During the week of National Ceiling Fan Day, Charles Smith, Matthew Cody, Louis Weedman, and myself spent close to a week in Indianapolis working on the museum. This video was taken at the beginning of the week, before all major updates took place. A couple fans went up and 1 fan came down the day this was taken, but other than that, all updates took place over the next 4 days. I did not take any videos of the updates, you'll just have to wait until someone visits next and posts a video. Over 30 fans were put up, and all but 13 of Dan Neuman's fans have been taken down, including the stairway. A massive thank you goes out to Tom Frampton, Fanimation's founder, CEO and AFC Museum curator, and Kim Frank, in-house fan restoration expert, and AFC Museum assistant curator. None of this would have happened without your support and hospitality.

Just out of curiosity how do you get stuff hung in the museum like if you wanted to donate a fan to hang there ?

Reach out to one of the admins of the Ceiling Fan Kids Facebook group (Geoff Doctor, Peter Kissane, Charles Smith). They are the upstairs museum committee. I've been very involved in the museum in the last couple years as well. We try not to take common stuff (like a Coca-Cola fan, or a Casablanca Delta II), although that rule has been broken a few times for the sake of filler lol. Did you have a fan in mind?

@@ECFE I see Well I have a few fans I guess I could donate like a Panama V that’s in the apparently rare Black and Brass Finish Would that be acceptable ? I also have a Tara but I think that’s a little too cool for me to want to hang there lol I also have some antiques but they are in serious need of restoration and a LOT of work and I’m not sure if I want to hang those as well I also have one of those cool looking Menards TOC fans in Red with the spot light kit but I think those would be too common and I also have one of those Minka Aire relabeled Hampton Bays but I think those would also be too common And the other reason I was asking was just out of curiosity And also would I have to come up myself to install them should one of those fans get excepted ?

Panama, yes. We were talking about trying to find a black/brass one to replace the white/brass one. So that would be excellent. We wouldn't mind a Tara, since the old one is gone, that's your call tho. Antiques are downstairs, not sure if your an AFCA member, if you are I'd reach out to Kim Frank if you want to look into loaning some antiques. Yes the TOC and Hampton are too common. TOC especially we don't need because there's now 2 red fans in there. As for having them installed, if you're over 18 you can come the day before the group trip, or early the morning of to install them yourself. If you just want to drop them off and have one of us do it, reach out to Kim and arrange for a drop off. He'll place them in storage until one of us heads back up to do more work.

@@ECFE I see Well I’ll see what I can do That Panama needs some blades lol because Habitat being the place they are lost the blades the day after I first saw them with the fan lol But I can get those Also as for getting the fan installed I would have to drive up there Or could I ship it there ?

Yes, I believe you can ship it there, just make sure Tom or Kim know. Or you could ship it to one of us and we transport it up there, whatever you prefer. Only issue with shipping is the possibility of it getting damaged, and no one wants that
