of the rumor comes from somewhere. People know such a thing as a god exists and can make up a story. You could right now. Remember when some thought the earth was flat? Because people make things up to explain experience and half-truths. The earth is round. But just cause they got the shape wrong doesn't mean there's actually no earth at all? Maybe we're in a simulation. But we can assume the likely probability that the earth is real since it is a common denominator in so many experiences. See that is basing the evidence on solely on some human experience. That still doesn't explain away God. But hey I get where you're coming from. Only one God can be real, which story is? Well the answer lies somewhere between history and science. Everything I've ever seen supports the God of Jerusalem. You will never find an example that God can't explain. Impossible. He is God. But there are some things your cut and dry science can't explain.
