We are fortunate enough to have season tickets and we tailgate quite often. That being said some tailgaters are really uncourteous as can be. They purchase a parking spot then use one to park their vehicle in. One spot to put there tent in and yet another spot to set up their corn hole game.
If they charge $80 for parking.... it's not my cup of tea but I say let them do it. Add a couple incidents of pedestrians blocking access and cops have been called more than once the people moving other people's stuff so yeah rules are rules they're already breaking through the gate and driving like crazy as you can see in the video so it's not like these are all the smartest people in the world so if they don't consider their own safety they definitely are considering anybody else's..... most rules/laws that are pesky are in place for the bottom of the barrel of the population.
Not true, they have invested big money to park there over the years, why should some one who had been to 2 games in their life get to park there? They shouldn't.
Ive got some old news for ya We did that at the OAKLAND COLISEUM since the thing opened...just before they moved to Las Vegas you had to fucking RESERVE A STALL.. $75.00 to tailgate- MAN-AM I GLAD THEY MOVED PRO FOOTBALL IN 2024 IS A JOKE🤡🤡🤡
See, I think it is the opposite. Since the gates are closed to vehicles, pedestrians are generally safe(r) from injury from said vehicles. Once the gates open, then you see the aggro vehicles storming the parking lot. Seems more dangerous to me. Sell them reserved spots and then manage it. Tailgaters get what they want and the team makes enough to cover the management of it. Hell, let them set up the night before and hire some security. Make it a weekend event. If enough people show then you could get some food trucks and there is even more money. IMO, the chiefs are leaving money on the table. Sell the fans what they want.
Who gives a shit if you have the same parking spot every week?? That’s just idiotic to race in for that. I’ve been going since Arrowhead opened in 1972 and where you park has no effect on the outcome of the game.
Has anyone noticed , the more you pay for Chiefs tickets , the crappyer they treat the fans ? I live 150 miles from arrowhead and can't afford to even watch the games. I've been a fan since 1968.
I've been a Seahawks fan since before the team's first Summer Camp. Been on the bus since the NFL draft in 1976. And it's gotten so stupid that I quit attending the games years ago. For one thing, season ticket holders don't count anymore. SUITE owners count, but the rest of us are the unwashed masses. When some foreign corpo weasel [who's a soccer fan anyway] gets to be at the head of the line ahead of fans that paid money to sit in the seats and put up with a team that was threatening to be the first Zero Win team in the No Fun League, then it's clear that 'fan loyalty' and the 'fan experience' no longer counts for what it used to. Besides, two tickets, parking, a burger and a drink $600 frikkin' bucks. So thanks, but I think I'll woof and bark at my team either at home or at my local watering hole instead.
Has anyone noticed, that when people continue to pay beaucoup money to be treated like crap, there's no reason a vendor has to be nice to them? Has anyone also noticed, that when said people grow a pair, realize that worship of a sports team is about as pathetic an example of crass consumerism as you can get, and stop giving them your money, and get enough other zombies to wake from their trance, that said vendor's treatment of you might improve?
Shows what these people's life priorities are. All this crap for a stupid sport. Like little kids thinking they "own" a parking spot or a piece of grass just so you can sit at a stadium hours before a game showing others you live a miserable life if your only joy is a football game. I don't care how long someone has parked at a certain spot, it doesn't make it theirs? And I'd take it if I wanted to if I were to go to a game. This is not tradition. I can see why they did it. And secondly same spot for 8 years? I can’t wait to finally have a nice spot & I won’t feel bad either nor move for anyone.

But since my team's season tickets got priced somewhere north of stupid and the total expense of going to a single game [parking, tickets, something to eat and a drink] got to be better than $600 a game, I've decided to do my woofing and barking at my local watering hole. It's just as fun and it's WAY cheaper.
Create a COMMON PARKING diagram. Enter appropriately. Someone takes your traditional spot, they have to move, you have to feed them and give them a drink. New traditions of the old.
