[Link in description] This 1941 Olds Super is a classic horn with a classic sound. It has that crispness and ping that you want out of a trumpet. As you know I'm a huge fan of Olds trumpets. This Super has a very diverse and complex sound shape. It also shares some design elements with my favorite Olds design, the Super Recording!
This horn has the same bell flare and garland as the Super Recording design. It has a 2-piece bell, stress free bracing, dual bracing between the bell and the valve block, trombone style water keys, and some other great design features as well.

This horn has been restored, including the valves (the compression is incredible). So it's made in 1941 and there may be a couple tiny specks of redrot developing, but with the valve rebuild this horn has a very long life ahead of it.
This horn would be a great choice if you're into Blue Mitchell, he played an Olds Super on his album "The Thing to Do" which is worth checking out if you're not familiar with it.
This horn has been well maintained and judiciously restored, it's the perfect option if you want a vintage horn with great playability!
