About Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald:
From the imagination of Wizarding World creator J.K. Rowling comes the Fantastic Beasts film series, magical adventures set before the time of Harry Potter. At the end of the first film, the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) was captured by MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America), with the help of Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne). But, making good on his threat, Grindelwald escaped custody and has set about gathering followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings. In an effort to thwart Grindelwald’s plans, Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world.

From my point of view, the dragons which came from the blue flames effect were really ugly compared to the rest of the CGI of the movie. But this is just my opinion. Have a nice week everyone !!!

@zeratul tassadar You want proof? Here it is: WARNING: SPOILERS!!! Before Dumbledore died, we had Severus Snape make a deal woth Dumbledore to kill him for reasons I need to research...again. Harry felt that Severus Snape betrayed the school and his army because Dumbledore trusted him. We have the blonde haired girl who can read minds - forgot her name - was under a spell by Grindelwald and betrayed Newt and others. Malfoy was ordered to kill Dumbledore and bring Bellatrix, Greyback, and a few Death Eaters - I hope that is right - into Hogwarts. Crudance was led into the cemetery to join Grindelwald for the war. Last but not least, Dumbledore's sacrifice for war. The character who dies in the fire - I will edit the information of the names later - sacrifices herself for Newt and the others to escape. Coincidence? No. Enough proof? So far, yes. WILL ADD MORE PROOF LATER.

We don’t give Theusus enough credit. He JUST lost the love of his life, almost lost his brother, and is completely conflicted by choosing Dumbledore or the Ministry. Now he’s fighting a GIANT FRICKING FLAME DRAGON, and holding his composure. Appreciate Theuses please. He just want to be happy. Let the man be happy please. All he wants is for his family and friends to be safe and happy.

Wasn't it hinted in Deathly Hallows (well, in the books) that the duel between Dumbledore and Grindelwald never actually happened? Or at least not on the scale that everyone in the wizarding world talks about. Bathilda Bagshot seems to have been speaking the truth when she talked to Rita Skeeter.

@@Pana79 agree! Of course I love hearing the full theme, but not resolving this here is the whole point! However, this is not the "hero theme", it's the main theme or "Fantastic Beasts Theme"! or "A Man And His Case" if you want to go by the name the suite from the first film got. The hero theme is the swashbuckling melody best heard a few times during "Matagots" :)

That fiendfyre (Yes, this is how you spell it....) is even more powerful then Voldemort’s. (Blue is more hotter than orange when comparing fire.)

Blue fire is hotter than orange fire and the fact is even after grindelwald left it was still active and would have levelled Paris if not for combined effort of all the wizards there. Just think it took all of the might of all the strong wizards to stop the spell. Grindelwald is in a level of his own.

The second half of this sounds like it could fit in with the inevitable duel between AD and GG when AD starts and ultimately overpowers GG and wins the Elder Wand. I could see AD and GG in a deadlock, their spells locked in place and this music playing as AD's spell forces GG's back on him like what happened in HP and LV duel in DH book and DH P2 film.

That doesn't happen until 1945, this film takes place in 1927 nearly 18 years earlier, it's most likely a duel between some of the main characters of this film with Grindelwald, obviously something major occurs, perhaps a death or a major revelation.

Just saying, imagine Gelart conjuring the blue fire along with his supporters and the Aurors somehowing defending with their last bit of strength and enters Dumbledor (at 02:10) and pushes the whole fire spell alone from the aurors and entres the arena blasting out Gelarts supporters and getting into a duel with Grindelwald(at 02:42).

Amazing composition. One of Howard's best. It's interesting, but he seemingly does his bet work when's composing for bad or disappointing movies - The Village, Lady in the Water, Happening, Last Airbender, Tourist, Maleficent - now this. All those scores include masterpieces like this one, songs that are more epic than the movie deserves. Songs like The Healing, Flow Like Water, Bedroom Dreams, etc. It's like Howard pushes something better out of him when he's trying to cover up for an average/below average material.

Leta's storyline was really similar to Q'ira's from Solo, Star Wars Movie. Both fall in love at a young age, but become separated, only to be reunited and sort of playing both sides, but ultimately sacrificing themselves for the person they love.....

I've not even seen the movie yet and the music gives me the chills all by itself, especially from 2:42 onwards. Can't wait to see it! Also, I've come to love the comment section for movie soundtracks in general. No matter how flawed a movie might be, I rarely ever see negative comments in the soundtrack comments.

I prefer Voldemort to Grindelwald. Lord Voldemort very much is the personification of true evil. He’s not an idealist, he’s not meant to be relatable, he’s not meant to be human and he’s meant to be more powerful than all (but Dumbledore). He is meant to be like Satan. I prefer him for his power, but also for what he represents. He is not meant to be a human who gives into dark desires like Grindelwald, he represents the dark desires themselves. His imagery of the serpent is the most explicit depiction of this. In most world religions, the serpent/dragon represents the forces of evil, nature and chaos. Think the snake in the garden of eden, Apophis in Egyptian religion, Tiamat in Babylonian. The serpent is the sign of the devil. In the classical “hero’s journey” in order to reach full enlightenment, the hero must slay the dragon- again think Ra vanquishing Apophis, Marduk and Tiamat, St. George and the dragon, Jason and the Serpent of the fleece etc. He’s unparalleled natural power, the power of pure evil and chaos. Chamber of Secrets is actually a very very good example of a classic heros journey. The basilisk represents chaos and Ginny represents the pure aspect of nature and innocence, with Harry as the hero and Dumbledore as the hero’s “Virgil”. If Harry Potter were Egyptian mythology, young Dumbledore would be Horus, Grindelwald would be Set, Old Dumbledore would be Ra and Voldemort would be Apep (Apophis). But Grindelwald as a person could never inspire the same kind of fear as an individual that Voldemort could. Grindelwald was human and represents a human threat. Voldemort was barely human and represented a superhuman, supernatural threat.

