I was just at Morecambe away today with my team Salford, Stewards are appalling, 5-10 of them started assaulting all the fans for swearing which is very natural at Football, never going there again big let down and shocking game
Those Stewards are out of order. The cowards are acting hard because there are so few of you. The Guy using bad language should be sacked. Well done for taking this Incident further.
TBH the stewards could have been a lot stricter. It was an EFL match and under the EFL ground regulations 13 "Nobody may stand in any seating area whilst play is in progress. Persistent standing in seated areas whilst play is in progress is strictly forbidden and may result in ejection from the Ground.". And provided they are SIA qualified they are allowed to remove you from the grounds as its private property. So while I sympathise with you, they were well within their rights.
Marcus sksks same here they tried to tell us the same they point the message on the speaker we just started singing if u love rangers stand up Urrrrsss🔵⚪️
Boo hoo 😭 boo hoo, just think if Pompy are throwing dozens of seats at you..... are you going ask them to sit down and the the other 2000 to be quiet ? See how far you get
Them stewards are a fucking joke, ik that there are announcements at football games for safety and being seated, but atleast let the singing away fans stand up you get me!
They ripped a chair apart and didn’t follow stewards’ orders on behalf of EFL regulations. Like it or not, those fans broke rules and gave an opportunity for the stewards to expel them.
Heavy handed policing but technically they are right. It’s an all seater stadium, you can’t stand up, persistently, or you’ll be asked to leave. Whatever you think, and I’d be inclined to agree, legally they were right. You have to sit down.
''we are stadning up and we are standing up'' lol credit mate. Stewards have no right to do that, they can tell you to sit down but not kick you out, Shocking
This video is so misleading. Clearly the Stewards weren't kicking them out for standing. Otherwise they would of been asking everyone who stood up to leave. Classic case of mob mentality of away fans, trying to sabotage the stewards who work there. Probably because the game wasn't going your way. Nobody gets kicked out of a football match for standing. This is slander, you're lucky none of the stewards have charged you with libel, for trying to tarnish their reputation as stewards. Though I doubt they'll of seen this. Football fans! Stewards don't exist for you to take out your frustrations on. They're main aim is to be hospitable to fans and oversee the safety of matches. Stewards cannot ask someone to leave unless they're creating a risk to safety. Perhaps they were swearing loudly and had been asked to stop multiple times so others can enjoy the game. Or perhaps they were being to boisterous. Only time you could kick someone for standing is if they're deliberately trying to obscure other fans vision, or the match is televised and the swearingvand standing up is comprising the visual and the audio. But if you're accusing them of dismissing a person for merely standing up, then firstly, why weren't you also asked to leave for standing??? Why were they the only ones asked to leave? Since many people stood up. You're clearly frustrated at your teams performance and trying to project your anger onto the nearest people who aren't your comrades. It's very distasteful if you ask me. If a Stewards were sacked because of this video I'd be recommending they sue you for libel and slander. They're literally trying to keep you all safe. And I'm absolutely right because the match ended 1-1 and you were playing bottom of the league. It affected your playoff chances and you couldn't do nothing with the ball all game even tho you had all the possession. Morecambe kept hitting them on the break and ended up having more shots than Camebridge too. Basically Morecambe frustrated Cambridge... and you, acting like a child, have taken it out on the stewards. Not only that but you've went as far as to publicly slander them on RU-vid. You should be ashamed
Well then young Josh,I'm in my 60's and after experiencing the conversion to all seater grounds, especially the old style like my own town,I gave up going many years ago....they have KILLED off all the atmosphere you used to get at the smaller grounds, and the comradeship you used to get with pals u had grown up with going to support yr local team.I'm afraid it's the snowflake generation of yours and a few yrs before u that have tried to turn this country into a sanitised toilet...football grounds were meant for the working class to stand in with yr mates releasing yr tension after a hard working week down the pit or the heat of the steelworks...Look at what used to be,''kop ends'',and they are just full of a mixture of people who are not interested in singing and busting their vocal cords to shout on their team..their are I suppose just a few exceptions...Football is certainly not my first channel to switch too,and I can get many a match on,free through my pc...yep,football has died for me,but try and enjoy yourself whilst yr still young enough...UTM's
It was Margaret Thatcher's government and the Taylor report which made all seater stadiums mandatory. Hardly what you condesendingly called the "snowflake" generation. The cause? Hillsbrough and the dreadful ineptitude of South Yorks police; and also the disgraceful night of Luton v Millwall, when Luton Town and Bedfordshire police decided not to make an FA cup quarter final match all ticket, and the ground ended up filled to beyond its capacity, forcing hundreds onto the pitch and into the opposing fans areas. Only by the grace of God were fans not crushed to death that night in the away end at Kenilworth road. These awful events were the catalyst for the changes that came later.
@@freebornjohn6876 Taylor's Report was only a recommendation, my friend but The Chairmen of Clubs thought ££££££££££££££££££ for charging extra for seats. " Fun Fact " I was there in 1985 for Luton/Millwall in The Away End !
So if you haven't been for many years, you've got no idea what it's like now. So clueless comments from someone who doesn't go to games are irrelevant. Football is a thousand times better experience now that it was 40 years ago when we were caged like animals, treated like vermin by police and subject to some of the worst football this country has seen. You sound like a real dinosaur who has no idea about a modern crowd or modern game. I do.
As usual, in the eyes of the away end, its never the fans fault. More often than not, many fans who to go away games that involve long journeys have been on the ale since about 8am, are louder and way more disruptive than they think they are, and then cannot believe they've been booted out. There's 2 sides to every story and I have no doubt the stewards and police would have a very different version to the one you see here.
