My Pops worked at the local drag strip a few summers when I was a kid. I literally remember waking up in the passenger seat and seeing them with torches and scrapers cleaning the box out and prepping for the day. Then he worked the staging lanes or handed out time slips. Very cool memories and easy to see why I can’t get enough Hoonigan.
Rad ass video! I saw the tractor on build and battle and went straight to google for Information and couldn’t find anything and then I come back to RU-vid and see this. You guys are clutch. Thanks
Absolutely loved learning that stuff. I knew those track guys worked they're asses off for a good surface. Now I know a little of what they go thru. Thanks guys👊🍻
You guys make people love their jobs, shinning the light on them. Like that one pizza boi who was scumbagged into doing a burnout in if i remember correctly shit car.
If I could literally just watch Hoonigan B-roll unedited id never sleep or eat and my friends would think I OD’d... they’re would need to be a welfare check. I love the content can’t get enough
Englishtown closed down broski. After Hurricane Sandy hit insurance companies rented track out to store claim cars. After things settled the family wasnt able to get it back up and keep it running that they closed the drag strip. Thats the track i raced at and ran my first 200mph 7.02 e/t. At 15
You would think that 4 tires rolling in the opposite direction to the tractors two would drag it backwards. Is their just less pressure applied to the four?
On the RU-vid channel called Garage 54 they did flip one of the axels to have the truck fighting itself. Although I'd like to see if Hoonigan could do it better.
The colder the track in asphalt circle track racing the faster and more grip we get as well. At five flags we race all year around but for the snowball derby we will rent track day before Thanksgiving or around that time if it's gonna be a really cold day to get the car dialed in for the snowball derby first week of December and if it's warm we find the day we raced that was the closest track and air temp that day abd put that setup in it or adjust it from the notes on that day to get it set up fir a warmer track and warner air
I was running a front engine dragster running on alcohol. My dad did the racing i was his crew and grew up doing that until he let me run it down the track at 15. He then sold it because he still hasn't hit 200 in a 1/4 mile and i did. Im 35 now
The two front wheel drive car idea been done before Tony Angelo made a twin engine impala he put put the second engine in the rear. Instead of welding two front cars together
VW did it back in the Rabbit days, dropped a GTI engine/tranny behind the driver's compartment and a set of front struts and a-arms and a custom subframe to mount the a-arms to run Pikes Peak. I saw a video about the restoration a few months ago.
What’s up with danger dan? Haven’t seen him on in forever? Is he not at hoonigan any longer??? Correction, he was on almost two months ago with the Braille skateboard thing... nothing since then. Seems like he was scarce before that too? He hasn’t been on any of the field trips, maybe he was In the back of a few other vids...
53 Ford Flat Head only? Yeah, no. You forget the Olds Rocket and 1st gen Chrysler Hemi would have been out for years by then. Some of the more wild cars at the time could have also used an Allison V-1710
Camera man is frustrating. He will ask a question and then he will start answering before the track guy can answer. Ask the question, then STFU so we can hear him explain his answer. LOL Great video though.
