The Western Australia Police Force has taken decisive action, arresting over 100 recidivist family violence perpetrators across WA between 29 March and 1 April, 2024.
These individuals, aged between 20 and 77, face charges related to various family violence and other offences, including:
• Breach of Family Violence Restraining Order
• Strangulation or suffocation
• Endangering life, health, or safety
• Resisting or obstructing police
• Assault
• Failing to comply with police directions while driving
• Reckless driving to evade police pursuit
• Driving while disqualified
• Possession of a weapon
• Criminal damage
• Breach of police order
In specific instances, perpetrators were apprehended while armed with dangerous weapons or in situations endangering vulnerable victims, such as a pregnant victim who was tasered.
