The Ministry of Interior has revised certain regulations and procedures for bringing Families of residents for Residency or Visit.
Under the updated procedure, first I will tell you the Eligibility criteria for Government and Semi-Government employees to bring their families for Residency
1. The employee should have family housing allocated by the company or a minimum monthly salary QAR 10,000 duly accredited with an employment contract.
For the private sector Employees:
1. The employee’s profession should be of a technical or specialized (Non-Labour) category accredited with an employment contract.
2. The employee should have a minimum monthly salary QAR 10,000. Or QAR 6000, with family housing provided by the company and accredited with an employment contract.
Moreover, under the updated procedure, please note that the general conditions in family sponsorship cases.
1. The son should not be more than 25 years of age.
2. The daughter must be unmarried.
3. Children within 6 to 18 years of age must be enrolled in schooling inside or outside the country.
4. Health insurance is required during the duration of the stay starting from the date of entry into the country.
Conditions for bringing Families to Visit.
1. The applying resident should have family accommodation accredited by relevant authorities.
2. The applying resident should have a minimum monthly salary QAR 5,000.
3. The profession of the applying resident should be in the Non-Labour category.
4. The visitor must be a relative of the applying resident within the allowed degrees of relation.
5. The visitor must possess health insurance for the duration of their visit to the State of Qatar.
Application can be submitted online using Metrash2 app and the Ministry of Interior's official website.
