The Fancott Miniature Railway is set in the grounds of the Fancott Pub on the outskirts of Toddington. The Railway is 7 1/4 Inch Gauge and runs a Out and Back Service to the Fancott Station. The Railway is classed as a Heritage Railway opening in 1975 and is home to 6 locomotives 1 Steam Locomotive and 5 Petrol Locomotives.
The Scamp Invasion Weekend was on the 19th and 20th of August at Fancott Miniature Railway where Scamp Locomotives designed by Colin Edmondson met up to take over the Railway and provide motive power for the weekend pulling passenger trains other Colin Edmondson designs were also welcomed Like a Lister Stumpy and a Tyke which did not manage to make it.
This year being the first event of its type at the Railway got quite a bit of interest and 5 Scamps and 1 Lister arrived at the Railway for the event. Scamp Locomotive numbers 43, 49, 84, 105, 141 were the Locomotives that featured at the event and in the video. The video covers shots from all around the railway with different Locomotives and Trains being taken round the Miniature Railway. I also cover some night running with the Scamps and Lister Locomotive finishing the video with a Footplate Ride on the Lister Rail Truck.
A massive thanks to Stevie for organizing the event and all other Fancott Miniature Railway Members for supporting the idea for a scamp invasion weekend. Thanks to everyone who helped for putting on a great weekend and making all of the visiting members feel very welcome and looking after us for the whole of the weekend.
