You bring up a good point about legality. My personal stance comes out to be "it's fictional characters, it isn't that hard to write an alternate universe where the character(s) are aged up to adulthood". When it comes to real people, I think it's ok to "ship" them in terms of thinking they'd make a cute couple, but that it shouldn't go past that without permission. It ESPECIALLY shouldn't go sexual without both permission and all parties being at least 18+.

Idk how to feel about nsfw teen art, if they are teens in canon and the person draws them to the point of looking as if they are of age then i think that is ok, because they arent thinking of the kids as the nsfw, but the adults of them, idk really lol, like im personally fine with it as long as it is at least youve aged them up in your own story or drawing?

Most of the discourse about adult shippers now being "pedos" comes from salty Klance shippers (of the Voltron fandom) looking to discredit their rival ship in Sheith, and it sorta snowballed from there so I wouldn't worry about it too much; ship what you want to ship and post videos on whatever shipping topics you want because this will probably fade over time anyways because of how ridiculous the notion is. Plus animated fictional characters are an amalgamation of traits meant to represent human beings...not actual human beings, they don't have ages, they don't have maturity like regular people do because they don't have actual life experiences (beyond that of what happens in canon, I guess?) and in the case of a lot of anime, they're drawn to look _waaayy_ older, are written by adults and are typically voiced by adults and they're typically in outlandish situations that aren't remotely close to anything that happens in the real world either. Ultimately all the discourse surrounding this is pretty silly and to anyone outside of fandom seems even more ridiculous to people in it and just seems like a lot of people projecting, like, what the hell happened to just calling something a squick and moving on? Also now Tumblr doesn't allow NSFW content, neither does Deviantart and AO3 has pop up screen disclaimers that ask if you're 18 or not to see specific fanfiction so no one can complain about somehow just "stumbling" into adult fandom spaces anymore and finding NSFW art/fics of ships they don't like, if someone finds something they don't like these days it's most likely cause they're specifically looking for it and seeking out something to be mad at lol.

This topic is most confusing because their are books and manga that are about particular ships and some are inappropriate and rated 18+ (aka. For adults) but if adults who ship teens considered pedophiles then why are those books sold or even created??? This is confusing and I'm just gonna go look at cute corgi pictures now.

Haven't finished the video yet but from the point past when you started talking about your first OTP/the cousins, the music sorta overpowers your voice a little bit in volume and it was a tiny bit hard to hear you...or maybe that was just my shitty headphones, whatever.
