Great video. I got really inspired watching it. I am currently teaching Montessori, and there's much I want to change and improve in the environment. I got some ideas now. Thanks for sharing. 😊
You teach them to do that. But you are also supposed to be relatively hands-off in terms of how you teach, so there is so inevitable cleaning and organization with the younger ages. However, by the elementary school ages, the children should be doing most,if not all, of the cleaning and maintenance themselves.
Hello, there is the preparation of the environment and the maintance of the environment. The children help with the second part. I am the person in the IC and children did cleaned after themselves. Remember its a collaborative work, also.
I think that those things should be taught by parents at home. I haven't seen much students and it looked like every teacher have one student. I mean give me one student and I teach him the world, but I can't see how this method would work with 20, 30 toddlers. Those teachers looked the most unstressed people on the world. None of the kids we crying, nor yelling. Is so far from reality. It looks great but it looks to good to be true.
In Montessori the opposite is true than the traditional ideas . The more children there are 15 or so for toddler and 25-30 children for primary actually work the best . The method is designed for such numbers and the environment is also fully prepared . There is no need to be screaming , crying or fighting daily when the environment is suited specially for children and meets all their needs without relying on the adult at all times. It does more than just work . It’s the ideal and a norm
My guess is these are the kids being toilet trained and they're making it easier for them to achieve going on the toilet BUT I 100% have some concerns about this
