A lot do, they just tend to all look like the g1 box art. One fun example is Newage legends barricade that styled the box art after the 2007 bayverse toy line.

Hopefully megatron joints are strong enough to get some posing in combo mode. The original toy combination looked cool but tidalwave arm ships were to heavy

@@awesomeguy9513 It wasn't that the arm pieces were too heavy. Mine manages to lift them just fine. However the back peace makes the shoulders so they can't move while combined. He loses all his articulation, which he barly had in the first place, because Tidal Wave adds so much extra bulk that the few joints he has have no where to go. His tank turret also moves to the front in combined mode which also doesn't help with his limited articulation. The combined mode only has one pose it can do because every joint on the figure is essentially locked in place turning them into a statue. Prime at least has arms in combined mode.

I like that while every other Third Party Company seems to be trying to one up at least one other company with early G1 designs (choices are good) FansHobby is just doing their own thing with Masterforce and Unicron Trilogy stuff. Like even G1 is more than 3 or 4 years worth of stuff, there is plenty to go around guys. Great review!

If I can go back in time where the idea of a Transformer toy is still on the process of being invented, I would work as one of its creators and make Megatron as a battle tank transforming-robot. Not a robot that shrinks like Ant-Man and turn into a handgun.

What I enjoyed so much about the Unicron trilogy is how they felt no need to just be a gen-1 rehash like everything else these days. And how beautifully garish this version of Megatron looked, with that tank cannon paying homage to his gen 1 cannon without being exactly that. So good.

To me, Armada was awesome. Loved the fact the Armada voice actors for Prime and Megatron were Gary Chalk and David Kaye, it was a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one, as I'd been watching Beast Wars religiously back then 😁😊

Very cool looking figure! I hope they do a repaint as well. It reminded me I actually own and have on display (my collections are a bit bonkers lol) the full purple one (Galvatron version?) and the full purple Tidal Wave (Shock/Seawave version?) of these guys that of course can combine, so cheers for the reminder too! LOL

Honestly, what I appreciate about this is the understanding of what the original toy was going for. Megatron's tank mode wasn't really a tank so much as a playset shaped like a tank, and this toy really gets that. Once you have it all folded out, it's more of a base mode than anything.

The way the gun swings around in bot mode is so fucking cool. I can't believe they nailed that bit and pretty much every other likness to the comics. They really did the illustration justice and made a great figure to boot. Great review.

Thoroughly enjoyed this review and yes, Armada Megatron was my first Megatron too outside of Beast Wars. Only real gripe I have is that in the animation his left hand was a claw and has his hands don't fold in or need much room for tank-mode storage that was entirely possible. Psyched to get this figure, just hope it gets out of China before CNY starts.

Probably the benefit of Armada/UT toys over almost every other line. Their animation models were based directly off every simply toys.

a masterpiece quality armada megatron, with WAY better articulation than the original, COMPLETE with independently articulated fingers so you can do what most people have done with their armada unicron figures, and pose him like he's flipping you off, oh, if only i could afford it

while I hated armada overall, the one aspect I really liked were the decepticon toys. I felt they were awesome and fun. as such, I am super looking forward to this guy

Many of the toys were awful (Grapple/Smokescreen, Lazerbeak, Hotshot, Optimus Prime, Cyclonus etc) but some weren't bad (Unicron, Megatron, etc). I hope this line gives us the interesting designs with better engineering; basically what Armada should have been!

I have the Prime and 100% want Jetfire and Overload. Still unsure about getting this Megs. I still have my original Galvatron repaint. I remember buying my 1st Armada toys post RID and being terribly disappointed. Hot Shot was my 1st figure and the entire rear axel flew off mine when I activated the missle gimmick. The lack of articulation on a bunch of these always made me scratch my head. The concept for this line was there but poorly executed. These Fans Hobby versions are what I wanted all those years ago. Armada is not that high on my list of favorite Transformers series but I love some of these designs so I'm glad they are getting their due.

Please don't do Shorts. I bloody hate them. From what I've read they're deeply unpopular. You might as well open a Tiktok channel. For me, they look awful on my TV. I wish there was a way to block them for those that hate them.

@@primalconvoy I will say the shorts are different. Perhaps Ben can do a video on the updated lighting feature that can be short but long enough to present its lighting effects. If there is a YT Short, it might be an attention grabber in a positive way telling all video is on its way in a Benscollectables fashion. ✌🏼

I have a shelf for Megatron and Prime versions and this Megatron would look great there but I don't like the Armada Prime and I'm not whiling to pay around $200 for a TF action figure I don't like all that much. Thanks for the review Ben.