The interval within the two minutes sounded a lot like war horns signaling the beginning of a glorious battle, followed immediately by a chorus echoing the cries of heroism, grief, and wonder. It's highly appropriate, considering that the fiery dragons that Grindelwald released on Paris is like his ideology: magnificent yet powerful and deadly. The blue flames likely symbolizes how radical his ideals are, considering that all other shades of fire that come from the characters that reinforce the system are red. Grindelwald described how he would change the system as, creating "something new," yet the destructiveness of those beliefs threatened the current world, as represented by the historical city of Paris where one of the oldest pureblood tombs resided. The beauty of Newt's character arch is completed when he helped strike down the dragons with the red fire. The wands into the earth description almost sounds as if the wizards are scarring the very Earth itself now that they have literally fought fire with fire. The war horns have sounded, and the first battle of a great war is coming. Also, one more thing. How brilliant is it that Grindelwald's emissaries' dissaparations sounded like cannon and gunfire, as if Grindelwald was starting the war everywhere by spreading his seductive beliefs?

Oh boy, stop with this "Grindelwald>Voldemort" nonsense. Grindelwald was only more politically powerful than Voldemort. Tom was CANONICALLY the strongest Dark Wizard. Voldemort, however, was probably more powerful magically. His knowledge of magic was almost unequaled - Dumbledore’s knowledge exceeded his only just and mainly in different areas. Voldemort’s knowledge of Dark Magic was unparalleled in history, mainly because he had willingly committed himself to dangerous experimentation that no others had dared tried. This knowledge and his own magical experiments - along with and including his multitude of horcruxes - made him exceptionally dangerous, far more than Grindelwald. We saw the effects firsthand: his ability to react to his opponents’ actions was incredible, even for an accomplished Legilimens, his raw magical strength was almost unequaled, and his knowledge of magic meant that he could systematically unravel almost any protective enchantment. The only enchantments that truly stumped Voldemort were those based on the fundamental laws of magic, such as the Sacrifice Charm, and those that were constantly reinforced, such as those provided by the Ministry of Magic (my headcanon is that there were entire dedicated groups of wizards and witches at the Ministry whose entire job was to constantly cast, recast and reinforce protective charms; that’s why Voldemort was unable to break the Order’s defenses of the Burrow and Hogwarts while the Ministry was outside his control). Remember, Dumbledore defeated Grindelwald while Grindelwald possessed the Elder Wand. Dumbledore drew with Voldemort while holding the legendary wand himself. Yes, he wasn’t trying to kill Voldemort but he was trying to subdue him and could not do so, even with the powerful Elder Wand. To be honest, the only reason that Voldemort had less political power than Grindelwald was because his aims were different. Grindelwald wasn’t aiming for personal dominion, merely wizard dominion. Therefore, he was able to use a more aggressive strategy. Voldemort’s strategy was meticulous, subtle and patient precisely because his aim was personal control of the world. If he created too much chaos too quickly and exposed the magical world to the Muggles too early, he could have set back his plans for world domination by decades or even centuries.

I am not sure why people find Grindewald a lesser evil. He wasn't going to come out with his real intentions of enslaving a few muggles and killing the rest ( the only way for wizards to control the muggles would be to kill most of them off ) . But he knew he wouldn't be all that popular if he came out with his true intention . Both he and Voldemort were evil in different ways . Voldemort was the most powerful and scariest to live . Too many Grindelwald fan boys ,but those saying he was more beign than Voldemort are just idiots . You just have to give Grindewald some begrudging respect for defying Voldemort before being killed by him in the Deathly Hallows book . And making Voldemort lose his temper

Brother, to be honest... Both of them had their fair share of time when they are at their peak! Let them enjoy their respective peaks. As far as the word 'Canon' is concerned, as of recent acts... j.k. rowling is not very fond of maintaining the previous canons. She might just alter the canon to make the stakes higher for the future fantastic beasts movies.

It was a shock to the system. They saw the inbound RPG rockets . Every one was shocked when the so called stick leaped up and from somewhere an energy field blocked the attack holding the said missiles fast until they were out of fuel. Then they were gently placed on the ground. As in the interrogation room pat stood her back to peter and Kramer. She turned to face them she was pale exhusted by the effort. She fell and was out like a light.bomb squad picked up the unexploded ordinance. She sat there wheezing slightly. "What the hell just hapened?" Neal staggered back to his desk. Not sure if he had been a bystander or a party to what had just happened. " what the hell just happened?" He managed. His co workers all looked from one to another they had just had their lives saved by who?
