20 years old. Took the plunge and buzzed my thinning, shoulder-length hair on the 1st of December. It was scary going from long bushy hair to nothing, but once it was done I was pleased with the outcome. Last week I shaved it all off with the Double Edge razor. Been shaving daily since then. Your videos helped me come to terms with it and take the leap! Guys, if you're balding and thinning and contemplating doing the chop, do it. It's one of the most liberating and self-empowering feelings you'll ever have.

Instead of using cream, use conditioner. I have a full head of hair but actually went bald for the quarantine. It’s heaps better, glides smoothly and no razor burn!

I used to shave my head with a safety razor, but about a year ago a got myself a Leaf razor. Never touched another razor after that. BBS with no irritation. I use 3 Gillette nacet half blades that I change after 4 shaves. My favorite shaving creme is St. James of London sandalwood. Greetings from the Netherlands.

Really hope you enjoy it man. I love the leaf and the twig. Be sure to check out the razor blade video I have too as I think it’s also worth a blade upgrade. It will shave right down to the skin so go careful and really take your time when you first start using it! Work up that technique. Really enjoying your content! I just started shaving my head a few months ago and am comfortable with it. Wish I’d started a couple of years earlier but, hey, it never bothered me too much that my hair was receding (it bothered my wife more than me, lol). My routine is shaving with coconut oil conditioner and a Shick Hydro razor, but am getting razor bumps and irritation so I may switch to a Gillette Skinguard soon…

I use genetic gel and blade. Been doing it for about 15 years. Steve Austin is absolutely right. As long as you take it easy, don't push down and take your time. You'll get a good close shave without bumps or burns. Added note, I have very sensitive skin, especially on the face.

Well i used to use shaving cream but to much razor burn , now i just use some conditioner and let me tell you , now i dont suffer from razor burns and its really smooth

Think about it like this: Being shaved is just another haircut... and everyone has a haircut (and most also change their haircuts). What they react on is that IT has changed... not that YOU has changed. When I shaved my hair I got the exact(!) same reaction as I got when I changed from long hair to short hair. And after they had seen it for the first time and reacted once it was old news and not mentioned again.

I've tried many of the cartridge razors, then some DE Safety Razors... Eventually got my hands on the Leaf razor. I found perfection for me. I no longer look for better ways to shave my head. IMO, it can't get much better than the Leaf razor head shave!

I've just brought the Babyliss Pro super motor skeleton trimmer, it's the best trimmer ive used for a no guard buzz. As close to skin I think you can get from a normal trimmer. You should review it, it's expensive but worth every penny.

I'm not balding a lot but I think it was getting me down where it was thinning. I thought sod it and shave the lot off. Been doing it for 4 months now and your videos actually helped with getting the courage! Don't believe him man, thinning hair can actually reverse man don't just fall believing those kinda mars cue ball head coz they choose to shave their head and they are lazy to do something when their cue ball head start thinning and all they do is to shave it off and encourage every once else to shave their head. I'm new to it and therefore also new to what to use. That's why I go straight through Headblade... Headblade Moto, Headslick, Headclear and Headlube(s). All made for head... all high in reviews... all available here in Sweden. Time will tell if I find something I find better for me, but at least I know that I use the RIGHT stuff until then. 😁

I saw youtuber Greg Boswell use conditioner as head shaving lubrication and swears by it. I have yet to try it, but I'm definitely interested in using an organic conditioner to shave my head. Has anyone tried this and does it make a difference?

I use the gillette skinguard blades and gel. I have a few moles on my head, and definitely get a nice clean shave with them without cutting or irritating the skin.

I don't get why you are surprised about the gillette foam? I pretty sure most bald man like myself use that over "water activated soap/cream in a ceramic bowl..." you see what I mean. You need hydratation, and lubrification, you don't need annything fancy or exotic. Annyway, people should do what they feel works and is the best for them cause after all, we are all differents!

also use disposable twin blade ones combined together with hair conditioner right after shower- actually any blades can do but having problems using shaving cream /foam as skin gets very dry...

I’m 17. Always knew I’d be bald growing up. Not bald yet but it’s apparent I’m balding (it’s been apparent since age 15 tbh). Although I’m decently built for 17 and I’m not ugly it still takes a toll on my confidence but this channel is helping me accept it. I just started shaving and bought myself a Remington RX5 as an introduction since it had both gotten high reviews and was fairly priced. I have yet to try others if I want to compare it to something, but so far I don't feel the need to look for something better. This feels more than good enough for me.

I'm on the Johnny Sins road pretty much. Shaving foam/gel and Gillette pro glide. I'm open in trying new products say as far as shaving creams/soaps but they are kinda expensive for my wallet. At least for now

Don't fall believing those cue ball head man around you, they are already bald and all those baldy people around here they gonna advice you to shave it off your hair coz they never try to save their hair or do something to reverse it. @@leftovernewsasia8251 False. We can save our hair using finasteride, minoxidil, saw palmetto, etc. We just choose not to. I have balls of steel, panther piss in my body, and God confidence more than most people with strong hair. Beauty is a 'State of Mind', It's not how you look, it's how you feel. Cheers back 🍻

I’m an electric guy for sure... Babyliss pro titanium foil, couldn’t recommend it more. Way more powerful than the Andis, so fewer times going over the same spot. The foils are a lot more durable too... so less expensive to maintain.

Sam do you say you're electric because you have tried a razor? If not. I'd seriously consider it because I was electric but the hassle of it ....then i had a wet shave once in the shower....it's so natural for me so I'd reccomend getting yourself Sian foam, a fusion 5 razor and accompanying blades and giving it a whirl if you haven't. Either way happy days whatever works for everyone 👌

@@Baldcafe no not too harsh for me, maybe because it’s designed for the head rather than the face or because generally you don’t need to go over the same area multiple times it doesn’t seem to cause any irritation or damage for me. Less irritation than a razor in my experience, but I do have very sensitive skin when it comes to razors. Yes! Moisturiser is a must for me, a nice thick fragrance free one- something with shea butter...

@@vivalachocolat1 I had some really bad experiences with razors when I first started shaving my face and when I had to be clean shaven for short periods in my late teens/early twenties. Generally just really bad skin reactions, rashes and painful skin for days after... plus the odd shaving cut. So always wore stubble. Because of this I always shaved my face electric, first with a Braun then a Phillips one blade (now I’m rocking a beard, because it’s great). So when the time came to do my head I just used what I knew... and trusted. But at some point I will definitely give a razor a go again though! 👍🏼

Facing ppl from your youth, and your whole family is hard. My mom told me why did I shave (pretty obvious why though), I felt discouraged by her reaction and I felt ugly, buy I feel more comfortable with myself being bald, stress free and with more confidence in my self. I need to update my profile pics in my social media, a bit scary too, lol

don't go bald its not that good or attractive, use saw palmetto and rosemary serum. Buzz cut is nice than have a cue ball head. cheers! 🍼

Balding runs through two generations of my family both male and female except for one grandma. I shaved my head twice in my life. I liked it, others did not. I wish I could get a wife before I go bald though. My goal in life is to have a very kind, respectable, and presentable wife who will be a great partner for 20+ years. Id rather die alone like the scrooge/grinch than have anyone less. Evedyday im hustling to become a better man. I may be a simp, but I do it better. 😤😅

I SHAVE MY HEAD IN THE SHOWER WITH A PROFUSION GLIDE VIBRATING BLADE AND WATER THATS IT NO PROBLEMS. THINKING ABOUT GETTING IT LASERED OFF SO I DONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT IT EVER AGAIN PLUS NO HALO EFFECT