What they should do with mega Tron is yes the Armada sequence were he fell into Unicron but primus retrieves his spark and reincarnate him into mega star saber and primus revils what he did in the past and show's what Star screem did witch was heroic and tells mega that you have a second chance to prove yourself to be an atobot don't waist it as you did wen you were Megatron

I want this but something about the face sculpt seems a bit off to me. Could just be on camera thing but the prime looks perfect. However my dream after seeing armadas designs getting theses amazing redos is armada jet fire. One of my fav characters and designs from the show. A shame the original toy was kind of flimsy but this is the perfect time to make my dream come true.

Armada and energon are my favorite transformers series I really hope that we can get masterpiece figures of all those really awesome designs my favorite character out of all of that was scorponok from energon but this version of Megatron is still my favorite version of him I really hope the energon designs get masterpiece figures by third parties or otherwise at some point energon starscream was my favorite design of him although Armada did starscream Justice story-wise energon star screams design was just cooler in my opinion I liked the idea of them all being able to power link in energon it was just really cool I hope we get masterpiece figures of them someday

Sure sounded like the waist ratchet broke 12:30 during transformation from tank to bot. Seems like you intentionally didn't demo waist swivel very much during articulation demo. Can you confirm please?

Is this a pre-production copy or final release? 12:30 started with very pronounced heavy clicks and then one last harsh click then nothing as you bring the waist around. Would really like to see an update showing the waist swivel again. Wondering why they put a ratchet there anyway.

Sounded worse that it was as it was recorded on the camera mic so it picks up all the echo in the room instead of the usual mic that had become unplugged

I'm not a fan of the screen transitions. They are a bit jarring. I couldn't see the 4 Minicons on the screen near the start of the video. Could you use a different way please? I think this figure could have: - A way to shorten the barrel in bot mode. - A "Black Megatron" or cartoon recolour.

So you want them to be bad figures? Lol the armada designs are over a decade old. All they did was update the articulation and quality honestly. Looks straight out of the cartoon. What did you want them to do just curious?

@@PSYCHOWORLD It really doesn't look straight out of the cartoon go look at the original designs from the cartoon this figure is stylized to fit in with masterpiece the articulation and features are not the issue is the overall style of the figure hell one thing I would take away /change is remove the waist armor and bring the hips.up a bit with perhaps bigger thighs they didn't even get the colors right I just want something that looks like it hop right off the screen and this aight it

@@pixelman6193 interesting well it’s all subjective and I prefer my figures to look premium not like an old dated cartoon. I find the best choice is a mix of a premium realism mixed with a toon inspired design. Fans toys is the best at this. To each their own though

For the show scale it's actually spot on, although for the original toys Megatron was even smaller compared to Armada Prime since NC is the same height in combined mode.

Not a fan of the scene/screen transitions in this video. They are too fast/jarring and in some instances, I couldn't see stuff (like your 4 different Minicons standing next to each other). Please go back to your regular way of doing videos.

Energon/Superlink is unwatchable garbage. Armada, or more precisely, it's Japanese version: Transformers Micron Legend, is an incredible watch. and so is Transformers Galaxy Force (Dubbed into Cybertron), but Galaxy Force acts more like a Braves show than a traditional Transformers series, so it may not be exactly to the traditional TF Fan's taste.

I wish fanshobby pulled their finger out their ass and made their armada designs more fathful to the show. Their extra details hurt the designs. The face on this megatron looks bad..... the Prime super mode looks off. They could have easily just made masteroiece versions of those characters and got my money. But so far I hate both their figures and its because of them tryibg to change the designs for the worse instead of better.

Fans Hobby is known for their stylizations. They've been doing this for ages, not just with their Armada figures. Personally i love it as it makes the figures look more unique instead of just being a better version of the originals.

@@muisverriet but not compared to the animation.... its very "animation" accurate(since he has to look like scourge in RID) with little stylized pieces that add to the character instead of taking away from it. Their armada optimus looks like shit. Hasbros teased armada optimus looks 10x better. Their super mode is proportionally wrong and off. Thata the onky reason O didnt get it. They are my most loved versions of the characters. Ive wanted masterpiece versions of them for 2 decades. I would have bought something remotely good. These however dont display the characters and are therefore useless as a purchase to me. Their g2 optimus and scourge are updated versions that look like the characters 100%. Their armada optimus and megatron however.... are ass

No one literally no one is telling you how to out the lr44 batteries in the back. This has been a complete waste of time. My instruction booklet is in storage. I'm super annoyed.
