With both kits, I think it would be absolutely lovely to see a French Cafe, maybe built in a remodeled like castle or something? Both kits give major European, Art Deco vibes!

I agree with you that this kit feels somewhat small... I also agree that the items look beautiful, I feel like they're really delivering on the quality of build/buy kits lately. But I feel like it's missing some items? Like, I would like to have the dining table without the umbrella too. A couple of clutter items like towels or flipflops would have been a good addition. Some more plants would have been nice too. A second pergola made of wood. I don't know... I think this could have been a nice stuff pack maybe, combined with the swimwear kit and really tap into the Riviera Retreat theme, with a pool slide, pool bar, more hairstyles fit for swimming, some poolside outfits like those flowy dresses (forgot what they're called) etc. But who knows what's coming up with the expansion pack. Anyways, thanks for the overview :D It's always nice to have a good view before buying

The pergola has the curtain shadow when there’s no curtains otherwise yeah I agree it looks like a great item.

Lol, glad someone else commented on that! I was sitting here trying to puzzle out that shadow and couldn't figure it out until I noticed the curtains appeared on a few of the swatches. 😂 I think I'd almost exclusively use the curtain swatches because that shadow would irk me.

I immediately bought both kits and what I noticed right away was how well both kits go together swatch/color wise. It just screams mediterranean pool café to me :D

Overall, I actually really love these kits. I’ll be honest, I do have some mixed feelings cause I feel like the bistro kit could’ve been part of a refresh for Dine Out. But even so, the items from both kits are beautiful and far more versatile than I had initially expected. And it’s really nice to have some more high end/sophisticated items that aren’t either really dated styles or kinda gaudy. The Get Famous and Vintage Glamour packs had some nice items, but many of the swatches could be unusable depending on the vibe you want. So these will be so nice to use is fancier builds. I didn’t really look much into the packs before watching this so I hadn’t known about the waterfall rocks. I’m gonna use the heck out of those! They’re are so pretty! And I feel like they could look so cool as a feature in a water park or even just a regular park. It’ll be so nice to not spend 20 mins moving fountain jets around a rock to make the most realistic waterfall. lol

I love that brown and green stone pool trim! I would love to see a castle or cottage with a pool made to look like a natural feature including some of those rocks and waterfalls. Or maybe a Roman bathhouse as a spa with some of those tiles and fountains in the bath/pool area?

That pergola is so gorgeous! I wish you hsd shown the rock waterfalls in live mode, but I'm already sold on the concept. Is the drink tray a functional item or decorative? I'll be buying, no doubt. I really like the kits today; I don't have the reservations I've had with some previous kits.

Thank you for reviewing both these kits. I like that the swatches go together so well in both of these kits no miss matching wow. After seeing your review for each of these kits I do know that I will be buying them because they have a ton of use and cross functional playing.

If you enter build mode, filter by special>event rewards> go on colours and select them all, then you will see that all the login reward items are intact already in the game after the update and ready to use 😆
