@squinkque he actually did. Before he passed he celebrated 27 years sober and was a member of a sobriety group known as the Milwaukee Alano Club

I've watched American Movie 2-3 times which is a lot for me. Love that movie. Never saw this when it originally aired because I just wasn't watching Dave on CBS, but this segment is great. I see a couple other people saying Mike passed away. Anybody know what happened to him?

He sadly passed away from cancer less than a year ago. His life seems to have had a positive effect on a lot of people.

No way. Dave didn't make fun of them, he was intrigued by them. And they were deers in headlights on this stage. The level of fame American Movie brought them must've been blinding.
