very helpful tutorial ! I replaced the fan according to this video. Some comments to this tutorial, you dont need to dis-assemble the whole cpu-fan-heatsink assemble from the motherboard, just unscrewed three small screws on the back of the fan and replace a new fan, then you can save to buy cpu heatsink glue.
Listen everyone. I fixed mine just right now without touching anything almost literally. I just Blew the fan window near the usb port (not the one near the power input port, or blow the whole thing sure.) You can actually hear the fan rotates while blowing and it gets faster after a few blow. Turned it on and yeah baby! Works like a charm!!!!!!!
i want just a faster fan, i mean, i use in notebook made for 25W ,a 35Wtdp cpu and i liquid metaled it but i just need a faster fan in case of keeping temps while rendering or doing more intensive stuff. but how and where to get a faster fan
funny tip...i had the same *fan error* code, and the computer would shut down...very frustrating when you need to get something done! ....to bypass this, when i first started the computer, I would put my mouth around the fan exhaust and blow into it furiously, so I could hear the fan whizzing around and keep doing that as the computer got going, and boom the computer boot and run normally, i think my CPR routine successfully tricked the computer into thinking the fan is working...maybe I'm wrong an it has something to do with me just bumping the computer around when i did this (like loose connection somewhere) but it worked for months and months before i finally replace the fan.......obviously beware of over heating if you try this, I would only run it for short times otherwise it would start getting too hot.
