I definitely don't think this song has anything to do with silly KPop fan wars. Lately, it seems like we are becoming more and more divided into tribes, based on politics, race, religion, gender identity, etc. And now, we're divided even more due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The message I received from this song is that each one of us needs to grow a universal love in our hearts, big enough to embrace all people, even those on a different side. Coldplay and BTS have both been spreading this message for years. I love both groups so much.

Also Jimin and Jin's parts were small but SO beautiful 🙏 When Tae came on that second verse I just fell in love with his voice even more. Also we got RM singing, J-Hope's steady rap, and can we please appreciate Yoongi's own backing vocals on his rap?? You can hear the whale call (0:17) and then clearly at the end (3:10). It's like a signal reaching out and then a reply at the end saying "you're not alone". Charlie! I think they didn't put the captions just because they wanted to show the visual lyrics for the lyric video especially using Hangul. I'm preeeeetty sure they still have the official music video coming but before or after that that I'm sure they also have the making of song with coldplay and bts working together! So don't worry about the ENG CAPTIONS, this is the world of self promo! Gotta keep the people dragged in and anticipated for moreeee 😂 and clearly IT'S WORKING!!
Jimin's harmonizing in chorus as well I believe it was Jin singing you make my heart light up inside. Its on the documentary. If you're not looking at Jin when he's singing sometimes, you just don't believe the sounds are coming out of his mouth.

The color coded lyric didn't them job.. the chorus is not only Chris, but all of them. You can hear them in the background. Also part 12:33 says its only Jungkook when you also can hear Jimin harmonizing with him. And you hear Jins highnote and sometimes in the background 2

It's like the universe itself manefested the right song and moment for these 11 spirits to sing it's song! Did you notice the whale call? Harkens to the loneliest whale in BTS song. I first saw Coldplay in Feb 2001 at their debut in my city (Toronto) at a small dance venue (approx 2000 pple). Fell in love with their music that night. I'm a proud ARMY since 2015. I noticed that many treat people who stan many groups like the "mud blood" from Harry Potter if u know the reference. even though I don't really follow other pop bands like BTS and mostly rock bands, I don't get what's wrong with liking many artists as long as you are respecting everyone.
That's the issue. Multis, most of them, are quick to throw shade on BTS or drag BTS in light of other groups, but still claim they are BTS fans. If they could be equally respectful, there wouldn't be any issues.
This was another great collab for BTS!! They've wanted to work together on a song together with Coldplay for a long time and finally got the opportunity to do it and were genuinely happy whilst doing so. Yes, I would have loved it if Jimin and Jin had more lines BUT this is a collab at the end of the day and if BTS are happy and love it then so do I 💜 Also agree with the fact that they should have put subtitles on the official lyric video like?? I get what you mean about this song relating to manifestation. I practice manifestation daily, and when I heard the song, I felt the vibrations. It is a song you really have to listen to with headphones to hear the frequencies. It's a vibe and I think I might get into more Coldplay soon. 💜
I think Vocal line sing as the backup in the chorus.. because it seem like that in the video in twitter, i hear some their voice. And i always think that BTS can do a dance break in the last part of the song.

The song according to Chris Martin is about loving who ever you want no matter the race, sexuality, genders etc. The thing about scanning multiple fandoms, it started bcoz of how old Kpop culture was, the fans were a bit over the top, also bcoz the companies don't allow free interaction between artists from different one & there was always been this sense of competition pushed by them. As for BTS it's also probably bcoz of how much they were hated by everyone including Kpop fans of other groups & mistreated by some then bigger artists & the companies trying to downplay them.

As for the quote "And they said that we can't be together, because we come from different sides" I see that as BTS and I-ARMY (International ARMYs) and BTS's growing popularity with the general public. Not many kpop groups have as large of an international fanbase as BTS does which contribute to their international fame where other groups aren't making as much of an impact. There are people that have admitted to liking or becoming interested in BTS starting with Dynamite, Permission to Dance, watching carpool karaoke, one of their song collabs, or yes even the BTS meal. But BTS has a way with writing lyrics in a way that they can have multiple meanings so we won't know exactly what they were thinking writing that part until they say something. We have interpreted lyric meanings to be completely different from what they were thinking about before, but they have mentioned that they find it interesting to see our interpretations.

Actually, Jin sings a lot in this song. You'll be able to hear his voice if you wear a good pair of earphones. 1. He's singing in the beginning along with Chris (before the 1st verse; Chris and Jungkook) 2. He's singing the chorus harmonizing with Chris in the 2nd chorus (the chorus right after V's, NJ's, and JM's part) 4. The "You make my world light up inside" (Right before JH's and SG's part) 3. He's singing in the ending chorus along with Chris too. It's understandable when some Armys didn't realize it first time hearing the song.
