Hi Anchal and Sushant, it is nice to hear you appreciate this number, as for multiple entries prior to the lead singer in this rendring would not work because this is a spiritual folk song with intent to motivate individuals to be thoughtful, though original poetry script is in Punjabi language and sung with g-hařaa and chimtaa only. Though modernised they couldn't fall too far from the parent tree.

@@SushantandAanchal Loved it. I should've added the exclamation mark here but that key doesn't work. Sufi songs just rejuvenates one's soul. My maternal family originally hails from Azad Kashmir and have a strong poetic background. My maternal grandfather was a poet and my great maternal grandfather fought in world war one on the Egyptian front and he wrote most of his poetry on the battlefield. My great great maternal grandfather was a dear friend of Mian Muhammad Baksh - a great Sufi saint and a Western Punjabi Hindko and Panjistani poet regarded as the Rumi of Hind Indian subcontinent and belonged to the Qadri tariqah renowned especially as the author of a book of poetry called Sayful Mulūk as well as the romance tragedy Mirza Sahiban. The name of my great great maternal grandfather was Mian Jeevan Khan and is referred to as 'Jeevna' in the poetry of Mian Muhammad Baksh.

But then, what's new??You guys always say about Nescafe Basement that the best is always expected from them......so is the case with your reactions..... best wishes for the future. I would hazard a guess and say that the stringed instrument you were inquiring about is the tambura/dambura.....a C. Asian instrument basically. There is no match to our instruments lile sitar, tabla, and harmonium. I am not aware of the name of that insteument which looks like a sitar, but it's a local instrument used in the north of Pakistan which I believe has been used for the first time in a band. As you said correctly, all the instruments could be heard seperately and voice of the singers does not get lost in the loudness of the music. This was probably Hadiya Hashmi's first official performance in a band which Al Hamdo Lillah has made her world famous. She has already sung the most difficult clasdical songs sung by the great legends of Pakistan like Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Madam Abida Parveen, and above all Madam Noor Jehan with perfection. The next song that I can suggest is a punjabi song originally sung by Madam Noor Jehan "Jadoon holi jai lainaan maira naan, mein thaan mar janiyaan way mein thaan mar janiyaan way."
