@@aycannehirIts hard to tell you because on youtube its pretty hard to learn theory, its like learning what you leanr at school but on youtube, the best way to learn is to take musics lessons with a teacher.
I’m a retired piano teacher and this child is off the charts genius ❤️❤️❤️ This is a very difficult piece and certainly one of Chopin’s best known. He plays it not only with great precision but also with maturity of dynamics. And he brings out the inner voices beautifully. What a joy for his teacher! I envy him/her.
How many hours a day do you have to practice to be this 'mature' at five? And for how many years? At this age, Chopin himself was a carefree boy, who couldn't even dream of playing at this level.
But most importantly he is gunna have a mental BREAKDOWN BREAKDOWN. then question his sanity whilst playing tweul tweegul teetul sterrrr. and then learn to play all over again. But kid use the secret joestar technique if you see her.
He's not even looking at the keyboard a lot of the time. Not even tall enough to sit atop the bench and reach the pedal. All from memory. Lots of feeling and expression. Pure genius. Bravo Jonah!
Он получает искреннее удовольствие даже от процесса игры! Вообще не вижу никакого напряжения...! Такой малыш! Такой гигант! Одно целое с музыкой! Я восхищена !
@@bobermoment well he isn’t that great, I mean for his age he is most certainly a prodigy, (and I don’t how old you are,) but for someone over 10 it wouldn’t be too hard to do better
@@Ash1nerTV the problem is ive been teaching myself for about 3 months, just got a piano lesson, and ive just been struggling learning a lot, with 2-3 hours of practice a fay. kinda impatient to get good
@@bobermoment there are massive amounts of piano pieces out there it’s actually ridiculous. You could spend 10 lifetimes only playing beginner pieces that still sound beautiful and majestic. Spend a while learning fundamentals and playing easy yet grand pieces, it’ll all come into fruition
I don't even know what is the most impressive : - The fact that he is playing this complex piece like a master - Hitting the notes with those small hands - Being halfway in his seat while playing - Not having the sheets - Not even looking to the keys while playing
...never crossed my mind... I am happy to see /learn what is possible, and just do what I like with passion and enthusiasm... You may notice that these young geniuses have "robotic style" with no real feelings, hope that may come later if ever...
He was so small that he was half standing and half sitting on the chair. He sloughed because of this. When he was tall enough to sit on the chair, he postures improved a lot. I am amazed with how this child’s brain and motor skills surpassed his overall physical growth at the age of only 5!
When I was his age I was practising violin up to 5 hours a day not because I had to but because I enjoyed it... What makes you think this is not what he loves? He plays like he enjoys it.
@@annona718 I cannot say he does not enjoy it as you cannot affirm the opposite. I am a musician too, I just hope he is happy and he is not overpushed by his family. On the Internet, we rarely see behind the scene.
@@annona718 I’m not saying he doesn’t enjoy it but almost if not every situation where you see kids like this who are ages 3-5ish playing this flawlessly are heavily pushed by the parents. It’s honestly more of the parents pleasure than the kids.
Amazing talent. I have seen and heard some of his other performances on RU-vid and he is very impressive. I am a 73 year old retired professional musician who can appreciate what he is able to do. Technic is very good of course considering his age....but his musicianship and interpretation is outstanding. Very few top musicians have the dynamics and feel for the piece that this boy does. I hope he won't get burned out at an early age by people pushing him to perform. Now is the time to refine his playing and continue to make it fun for him. He obviously enjoys playing the music.
I agree with you a ton! Playing music should be fun and not something forced down the throat of someone! (i am not saying this kid is, but just agreeing with the statement)
Robert isn`t he sensational? I like you hope he doesn`t gets exploited as he loves the music so, you can see it when he t, urns his head to one side and the pleasure is so apparent, just wonderful.
My thoughts exactly, there is a spirit involved, perhaps not to his knowledge but still. We underestimate just how spiritual the world we live in actually is, consumed with our egos and our senses.
I can assure you all, being a pianist myself and having played this piece, that this kid is hitting the right notes (99% of the time). He is beyond amazing for his years.
Let's say 90% of the times. The fast parts are very "sloppy". Not to say this isn't impressive anyway. But as a father of a 4 year old I always wonder how much of this is self motivated and how much the parents made him do it. I get trained animal vibes as soon as I see a young child that is this good at something - and I might be doing them wrong but I can't avoid a slightly strange gut feeling.
❤❤❤❤невероятно. Слезы на глазах от такого гения, от счастья видеть и слышать такое чудо. Малыш дышит музыкой, он как будто не думает, а чувствует каждую ноту❤❤❤
What truly BLOWS my mind is that 90% of the time he's not even looking at the keyboard. He is totally FEELING the composition and effortlessly producing the piece naturally, without a second thought. Amazing!!!
Maybe the child is one of those savants who can play just by hearing the music but cannot do anything else, including taking care of themselves. There was a very famous one on the TV show “60 minutes” years ago.
I think it is uncommon...nay, impossible to feel the music and play it by instinct, he must have practiced for hours, to the point it all becomes muscle memory.
I totally think that he's talented, so lets get that out of the way. As a pianist myself, I am 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘧 jealous of him, but I do not speak with unnecessary bias. I don't think he's doing what you think he's doing. When I feel the music, I kind of stay still, just focusing on my hands and the way I'm playing, but I look carefree about my expression. I think a lot of performers make sure to smile and look away to make it look as if they're enjoying the piece, but really, they aren't. Or at least their face isn't an indication of it (If you want an example, look at Lang Lang's performances. Him and his piano should get a room!). About him not looking at the keys, I think that's probably just because he understands chord shapes and has the muscle memory and confidence to do it. Since this kid is so talented, he probably went to multiple recitals and was taught to have a good performer's face. That's why he was moving his head around and only glancing at the keys, not interupting his facial expression. Again, the kid's extremely talended. EXTREMELY talented. But I just think that this is innacurate.
He is neither looking at the notes nor the keyboard. He is looking away to look inside for how he wants the note to sound. At age 5. This is incredible.
Is he only five? I can't believe what I'm seeing. I have a very good musical memory. I know this piece. I can remember each note and tempo. If he was doing something wrong, I'd know. And I tell you that he played this piece perfectly. And he's not looking at any sheet music or the keyboard. This kid is a prodigy. This piece of Chopin is very difficult to play and remember.
I know this piece pretty well too. This is utterly incredible. There are plenty of youtube videos of young kids hailed as prodigies, bashing out pieces without the slightest musicality. This guy is the real thing. He is listening to his own playing and crafting every note. The fact that he is even using the pedals when he's too small to sit on the stool, and has the hand stretch of a young child too ... everything about this blows me away. Definitely someone to watch for the future. EDIT: I have just spotted his other videos. He's now nine. Check him out playing Liszt's _La Campanella_ with incredible sensitivity and subtlety. He has blossomed.
To me it is missing Chopins soul. It is too splendid. But I admit he works the melodies out fine, he even seems interested in them and of course his hands are much too small for a good control. A great talent, all the best for his future!

