Even as someone who's not as well versed in playing the piano as you are, the improvement you made over the past 2 years of playing this piece is as clear as day and night. You are overwhelmingly more confident, make seemingly no mistakes, and actively look better when playing. Congrats on staying motivated to continue improving on your ability to play this piece over all this time!

im 13 and 8 years of playing piano. I learned this piece when I'm 10 but I forgot it, now I'm trying to recover and learn again. It's actually pretty easy though you just have to learn your fingerings. Fantaisie-Impromptu is one of Chopin's secret works, he doesn't want us to know but THIS MASTERPIECE IS VERY BEAUTIFUL. I LOVE IT sounds so Romantic!

Just a little heads up. You probably shouldn't start learning Chopin until about 3 years of piano (but, those are just numbers, so if you want of course you can :D), let alone Fantaisie Impromptu 😅. I would recommend either starting off with some of Chopin's easier pieces, or maybe no Chopin at all until a little while. Mozart is a good composer to start with! But, this is just my opinion so if Fantaisie Impromptu works for you, go for it!

How long do did it take you to learn this? And do you think its possible for someone who's highest difficulty piece is Debussy Arabesque no 1 to learn at least the first 20 seconds of this piece? I don't think I can even with professional help but I need an expert's opinion so do you think I could?
@blizzardpiano
@blizzardpiano Год назад
Hi! It took me 2 weeks to learn the notes back in the day, but I've been improving upon it for 2 years until it got to this point. If you're playing the Arabesque, you certainly have a lot of the basics of piano playing in place. I think that you can reach Fantaisie Impromptu after a couple of years of lessons with a good teacher. It is possible! Also, keep in mind that paying fast requires a slightly different approach and technique. Many people need to get over the mental roadblock of playing fast. Good luck!
