This is better than any Trailer. Not only that the whole film is not given away by not showing the most interesting parts in a trailer, but you actully give the viewers a glimps further. We see how the characters come to life and also we see past the actors to the makers.
So the clips that have their sound muted... Was that because they were discussing critical plot points? If so, could any of our deaf and able to read lips viewers please tell us what they were saying ;)
Vousie V the clips aren't muted. It's just that sound is recorded separately for the movie (the boom you see them holding over the actors heads and mics that are planted on the actors). This sound is synced with the footage in editing, but the behind the scenes crew doesn't have access to this audio. J.K.Rowling, David Yates, and David Heyman wouldn't be mic-ed, so unfortunately, that's why you can't hear them as the BTS camera is too far away for the onboard microphone to pick up what they are saying.
They have mics that have a radius to record only the actors voices/other sounds. They cut out the excess sound and only use the audio from the microphones.
Also movies usually recreate most of the sounds of the scenes from zero after filming (foley), except the dialogues (although they do dub sometimes). Plus they use very directional mics.