for those saying, this is just hard work, there is no way on planet earth you can convince me that someone can just practice hard and be this good at five years old (saying this as a 14-year-old violinist). your brain and hands need to be wired differently.
This particular piece is a LTCL (diploma level) exam piece. Incredibly difficult, from the very beginning with the 4 against 3, and 3 against 4 polyrhythms. Just the first verse took me hours. 😅 And this little guy smashed it just like that.
Oh no - I used to be able to play this piece from memory but the point is that by the time he's my age for everyone piece like that that I know he'll know about 20 or more ( and I'll be dead in any case!)

Talent must be promoted and stimulated. What if someone had told him he was too young for the piano? The world would be deprived of this incredible artist and his performance. We must always do our best to recognize the talents of our children and encourage them!
@@mariaalano3077 Great things happen when expectations are high. On the other hand, if a child is overworked and under constant pressure to excel, this will have a negative impact on a child’s mental and social health.

@@tarationg they were effortless because of his obvious skill, theyre not saying it was hard for him to play octaves, they said imagine how much better they could become with larger hands, and a better seating position.
He's capable of some tremendous playing even while he's physically not the ideal size to be playing a piano. Of course, he's making it look effortless because he has so much talent. But this means that when he's bigger and is more physically suited to the instrument, he's going to be really shockingly good. That's what I meant.
yes, many young people play the notes but there is no light and shade but he has mastered that. How he even has the hand span and he is just looking around casually. Unbelievable.
I don't think that's right. This video only shows the practical skill of the pianist, i think the main thing children lack is maturity in the music. I mean how the hell am I supposed to expect anything i can play anything close to this, but to me what music is about is the emotional aspect. I think he can become a very good pianist in the future because he won't struggle to learn pieces, but focus on adding emotion. He is also too small to fit most advanced techniques involving the muscles in the hand and using body pressure and stuff, but then again the people who made that weren't expecting 5 year olds to play this
@@pacenal_18 I totally agree. He's very good, very skilled, but this is mechanical, not emotional. Not to take anything away from him at all. Exactly as you say, the emotional side will be able to come later.
Comments from some people here: 1. He drove his mom to the hospital the day he was born 2. He's been playing piano since in his mothers womb. 3. Started in the womb. Tiny fingers tapping against the placenta. 4 He practices 9 days a week, 40 hours per day 5. He is 5 years old, 6 years practice 6 He plays very nice with their twelve fingers 7 «My fingers are too small» is not an excuse anymore 8. His parents ask him for permission to leave the house
How is this possible? His hands are so small and he's not even looking most of the time! I didn't learn this until I was 17. He plays with such a lyrical touch too. This is artistry you do not see in a 5-year-old.
It has been written that music is absorbed by the unborn. If his mother played this piece every day while she was pregnant then he could have absorbed it. I read about a violinist years ago who studied a concerto while pregnant and later the son knew every note.
Okay, I have been teaching piano for over 30 years, how in the world did yhis young fellow learn this?? Sometimes i can't even get a student to put their fourth finger on the B flat.....😮😮😮. God has indeed blessed him with rare skill and talent. Keep up the great job!!! Miss Monique 🙂🌷🙏
@@karlabritfeld7104 or maybe he loves the piano? While it doesn't happen very often sometimes children find the thing they love doing at an early age. We can't know either way, so don't make ignorant comments.
I get suspicious with prodigies this young. He was practicing piano at 3 or 4 years old, to be this good at 5? Or is he being "encouraged" to do nothing but this 12 hours a day? By a culture that is extremely concerned about the achievements of their children? Even if he naturally enjoys it, that does not mean it should be the dominant activity of his life. The fact that he is being made into a RU-vid star makes me even more suspicious. Let him live his childhood and let piano be a natural and moderate portion of his life, that is all.
I can't say Jonah's interpretation is the best I ever heard but there are MANY adults who fail to employ as many shades of "color" in their playing as he does. Well done!!
