@@lulw1935 Kanye has great lyrics, production, and rapping ability. He can sing well and even out rapped Kendrick on no more parties in La, even his lyrical content was bette
@@jacob8949 ??? body of work is nothing without production. that doesn't make sense. kendrick rapping king kunta on a lift yourself woopdidiscoop sample production isn't going to make tpab a good album. fantano contradicted himself there and showed (like always) how much he hates kanye lmao
@@Jachai_Castaneda basically what it is is they say that an artist which Fantano very openly dislikes was put on top over a better artist in the video, as a joke of course. It’s kind of just satire.
@@joeysmother7535 lost me with the longevity part. Scarface has been putting out classics with the Geto Boys since 1990 and other than Doggystyle, Snoop ain’t touching Scarface’s discography.
Can’t believe how overrated Kendrick is … People are scared to say he has mid albums .. DAMN and Mr.Morale , meaning he hasn’t had a great album in a decade … that’s tuff
@@ishaanjain7101 personally i think he is, but that's irrelevant, the video was made a year ago and the guy just likes kendrick, what's wrong with that?
People underrate how many fun, memorable, quotable, iconic lines Kanye has when doing these match ups. It's so common nowadays to dunk on Kanye's rapping skills, but then why does everyone remember so many Kanye lyrics?
Being iconic doesn't equate to skill. Ed Sheeran has a bunch of lyrics people remember, so does Mariah Carey, so does Drake. No one is putting any of those three in a top lyricists of all time list. Kanye's lyrics are great for his style, but if we're talking pure technical skill, then he's not the best
@@user295. But we're not talking pure technical skill, we're talking best rapper. It gets into a whole argument about what's the point of rapping. Kanye is certainly able to affect and move people through his lyrics, and he doesn't require the streaming numbers that Ed Sheeran or Drake have to make an impact. There's a difference between memorable and repeated to the point everyone remembers it.
@@arvaakuka8568 I mean, you did say 'rapping skills', which means technical skill. You didn't say anything about how it makes you feel, which is irrelevant when talking about technical skill. I like some really shitty lyrics which make me feel a certain way for example. It doesn't get into any argument. We were talking about technical skill, not level of emotion
@@user295.if we’re talking about pure technical ability then why snoop went so far, he picked him over scarface who is a much better rapper “technically”
@@peterstanchev3156 I don't know, ask Fantano. I never said anything about agreeing with his bracket. He didn't use the same criteria throughout, so I disagree with him as well
Cube is still close though it’s not like he not int he same league, they are both in top 15 at least if not top 10 or higher depending how you all do it.
Scarface’s bars on My Minds Playing Tricks alone are better than any verse Kanye has ever spit. Face was spitting those introspective bars way back in ‘91 when that wasn’t even a thing!
picking Cube over 2Pac is the cultured choice. I know Pac has a legendary reputation but let's be honest here, Cube had one of the best runs in rap history 3 years in a row from 1990 to 1992. Totally underrated nowadays.
Pac had 4 albums and 3 of them were good but nobody's talking about them as the greatest rap album ever. Lets be real if Pac never got shot he wouldn't be talked about the way he is now
Doggystyle one of my favorite albums but Snoop shouldnt have even made it past LL Cool J. At least he had multiple great albums, which Snoop didn't. Mama Said Knock You Out and Radio are two of the most influential albums in hip hop history too
Tical is one of the most underrated MCs of all-time as far as his voice, flow and lyrical presence go. He just doesn't really have a top tier catalog to bolster it
@@cmackk7284 People who still listen to Meth's newer music will know he does a lot of features with lesser known artists. But he still absolutely kills it and that's the kinda thing a lot of people would've never heard from him
Unless the topic is specifically "rapping skill", Kanye will always get my vote. Nothing is more impressive than being the total package. Kanye is is one of the greatest producers ever, a damn good lyricist and songwriter at his peak, has one of the best discographies of any artist in any genre, he has amazing live shows, countless hit songs, and is one of the most influential artists of this generation.
The mans Personnal life aside, not a lot of artists(let alone rappers) can attest to having basically 6 albums(CD, LR, Graduation, 808s, MBDTF and KSG) that are 10/10 classics.
@@nateds7326 100%. I was literally thinking about including nearly exactly what you said in my original post (Only I forgot about KSG). I was going to say that Ye’s first 5 albums are considered masterpieces/classics, which is something that not many artists can say. And that’s not even considering Pablo, Yeezus, WTT - all great albums in their own right.
8 classics? The only certified classic is The Carter 3.. the other albums are ok Kendrick has way better lyirical patterns, delivery and writing skills, also 3 certified platinum classics on his belt.
It’s crazy how much he hates Wayne! When between Scarface and Kanye he doesn’t take into account the body of work but when it gets to Wayne and Kendrick he says you know what even though Wayne out raps Kendrick in a battle “we should consider Kendrick’s body of work.” like come on melon 🍈
I’m pretty sure he doesn’t hate Wayne, he just did a bad comparison there. I’d put Wayne over Kendrick in rapping ability but Kendrick over Wayne in terms of discog.
I mean to be fair...even tho peak Wayne outrapping Kendrick easily, we also have to take into account valley Wayne, when he was spitting wack punchline after another. As far as consistency goes, Kendrick got him.
