I wouldn't support Hermes after them ignoring you like that. The funny thing is, many years ago I worked in Luxury retail and I remember one day these two colleague making fun of someone because they'd asked for the price of something and couldn't afford to buy it. I had to speak up and reminded them how much we were making and how not ONE of us working there could afford to buy anything in that store. That humbled them I think. There's never any excuse to be rude to anyone in my opinion.
What is crazy is that first she was ignored, and then offered a bag!!! I have been in that same store and only was able to buy a bag once, and I live here and have a sales associate there! AND.... I am on the Kelly List too- I am sure-FOREVER!!! truthfully- I am over it!!!!! I won't beg for companies to take my money!!!!!
Wow, that's a great point, I never thought about the idea of the associates not being able to afford the items they were selling. They always look so impeccably dressed, and their make up and hair looks like they just walked out of a salon, along with their behavior and mannerisms toward customers, this sometimes give off the idea that they own the handbags that they are selling. Thank you for that new perspective. I will remember that the next time I am ignored while shopping.🙂 I won't feel so defeated.
I make no bones about whether or not my bag for real. People complement me on them and if they inquire further I tell them thank you I got it off blah blah blah. I state that I’m not paying $4000 for a purse. Instead, I bought $3900 worth of stock and paid $80 for the same bag.I’m not trying to pretend that I can afford a $4000 bag. However, it makes me thrilled to know and to be walking around with an LV bag. I don’t know what that says don’t care. I grew up dirt poor where I had to think about spending a nickel for a piece of gum. I don’t live in that world now, but I certainly don’t live in the world that I can buy any of these products.
The idea that women willingly spend money in stores where we are treated hatefully BLOWS MY MIND. Balenciaga featured children with teddy bears in bondage gear AND a Supreme Court document on child pornography. The brand apologized and pulled the ads, while Kim Kardashian and the photographer distanced themselves from the controversy. But of course Kim is back as their poster child, gee never thought she would do that.... I don't see how there can be two sides to this, what they did was deliberate and it should never be OK to promote children in this way, but as disgusting as this was, how soon people forget and go right back to buying their products.
People just can't fathom the depths of evil in our world, and so they make excuses to continue supporting these brands. I have heard many other high end brands are all up this as well.
My Balenciaga bag is shoved in the back of my closet on the floor and the dogs use it as a bed. Seems appropriate. I’ll never carry anything from them ever again. That silver Gucci bag however…I think I just found my birthday present for this year!!
2nd this, 3rd this...personally I'd sell anything I owned by this brand. As an "influencer" ...and with 35 years in retail, retired retail executive... it's going to be a very long time before an influencer can wear this brand and not get a LOT of grief over it. They are a trash company and I personally would not want anything with their logo in my house. Sadly, their resale has gone way way down.

About Balenciaga, it’s complicated. I would probably sell if I had any just in case someone would mistake my wearing it as approval of the whole issue. But, I do see both sides, you already have it and it is a good bag in and of itself. I would try not to judge anyone if I saw them with one.

Oh this is going to be a long comment! 1) It warmed my heart to hear y’all taking a family vacation even though the “kids” are grown! I remember when you first started your channel and they were smaller and you would talk about the small adventures to Raleigh y’all would go on. It made me smile to think of you with your babies and John going and doing fun stuff together ❤ 2) It also warmed my heart that your subscriber said her and her mom watch your videos. I am constantly sending my mom videos of yours on boy for her to say “you know Ive already watched that one” 😂. So from 36 year old me and my 57 year old mama yes we both relate things you say or buy. 3) No to balenciaga. I won’t ever forget or get over what was actually happening with that company and the propaganda they were putting out in their ads. 4) The Mall at Millenia is BOMB! I went to college at UCF in Orlando and man I sure miss the shopping there! 5) I would LOVE for each of your family members to give us their top gift picks around Christmas. Not something you are buying for them but what would they give to a friend that is their age, same hobbies, etc or what they want to receive. This includes John and your parents. Even if you are the only “delivering” the video and they just write ideas or send you links to share I just think it would be awesome!
Oh, my Goodness! The thought of making anyone feel intimidated "to buy something" in their store is unacceptable. I could feel your stress, just talking about your experience at Hermes. My Mother was a model and actress and you would not believe the crap that these companies put out about their customers behind your backs. To make customers beg to be put on a list so they can buy something is ridiculous!! My Mother always told me that most makers of accessories are made by companies that made, not only, expensive luxuries but other price points as well. I have been in sales all my life and let me tell everyone, the people that come into your store and look like they can't afford to buy anything are more than likely the ones who could buy out the store. That is why you treat EVERYONE with courtesy and respect.

I did not know that that behavior was common at Hermes. I bought a bangle years ago - I just marched in and paid with cash. The sales associate was very helpful too. I had no issues. For a family of 4, you might be able to stay at the deluxe level, and still come out cheaper than value level with purchasing Express Pass!! Express Pass is included with deluxe stays, and it includes everyone in the room....and includes the day you check in/check out!! We wait for vacation bundle packages and stay at Cabana Bay for 5-6 nights (family suite), so Express is not so needed since we've got 4-5 days of park tickets included in package. Yes, you see lots of fashion at Universal!
They closed the Hermes store in Charlotte, NC. Closest one to me is now in Atlanta, GA. Hubby bought my Birkin from an online auction at Christie’s. It’s beautiful and now he has a connection for more pre-owned handbags.

Harry Potter, I haven't watched all the Movies but what I have done has listened to the Harry Potter audiobooks, now that was a treat I worked at a place where we could listen to music and books, and I've listened to them over and over, over the years they were being released on audio, and it's a performance, do your self a favor and just listen to just the first book on audio, like on a long drive.
