Thanks for this Steve. Although I'm from Liverpool, home of the Beatles, and used to see them regularly in the Cavern, I have always been a country girl. (Ringo and John were always obnoxious) Country was and still is "heart" music for me.

It was good to see the final resting place of Jerry Reed. You are blessed to have seen these location in person. Thank you for another great production. Stay safe and be well.

“May the Bird 🐦 of Paradise, Fly up Your Nose,”. I needed a good smile, 😀 today. Yes, I remember Tammy’s ‘Stand by Your Man,’ hit and Lynn Anderson’s, ‘Rose Garden.’ I was sad to see they both suffered. I learned about Otis Blackwell. He composed some fine, music. I sure loved, ‘Return to Sender.’ Great memories, third grade enjoying that song with a friend, but not realizing the misery for the person getting his mail returned. We had also lost our President, JFK . Thanks Steve, and I hope all is well with you, and yours.

Love Tammy! What a voice! Her and George Jones recorded " (Were not) The Jet Set!" One of my fave songs they did together! So much contreversey over her death too. Her daughter had her exhumed so they could do second autopsy ! But they did not find anything! I like that the cemetery is very welcoming and even allow people to put up pictures! I look forward to part deux! Thanks Steve!

Tammy Wynette was great. She had a second career in the 90's singing on a dancing song Justified and Ancient with KLF. I remember Little Jimmy Dickens, and Lynn Anderson and Rose Garden (which was also a huge pop hit. My dad liked Jerry Reed a lot and played his songs. I had to look up Van Stephenson because I was confusing him with someone else and remember I loved Modern Day Delilah which I remember seeing the video on MTV. So he was a rock, not country act (I thought ehe was, but found he wasn't). My parents were huge country music fans so I grew up with it.

Hi ya Steve. You cannot live in Tenn and not have been there. My family has been several times. Country music has always been part of our lives. We all have our person favorites. Van was a member of group called black hawk. I loved that group.once van found out about his illness he wrote a song to be played at his funeral. Its a beautiful song. After he passed the group was never the same. I loved the group because they was unique. Kind a mixture of country and soft rock. That group I listened to a lot when studying. They had some great song. For me their voice was unique. Van death hurt the group. Though he was not the lead singer he wrote a lot of their songs.I still have all of their CDs. Still listen to them. Van died too soon. The group continued to perform. It just was not the same. Black hawk. For me was just what I needed at that time of my life. He is missed still loved.we all loved Tammy and George. I think even after all they went through they loved each other till they passed. Lot great country artist is buried there.we never get tired of your videos Steve. We enjoy everyone of them. Thank you for showing others who don't live in Tenn or can't get to visit the singers, writer, and others final resting place.. We love Tenn. Chose to make it home. Up in the mountains its peaceful. Serene... We love it. Take care, be safe. We appreciate whatever you share. Love and positivity. Neita j.:-)

Great video Steve love watching your channel. I wouldn't mind visiting that cemetery someday. Eddy Arnold, Johnny Paycheck, Webb Pierce, Marty Robbins, Porter Wagoner, George Jones, Red Foley, DJ Fontana, Dobie Gray, Ernie Ashworth, Mel Street, Red Sovine, and Roy Orbison's Wife Claudette Orbison and his sons Roy Dewayne Orbison and Anthony King Orbison.

nice video. Lynn Anderson's crypt was full of pictures, souvenirs, fan postings, etc. - as is Tammy Wynette's - but when I was there, they were removing them. I asked why they were removing and they said they were clearing it for a bronzed career retrospect covering -- as you'll see on Little Jimmy Dickens - due to come in any time. Can't imagine what one of those costs.

@@TheGraveyardChannel I didn't like going in there alone, Steve, so I took a buddy. Kinda creepy in that elevator - alone - inside a mausoleum.

This was excellent Steve. I have visited Woolawn Cemetery in Nashville many times. In the late 1980's I worked at a funeral home on Nolensville Rd just a short distance from there. There are a few who rest there that I prepared for burial and worked their funeral service. I also attended Bible College a short distance from the cemetery and assisted teaching embalming laboratory at John A. Gupton College of Mortuary Science there. Video brings back a lot of memories.

Great video Steve. I saw another video yesterday from a guy who went to that very mausoleum and Little Jimmy Dicken's grandson attached a note to the crypt about how his grandfather's beloved Atlanta Braves had won the World Series in 2021.

Thank you for sharing this vlog. I liked Dottie West but had many favorites from that time like Conway Twitty, Eddy Arnold, Marty Robin's and definitely Jerry Reed. I remember TomPoll & the Glaser Brothers. What a blast from the past. His brother Jim Glaser was a favorite of mine and still had an excellent voice in to the 80's. I remember he wrote one of the biggest hits for Gary Puckett & The Union Gap, Woman, Woman. You should check out Jim singing his own song. I did not realize that all three brothers were gone now. Jim and Chuck died in April and June 2019 respectively. I loved the trio and Jim's work on his own and Gary Puckett and the Union Gap. Lol
