It feels a bit like this is a convenient way to test out this new transparent material before introducing it into the 40k and AoS lines, while also having something to release for MESBG while they sort out whatever issues are holding back new releases.
Rhys from MMF was on Peachy's RU-vid say they can now 3D paint when they 3D print. Curious if that is what GW is doing here, or if this effect is by starting with a bit of dye in the plastic.
I would guess its a bit of dye in the plastic. Seeing the 3D pre-painted stuff from HeroForge and the like it tends to be quite drainy. Hopefully can get my hands on some to see what they're like
@BecauseOfDragons looks like it announced for pre-order this week. Have no idea what day. Saturday December 2? Time? Midnight England time? Also says delayed for US, so might not be able to order it here...gakkk!
Maybe something we'll see as we move into the new year. Could be a great chance to get some new plastic heroes for some of the different factions and then turn them into Battlehosts. Some new Rivendell Elves + new plastic Elrond and his Banner Bearer for example would be a great one.
